Just an update on my previous review. Two years later and my experience with Prestige Auto still holds the title as the worst buying experience of my life. I recently had friends over for dinner and was asked how everything worked out with the cafe I bought from Prestige. I lost months of my time. I lost thousands in repairs, rental costs, etc. But what was even worse was how I was treated by the dealership during these events. Purchased the vehicle with no lights on in working condition. On drive home, tire sensor for slow leak turned on and check engine light turned on. Called them and they said they would fix everything. Took the vehicle back on Tuesday. They called and said everything was fixed so we picked up on Wednesday. On the drive home, both lights came on again. Called them and they said bring it back and they will fix everything. Took the vehicle back on Thursday. They kept vehicle until letting us know it was fixed on Monday of the next week. Went and picked up vehicle on Tuesday. Tire pressure light came on again for the same problem on the drive home. Turned around and took vehicle back to dealership. Told them we wanted our money back and they said that isn't going to happen. They told us to take the vehicle home with the lights on or leave the vehicle there and they would bill us every single day it was at their facility until they took it to the salvage yard but they explicitly said that we are not getting our money back. We purchased the vehicle with no lights on and are not paying for a vehicle that has lights on and issues. Dealership has failed to deliver a fixed and working vehicle with no lights on, has denied us our right to a refund for a faulty vehicle, and has caused two weeks of severe emotional turmoil and 10+ hours of drive time back and forth. They are currently in possession of our vehicle because I refused to take home a faulty vehicle with lights on for the third time and they are also in possession of our $10,600. I had to start the arbitration process of getting my money back. read more

I bought a 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque from the dealership on 1/25/2024 and it was shipped and received on 1/29/25, once I received the vehicle, I drove it the same day to work. On my way home the check engine light came on, I contacted the dealership who advised there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, saying it is a sensor issue, I asked why he would send the vehicle without repairing the sensor issue with no respond. The dealership recommended I get a fuel injector for the car, which should turn the check engine light off and it did not, they continued to say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. On 2/1/25 I took the vehicle to the best car care shop in Baton Rouge for a diagnostic and received several issues with the vehicle, I sent the codes, pictures and the worker estimate for repairs do the dealership and they still insisted the mechanic was wrong. So I took it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion at High tech EV shop, for another diagnostic and received the same information and codes, I sent that information to the dealership and once again they stated the mechanics weren't to be trusted and they are making the codes up. So, I contacted the extended warranty they issued at the time of the sale to only find out the issues wrong with the vehicle are not covered. I have paid 3400 to get the vehicle repaired only to find out the check engine continues to come on. And the dealership only offered to pay 700.00 for repairs that cost 5000.00 and had me sign a document releasing them from any liability with the vehicle. Unfortunately, despite my better judgment, I had to sign the paperwork because I had no more money to repair the vehicle after paying 2500.00 down 1200.00 for shipping, and then another 2000 for repairs. And I have only driven the vehicle three times and not for the entire day only for a couple of hours. And the vehicle is not operable and there is nothing I can do about it. read more

BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS. I bought a 2023 Volkswagen EOS for my daughter on 4/9/2024. I received the car on 4/12. Since it was a convertible I brought it to the carwash right away to be sure it wasn't leaking. Well it RAINED in my car. This was within the first hour of receiving the car. They did nothing to rectify the problem. Fast forward to June 2024. My daughter got a warning coolant was low. We bought coolant and then a day later got a warning the coolant was low so we refilled. Obviously there is a coolant leak. So we brought it for an oil change to make sure all was ok. Well the oil change place told us we has oil leaks so on 6/30/2024 we brought it to our local Volkswagen dealership. They found several leaks. $5,000 worth of repairs are needed to get the car repaired. do you know what Prestige told us? THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR US. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I will not quit until they are shut down. read more

