They couldn't figure out what it was, so I took my car to Honest1 in Loveland. Ended up being the rear passenger wheel bearing. The scam is, my tires were never aligned. Upon replacing the bearing, Honest1 had to do a full alignment. Furthermore, the right rear wheel couldn't be fully aligned because the adjustment bolt was seized to the arm bushing. The cherry on top and final dot to connect was that when I picked up my car from Tires Plus, their printer "supposedly" had stopped working and couldn't print of my final alignment measurements. How convenient. But I was assured they were aligned. Absolutely, without question, they took my money for a service they never performed. And boldly lied to my face about it. I did make an appointment on their website tool so I was expected. The staff was fast, and attentive and made sure I knew what they did and why. But they made an error. As I started to drive off I could hear a clicking sound that got faster as I sped up like having a playing card on your bike spokes as a kid. And I knew exactly what it was, the tire balance weights were hitting the brake rotors. There was no way to hear it at 2-3 MPH when pulling in and out of a bay. I had not left the shopping center they are in, drove down to the next entrance, and started pulling back in. The young man who helped me ran out the door to see what was wrong and immediately heard the sound. He was quick to apologize and pulled me into an open bay. The manager came out to see what the fuss was and then he came and apologized to me as well. It was a minor fix, they missed that they (another Discount Tire location) had upgraded tires and wheels that were not the stock sizes and put on the stock weights for the original tires. They quickly pulled the tires, reinstalled the correct weights rebalanced the tires, and got me out fast. Other places would have pretended they didn't screw up or try to shift blame. They did not, they owned it, fixed it fast, and were humble and professional about getting me back on the road.

I called the Tire Discounters on Main Street in Hamilton before coming here. I advise calling any place before showing up. There are times that are better than others and not all locations offer all services, though this location seemed, to me, to do everything. They saw me about three hours after I called. I won't woo you with how lovely it was inside. Really, it's a tire place. While I waited, a mechanic came out with an older woman's key and told her whatever he did was no charge. She seemed shocked and I was, too. Everything costs, right? I don't know what he did but that was a good impression on me right away. My car charger bit they quickly explained was my own fault (though in a much nicer way). Chargers aren't all the same voltage. I didn't know that. I just needed a higher voltage charger. No charge to just be told that. The air conditioning... Bummer. The mechanic spent a very long time on it. Calibrating, doing car things I don't understand, really. But they took me in the back and showed me the parts that would need to be replaced. Hoses, the actual unit and explained the best case scenario and likely worst case scenario. My air conditioning man actually said, "I'm a windows down man, myself." Think I might be, too. All that time with the air conditioning? No charge. The tires, I was charged for. I don't know anything about them, so, honestly, I didn't really haggle or anything. I asked what they thought was best. I knew I didn't need anything in the top tier, so if they would have said that I would have called it. But they didn't. The girl said what she thought was best and I called it a winner. I was there a couple hours but they did A LOT for me. At the end, one of the mechanics told me I'd need new bearings on my car soon. I asked how long I had. Of course they can't actually tell you because of liability, I'm sure, but I think I have a vague idea how long I have to save up some more cash. Worst case scenario? One of my tires goes flying off my car. He said to try to get it done before that happens. I'm going to do my best.
