SCAMMERS. My husband and I bought a 2019 Chevy Traverse IN CASH from them in March and the transmission blew after a month. We noticed the day we received the vehicle that it was hard-shifting into second gear. You can't expect me to believe that the people at "Prestige" didn't know this was happening. Unfortunately because of our hectic schedules, we struggled to find a time to get the car to the shop to have it looked over immediately. A few weeks later as I was driving with my 15 month old, the Traverse died in the middle of the road. It wouldn't go in reverse or drive over 30 mph, and the Drive indicator light was flashing. We brought it to our mechanic and were quoted $11,000 for a transmission replacement. This is when we discovered that "Prestige" Auto Mall's "warranty" doesn't cover jack shit, and when my husband reached out to them to see what we could do about the blown transmission/warranty, they chastised him for not purchasing their $3,000 extended warranty. Why would we buy a $3k extended warranty? I would've just bought a better car for that money. When my husband filed a claim with their third party warranty company, they were only willing to pay $1,500 toward a $11,000 transmission replacement. The "dealership" offered to do the replacement "at cost", but they're now dodging his phone calls. We even got a second opinion from a shop that deals specifically with transmissions, and they quoted us at $8,000 for a refurbished transmission. I don't know about you, but we can't just come up with that kind of money after dropping the money we scrimped and saved on a car. We now have a $18k paperweight. It's been sitting at the transmission shop for weeks. Also, the first time I took the car for a car wash, the black paint on the rims and emblems started to wash off. It looks like they colored it in with a paint stick. The front grille was also cracked and we were never told about this, despite having asked for a video of the entire car. They conveniently avoided that part in the video. We've been without a vehicle for over a month now, and have had to borrow vehicles from family members to get to work and transport our six children to school and extracurricular activities. Our summer plans are absolutely shot because we have no way to travel or do anything. This "dealership" is an absolute joke. I would NEVER expect to have to replace a transmission on a car I just bought from a dealership. If I wanted to pay almost $30k for a car, I would've just purchased a vehicle from a reputable, local dealership like we have in New York State. The only reason we bought from them was because we were looking for something very specific to transport our family of 8 and were having trouble finding anything locally. We can't afford to just shell out $11k or the cost of a new vehicle because the piece of junk we bought from this joke of a dealership scammed us. The ONLY saving grace about this podunk "dealership" was their salesperson, Wyatt. He was easy to work with and responsive. the purchase of the vehicle was easy as far as doing as much as possible over the phone. communication was good and people friendly, however, leaving the parking lot I saw a crack in the windshield. I called immediately a minute after leaving the lot to see if they would be able to fix it (even have a picture with the time stamp) and they refused to fix it. this is a noticeable crack, so whoever drove it to the lot would have definitely seen it and just didn't care I'd have to assume. didnt make me feel like this is a place of integrity or putting the customer first. won't be returning read more

I should've read the reviews before I stopped in here. I would have made the purchase elsewhere. I should've paid more attention when they were kicking out a young couple who were upset that the car they purchased 5 weeks ago doesn't work and the dealership wouldn't help them. I should have walked out when the staff was making racist remarks afterwards. I didn't, I purchased, and I almost immediately regretted it. When I picked up the vehicle it wasn't washed or cleaned out. It had barely any gas in it. Within 24 hours the check engine light came on. Looking back on all of the things I mentioned above, I thought I better take this to a dealership that I trusted before I take it back to them. The vehicle had several problems, most concerning was that the head gasket needed replaced. I called Tony and explained everything. He assured me that they would take care of it and just bring it back. I showed him the pictures & report from the dealership, He told me not to worry. A week later the car was ready to be picked, they said they replaced the head gasket and intake manifold gasket. At home, I popped the hood on the vehicle and realized that they hadn't touched the engine at all. No signs of repair or work anywhere. It was obvious. I went to look at the paperwork from the repairs they had done, realizing they never gave me any paperwork. I called Tony, and asked why I didn't have any paperwork., "That's because we didn't do anything!', Tony laughed! He then said that he was just kidding. I said, "While you think that's funny I actually don't see any evidence of any repairs at all. So I'm going to stop by and I'd like to get the paperwork and I'd like your mechanic to show me what they did." When I came by, Ollie, the service manager came out. He was angry and aggressive. I was shocked at his demeanor and the way he was speaking to me. I had to ask him to stop the aggressive behavior and to calm down. I was just looking for some clarification and some evidence of the work that was claimed to be done. Ollie, said, "I don't know who told you that we did those repairs but it wasn't me." Tony sent Ollie away as it was apparent that Ollie was on the verge of turning his aggressive behavior to a physical altercation. I kept several feet away as he was clearly unable to control himself. Ollie should never be allowed to talk to customers. I looked at Tony and asked why I was told that the head gasket and manifold gasket were replaced and now the Service Manager is telling me that they didn't need replaced and that they never did any work? He tried to reassure me that he would get to the bottom of It and it would be taken care of. He then gave me papers stating the work they performed, the document he offered up was a complete lie. 24 hours later, the check engine light comes back on. I called Tony and he said to bring it back. Before I did, the brakes failed. This time I went to somebody I knew and trusted. He told me the brakes were completely shot, they never should have sold the vehicle in that shape and condition. He also confirmed that no work had ever been done to that vehicle by this dealership. $2400 later, all new brakes. At this point I do not trust Prestige with anything, so I took it to another dealership to have them look at the check engine light. This dealership had performed the routine maintenance over the years for this particular vehicle, so they had a record in their system. They told me the head gasket would need replaced, that the head was warped and needed to be machined out but could be salvaged. This dealership concluded the reason for this damage was because the vehicle had overheated and the radiator had to be replaced. Prestige, would have known this, their Finance manager was the previous owner. This information was never disclosed to me. $1900 dollars later and the engine is working. I should have paid attention to all of the red flags. I should have purchased elsewhere. read more