I'm just here to stop anyone looking to buy the baby blue 86 they have posted that car is an accident waiting to happen besides that the car is not properly put together has been done in such a cheap way that I can't allow anyone to waste there hard earned money especially on how overpriced this vehicle is to begin with, car has bolts hooding the kit on none of the gaps are correct, has 2 spacers to push the wheels out to make it look wide. I get there and it looked like some one used a spray can of paint and painted the bottom of the rocker panels and the floor was dented up pretty good the fenders didn't long up the doors were not adjusted . and still was told it's a clean wreck free car . read more

i bought a 2010 buick from akron oh location. was told it had a 75pt check, told car was in great shape, once delivered to my lights were out. the next morning car did not start, towed it to local shop aaa shop and they said car unsafe and showed my right front wheel had about 20degrees of play in it. i spent 1700 on front end and car still did not start, dealership covered nothing and car was never even driven. it had bad wires and the pcm and tcm were both bad and now ive spent 6k on a car i bought for 8k because i was told car was in great shape, when i asked for dealership help i was told i should have come and had car looked at. now i will fight until i get this straight i have photos, videos, statements for all to see read more

I have never left a bad review here before, but looking at this as a pay it forward type of thing, I would implore you to avoid the Tallmadge location at all costs. We bought a vehicle because I was looking for a lower cost vehicle that would be good on gas for work and for the animal rescue transport that I do. I drove it for about 12 days and took it to the mechanic because the overheating light was coming on. He told me someone had rigged up a little fan to try to keep the car from overheating and that it had a blown head gasket and needed a whole new engine. Obviously, none of this was disclosed (as legally, it should have been) or I never would have bought it. The car was EXTREMELY misrepresented, and I would dare say the issues were intentionally hidden. I trusted them to be honest with me because I live 1.5 hours away and didn't have a mechanic in the area to check it out. That was certainly a huge mistake on my part. We have called in OVER 30 TIMES in the last few months and NO ONE WILL TAKE OR RETURN OUR CALLS. -They also said the car had an air bag. It does not. (HUGE issue which I'm pretty sure is illegal, not to mention as unethical as it comes). -The vehicle was listed as having antilock breaks. They do not work (the brakes were supposed to be fixed prior to sale). Both brake lights are still on. -The vehicle was listed as having air conditioning. It does not work. -The vehicle was listed as having cruise control. It does not. Nor does it even have a cruise button or setting. -We specifically asked if it would pass PA state inspection. They told me it would. It will not. -We also asked if the car was mechanically good. They assured me it was. It is absolutely not. The car was sold as-is, but it is my understanding that a dealership cannot avoid liability for intentionally failing to disclose a serious problem with a vehicle by hiding behind an as-Is clause. What they've done constitutes auto fraud (most specifically, the air bag and the switch to cool the engine that was damaged) and going by these other reviews, I am not the only one they've done this to. So now I am stuck making payments and covering insurance on what is basically a lawn ornament since it won't even start. I can't even drive it to transfer the title. Please save yourself the headache and go someplace else. *Also, if anyone at Prestige ever feels like returning our calls or getting in touch with us (2.5 months and 30+ phone calls later...) to try to make this right, I will amend my review to show it. Called n spoke to the salesman who sold me the car - Brian Kruzack, he assured me he would get some ordered from Toyota and send them to me. Now late July, NO Floor mats. I purchased a small SUV for my work car and also traded in another vehicle that wasn't working for my day-to-day task. I have to say I received a fair trade in value for my daily driver and I made the deal work. I will also say that sometimes sales associates need to be transparent while working a deal and they should always speak facts regarding the deal. I don't have anything to say bad about the car lot because the concerns I needed to be looked at on the new vehicle they all were completed and done as promised. I would only add that while working a deal the sales agent needs to know all details regarding finance and or rates and including warranty details, etc. when dealing with clients because that will make or break a deal! Overall this car lot is fair and honest and will try there best to have you pleased during and throughout the process of purchasing a new vehicle. I would and will recommend this dealership to my peers that are in need of luxury, nice, clean, reliable and or exotic vehicles they have it all! I purchased a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder May 2023. The first week of me purchasing the car, the check engine light came on and I paid for diagnostic testing at Midas and they found a catalytic converter code. The salesperson I was working with whose name is Lamar over on West avenue did not give me any customer rights. He just went on and said that the catalytic converter is not covered and he gave me a bill for $1700. So they did not discuss with or gave me an option on changing my mind about the car. And what was my rights about pulling out of the cell? They just gave me the bill and told me it was on me basically. Later on I find out that not only do I have a catalytic converter problem but also the transmission is slipping so between the months of July and October I was dealing with trying to figure out a transmission problem. And they were not trying to get me another option for another car or anything. They just told me what was covered in the 6 months warranty and that I needed to fix it and it was all on me. I went ahead and got it fixed and the warranty that they have only covered 1500 of the 5400 bill. Of course I'm a single mother with a special needs child and I work part-time so I had to take out a loan to fix the car plus pay storage fees for every day that the car was in storage at Waterloo transmission. Fast forward I also made a complaint on better Business bureau and the attorney general site and a representative by the name of Jeff contacting me on the issue. It was a back and forth piss match between me, him and the general manager at West avenue with her name is Natalie and she is not very nice. The only option that they gave me was that they will pay for the catalytic converter but I will have to pay for the labor. Which was $250 of money that I really didn't have because of the small maintenance issues that I had to take care of the car even after getting it out of the transmission shop. So yes reluctantly in January they did fix the catalytic converter. Currently I am behind on my car payments. I am not caring any type of car insurance on this car because I can't afford it because I have to pay back the $500 a month debt to the loan that I took out for the repairs of this car. They fixed the catalytic converter, however, they gave me a receipt of the labor. They did not give me a receipt of the warranty information on the part or where it came for from or any part information whatsoever. They just gave me a receipt of the labor that they did. I have been nice this whole time. I have not been angry nor have I been out of character or anything. But you just have to understand coming from someone who gave you their last dollar plus a car that was paid off for a trade-in to buying a car with a $7,000 problem. And people are just talking to you like you're just supposed to take it and be nice and smile about it. I am currently in debt. I have not been able to take care of my health needs or anything that my son needs because of the debt that I have to pay back every month towards this car. Plus not get it repossessed. Currently February 2024 my check engine light is back on AGAIN... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAR DEALERSHIP AT ALL. THEY SOLD ME JUNK! read more

