Never really do what you asked, they do what they feel most comfortable with, not the first time been there but most definitely the last, everyone is nice but quality is lacked, requested something and got ripped off, for the price the minimum they should do is listen to you and do what you asked, there is zero communication between barber and customer. read more

First time in the shop. It's always nerve wracking going to a barber you do not know for the first time. My barbers name was Jean. I asked for a skin fade blow-out with a shape up for my beard. I was blown away by the quality. He was very nice and the price was only 30 bucks! I'm a huge advocate for local businesses. I think there's way to many monopolies out there so I like to give little hole in the wall places like this a shot. Big mistake. It's a shame cause some of the gentlemen seem nice but the guy I got was all the way in the back by the bathrooms. He needs help. Gave me a clear pic a reference and told him a slight modification. Apparently that was enough to through him completely off. I noticed throughout the haircut he's would buzz the same spot even tho it can't go any shorter with the clippers he had on. So he would just be cutting the same spot over and over again. What I asked for wasn't anything out of this world but cutting for close to an hour is to much. My usual spot would had done it in 30 minutes max. Anyways, after the haircuts I just made an honest comment. It's not what I wanted but he should "keep practicing more". This was enough to completely derail him. He got extremely offended and said he's been cutting for a year ( I can tell ). Started acting super unprofessional. Than when I got tired of hearing it I said how much and he said $30! But the guy in the front said it was $25. So when I confronted him on it. He just kept saying " why do you ask if you know. You come here all the time " it was my first time there and I was just making sure. Which is what he should had done when he wasn't sure what to do with my hair. It's a shame the other fellas seem cool but because of this older guy they put in the back it brought them down to 1 star. Get better guy, and learn how to take constructive criticism. read more

My oldest son (18 years old) really liked Prestige and they did a great job. We did have to wait about 10 minutes after our appointment time but the cut was so good, that did not matter too much. We will see how my youngest son (14) likes it. He generally does not like getting his hair trimmed so his opinion will be interesting. So my youngest had his hair cut yesterday afternoon and the stylist did not listen to either of us on what we wanted. Short around the bottom and longer at the top. His bangs are like a half inch now. I am not happy at all. If you ask what we want, then do that. If you want to do what you want, DO NOT ask! I am so glad we do not have family pictures planned. Came into Prestige a few hours before leaving on a cruise. Ricardo took me right away and got to work on making me look less homeless. I'd say Prestige is nicer than your average barber shop. Everything was clean and looked to be very well taken care of. The price was great also. I usually get my hair cut and my beard trimmed which can cost a fortune at some places. I'd say my favorite part about my experience at Prestige was the atmosphere. For the majority of the time I was there, the barbers and a few customers took part in a heated debate about who the best shooter in the NBA was. It gave the barber shop that sort of old school feeling which isn't present in a lot of barber shops around here. They all apologized to me at the end for getting into it. Im pretty sure they thought they scared me off but I assured them it contributed to my experience and that I would be back. I just made my next appointment. read more

I'm from St Louis, and I was already planning to visit Orlando and when I heard about Prestige Barbershop I decided to wait. It was well worth the wait. Joey is an amazing hair master. It is very difficult to find a hair dresser. At one point I thought Joey was painting a paint because he really cares about his work. I went once and had a decent experience with Ricardo. Upon wanting to go back, I made an appointment for 445, walked in and wasn't seen when I walked out the door at 530. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and came back. I texted Ricardo for an appointment at 430 4 days in advance. I then texted him prior to my appointment to which he told me he could fit me in at 630. I'm not one to make judgments on one experience but when it happens multiple times then it's a problem. They were overall cheap but horrible customer service and scheduling. Don't waste your time unless you've got 2-3 hours to waste getting a haircut read more