I honestly do not even know where to begin with this place is so crooked and out of line it's not even funny and they should not be in business. On august 31 2024 my fiancé and I headed to prestige auto mall to purchase a 2013 ford f150. I do not have the best of credit so I needed a co sign for the truck loan. My fiancé willingly co signed for the truck. Meanwhile halfway through signing all of the paper work I caught them in their first act that they had switched her to main buyer and myself to the co buyer. They said we could not undo what we had already started to sign and they'd just have to fix the paper work. They promised our paper work right away but we never recieved any paper work for months. Prior to recieving the paper work we had got a phone call saying we needed to pay the title transfer fee. Which was a complete lie as that is all handled the day of the closing. Fast forward to February 13 2025, my truck motor blew up on me. I took the truck to a local reputable dealership here in Erie pa. Come to find out prestige had withheld carfax info about the truck there is magically 1 whole page of information of work being done to the truck that is missing. Also come to find out they sold me the truck with a bad cylinder head to begin with. I did purchase their integrity silver extended warranty. They sent an adjuster and the adjuster agreed this problem needed to be fixed and covered. A couple of days go by and the shotty warranty company comes back stating one of the parts, that is completely internal and can't be seen, isn't on the warranty so they denied the claim. It is all part of the internally lubricated motor and should rightfully be covered. I have spoke with several warranty companies and ford dealerships and they ALL would have taken care of the issue no questions asked especially with the purchase of the extended warranty. If I could give them a zero I would. My son bought his first car July 26th. When we test drove it we were told that the check engine light was on because they changed the battery. We were assured that it was going into service and they would take care of anything having to do with check engine light. Also, the tire pressure light was on. They were also going to take care of that. When it went into service they said it was an emissions valve sensor and they were going to replace it. And the tire pressure light was due to a sensor that they were going to replace. We came back for a second test drive and all the lights were off. So we went ahead and bought it. My son drove the 45 minutes home and parked it. 12 hours later when he went to get in it he drove 5 MI and the check engine light came back on. I talked to service after emailing a few times, they were going to order the part because he said it shouldn't have come back on. It's been a month and I still haven't heard a word from them. I have emailed texted and called and left messages. Nothing. Today I want to move it, and realized the tire pressure light is back on. We later realized that the battery had never been changed and he purposely misled us on that first test drive. read more

Today I contacted Prestige via phone in the hopes of purchasing a specific car. After about 30 minutes over 2 calls, we agreed on price and the salesperson Bryce was going to call me back in 20 min with the final cost and wiring information. No call back after 2 hours so I text Bryce, no response so I call. He does answer and immediately says that another buyer came in while on the phone with me with "money in hand" and they are going to sell to them. After some conversation, I asked to have the sales manager call me. After 20 minutes of no call back, I called the dealership and spoke with Tony the manager. He basically said they are going with the other buyer and if their financing falls thru, he will call me back either way to let me know. I find it hard to believe that in the 30 minutes talking with Bryce they had another buyer who also is making an offer. I believe they prefer this buyer because they are financing through them so they can make $ off the sale and financing. This business has a 1.5 rating on Yelp. They have a 1.24 out of 5 with the Better Business Bureau with over 100 complaints in the last 3 years. Yes, I should have did my research. Be careful out there. read more

This place has a good selection of nice cars. They had exactly what I was looking for. The price was good and Ron was a good salesman. My only issue was that the car was sold to me with warped front rotors and they brushed it off and said that it was just surface rust and it would eventually go away. Not the case, I had to spend a good amount of money and time to replace these. Had I known this, I would've had them either replace them or knock the price down on the car so I could do it on my own time. On 6 - 21 - 24 I bought a Lincoln MKZ from prestige auto mall in Cuyahoga Falls , and was told that the car came with a 6 month 6k mile power train warranty. I had the car for 29 days and the block cracked, which I found out is a known issue with the particular engine that this car is equipped with. I called prestige, left a message and they never returned my call , so I went there. This was on a Friday, and they told me that they would send a tow truck to get the car on Monday. Monday came and no tow truck showed up, again they didn't return my call, so I went there and the same thing happened, the tow truck was supposed to show up and didn't. This went on for 4 weeks in a row, no tow truck and no returns of my call . Finally they told me that the warranty only covers internal lubricated parts, not cracked blocks or cylinder heads. I had the engine replaced at an independent garage last month, it cost me almost $5,600.00 . Since the engine failed after only 29 days and less than 800 miles the least the dealership could have done was give me some of my money back. The fact that they totally left me hanging shows the type of people they are . I should have researched them online beforehand, because if I had I would have steered clear of them. read more