So after buying a piece of crap car from these guys and them telling me the brakes were good when they couldn't even be bothered to put wiper blades on it. They've lied about everything. I'm sure they didn't check the brakes at all because they would have had to put it on a lift and they were branches stuck underneath the splash shield under the car but you could see by looking under the car with it sitting on the ground. They are a bunch of lying scumbags. I told them the max amount my loan can be for but they still turned around and tacked another $225 into my loan without my knowledge. If you buy a car from these people be prepared to be screwed. You might not know it right away but trust me they are screwing you over. Don't be stupid buy from a reputable dealership stay away from the scam artists. I paid a lot of money for the car I bought and I had to put a lot of money into it since then and I'm sure I will spend the rest of my time owning the car pouring money into it as I find more and more things that were neglected that they should have at least notified me about. My friend introduced Prestige to me when I told her that I'd like to drive a good car without paying a lot of money. She immediately said, "Why not try Prestige?" Initially, I wasn't sure whether that's a good idea, but later on when I went to Prestige, I knew this is exactly the right place that I need to find - Here I saw many fabulous cars that are used, so the prices are perfect. Better still, the quality of cars is actually very high and their staff members are truly helpful (especially Nicole). So now I'm driving my favourite Audi at a relatively low cost! The team is friendly and easy to work with but buy at your own risk. I test drove a car that had a check engine light on and I was told it would be fixed. I picked up the car and the light was gone but came on 20 miles later. I tried to schedule an appointment to have the mechanic look at it but I was ignored. I took it to my mechanic and found out I needed a new transmission. I also found out the headlights didn't work because they put the wrong battery in my car and I didn't have a light bulb in one headlight. Make sure you inspect the car before you buy it!! read more

I found a great car on their website earlier this week and was excited to find out that it was at Prestige Auto Group because my parents bought a car from there less than a year ago. They were taken care of with respect and their car buying process was extremely smooth. I went to the dealership on Wednesday, for a test drive, and dealt with Gaige. He was very kind from the start and things were going smoothly. After the test drive, Gaige and I talked about the price of the car, and he explained to me that they are willing to talk about numbers and would let me know what his manager could do. A few hours later, Gaige calls me to get things ready for me to purchase the car the next day. We ran a credit check, talked about my desired monthly payment and I explained my down payment. He explained that he would call me back tomorrow with news on the deal. I texted him the following morning asking for any updates and did not get a response. Later that night I come to find out that the car is no longer on the website. I texted Gaige again, asking if we were stilling continuing forward with the purchase. Still no response. I followed up with a final asking if he sold the car. And no response. I understand being a car business, I also understand that a dealership will take a higher offer than yours even if your offer was first. However, I do not understand dragging a customer along and then not responding for days, while in the middle of negotiations. This dealership sells great cars that are in very good condition, but if customer service is important to you during the car buying process, this is not the place to go. read more

For instance the light that indicates the AIRBAG doesn't work was covered with tape to hide the fact that the AIRBAG doesn't work. Bought a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with a 6 month/6,000 mile warranty on April 1st of 2016 from Prestige Auto for the sticker price of $6,500 and upon driving it home (that same day) multiple dash lights came on- the ubiquitous Check Engine light as well as the ABS light, SLIP light, 4WD light and VDC OFF light (traction control). Mechanic's bill to fix it was going to be between $4,000-6,000 (as of right now, the diagnostics of some of the lights haven't been finalized). Spent two weeks talking to Pete who is the manager at the Tallmadge location trying to get them to take responsibility. None of the repairs were covered by their "warranty" and Pete said they sold the car "as is" (standard for any used car dealership) and therefore it's my problem. After multiple calls and discussions, Pete finally offered to write a check for "a few hundred dollars" as compensation- for a $4,000-6,000 repair on a car that broke down the same day I drove it off their lot. They appear to buy a lot of cars at auction and turn around and sell them at markup. What they obviously don't do is any inspection or reconditioning of the vehicles before sale- and auction cars are often in need of a lot of work. I flew out from Colorado to buy the car after over a week of asking lots of questions. They told me it was in good condition with only cosmetic surface rust- that was a blatant lie. TONS of rust on the undercarriage and frame- in fact the exhaust system was rusted through. The brakes were so bad that the rears weren't even making contact. Car was in much worse condition than they communicated over the phone but they were offering a 6 month warranty, so I had a false sense of security. Huge mistake. The warranty is useless and is farmed out to a 3rd party to further remove any responsibility from the dealership. Prestige Auto is the quintessential shady used car dealership. Do not even THINK of buying from them if you expect any level of customer service or peace of mind after you sign on the dotted line. They take your money and run. read more

First off, they've lied about everything they could under the sun except the price of the vehicle. I purchased a 2006 jaguar s-type but before I did, I went over a few instances before I sealed the deal. Asked if the car had any dings or any of the above as far as cosmetic damage, they lied about that. The only reason I chose them was they guaranteed shipping, another lie. The vehicle has never been inspected before they decided to sell it. I had to cut my vacation short to fly from Dallas to Akron to get the vehicle because they couldn't find a shipper. The salesman "Danny" who I was doing business with left the car at the airport unattended because my flight flew in 10 minutes late. He left it in the parking lot with the keys on top of the tire under the wheel well? Really? Then to find the passenger side headlight cracked. Managed to drive the vehicle back to Nashville where I live only for the car to stall out on me more than once. Then the passenger rear reverse and signal light was not functioning as well. Brought all the issues to the managers attention which is Peter Petit or Kelly Klein, they refused to acknowledge the issues and basically told me was on my own with the exception of replacing the headlight which they sent twice because the first was the wrong make for the car and the second was correct but clearly used and abused. No intentions of satisfying the customer at ALL! Very disappointed and the experience was the worst. The car is in the shop again now because none of the parts have been replaced since it was manufactured. Not to mention the dents on the front passenger side they never told me about. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE ROBBERS. The worst experience I ever had purchasing an automobile. I bought it in December and just got the headlight from these guys???? The car is rusted underneath from exposure to salt and snow, another question I asked that they clearly lied about. read more