The one we were told was repaired and the light just needed reset. I was just quoted $2600 to fix the light needing reset. One small action was asked of them look at the driver rear tire it's leaking and please make sure it's full. When we went to pick it up the tire was low! Both cars were low on fuel also. I purchased a WRX from them at a competitive price. The test drive went a little poorly as the clutch was obviously bad. The shop fixed this before I took the car. In talks about financing, my salesman brought me an offer without an interest rate listed. I asked and he said it was "around 9%". It was 19%. I went with a loan through USAA at ~4%, so no harm done. My car had an overheating issue, which I brought up to have fixed twice. The first time it was "fixed" with a thermostat replacement, which took weeks and they were nearly impossible to communicate with. When it continued to overheat I came back, it took nearly 3 months with poor communication, and I ended up paying $2500 for the privilege. The 6 month warranty was worthless in my case. Worst dealership experience I've had in over 30 years of purchasing vehicles. This dealership from the top to the bottom is a reminder of why the "used car salesman" reputation is what it is. They lied and misrepresented the vehicle to make the sale and once the vehicle was delivered they have no time to listen or even attempt to help. Sadly, I live two states away and they know that, therefore don't care about customer service or honoring their commitments. The car I purchased didn't come with the all weather floor mats as advertised. When I contacted my salesman, Hugh, his response was, "that was my mistake". The vehicle had multiple cosmetic, electrical, and structural issues that weren't disclosed, and had to immediately go to my dealership for 5 weeks getting major work done before it was able to be operated safely. Then, once out of service...$1900 and 5 weeks later, I got to drive it 4 days before the temporary tag they had given me expired. I had tried to register the vehicle but a month later I still hadn't received the title to my car. I called and was told they hadn't even requested it from the previous owners lender yet. The title clerk said she would contact them that day (Friday) and have it sent directly to me. 3 weeks later, still no title. I called and left multiple messages with the finance and title departments over several days...no response. I called and spoke with a manager who cut me off to transfer me to the same title clerk I had left messages with and finally spoke with someone who told me the title clerk was currently on the phone with the previous owners lender trying to get my title and that she would contact me. Still nothing. It has now been more than 2 months since I purchased from this dealership and I can't drive the car. I have been mislead and lied to by the salesman, lied to by the manager, and lied to and forgotten about by the title personnel. Went in to buy a car and when applying I warned them that I did not want a lot of credit inquiries (meaning not applying to that many banks) because my credit is very good and I didn't want it to go down. The salesman, Davee, and the sales manager assured me they wouldn['t apply to that many. Fast forward, three weeks later, after I didnt buy the car I have received over 15 letters from different banks they applied to without my consent. Now my credit score dropped over 20 points. After a few months with the car we learned a few things. They had bought it with issues, and had worked in the car to resolve these issues and then sell the car for a profit. This not not a bad business practice at all, a lot of companies do this. Our car was fixed and then sold with an odd noise that nobody could diagnose ... it never gave us issues either, but it was there. After doing not digging it appears most of their inventory is purchased with either accident damage or mechanical issues. Their workmanship seems reasonable, just make sure to do your research on the car before purchase, google the VIN number to see if anything comes up ... carfax only works if the shops/dealerships turn in records which often doesn't happen from private dealerships and service garages ... and realize that you are getting a "good deal" for a reason. We drove 3.5 hours to see a car that was supposedly in great condition. The car had scratches/damage on front bumper that was not disclosed. Salesman said "He must of missed that" after "he told us it was a 9/10 and he's really picky". The 360 car view was conveniently taken when it was raining and didn't show the damage. They said they would fix it and agreed on a price. After we didn't take the extended warranty, the manager decided he was losing too much money and cancelled the sale. I had such a wonderful experience at Prestige Auto Mall. Marcus and Tyler were phenomenal. I had recently bought a Jeep Compass and totaled it two weeks later and was having such a hard time with insurance and dealerships. It was comforting to have people like Marcus and Tyler work with you and listen to what you wanted. They made my experience super easy and offered to drop the vehicle off to my house 30 minutes away! We have been on the lookout for a particular car with a manual transmission and low miles. We currently own such a car (2007) and would like to replace it. I entered my wish list on Car Gurus some months ago. Two weeks ago I got an alert about a similar car at Prestige Auto Mall in Cuyahoga Falls - right around the corner from our house!! My husband (a mechanic at an area dealership) and I drove the car and we bought it! Due to the Christmas holidays (weekend) it took a few extra days to get the money for our purchase... in the interim Prestige was amazing!!
