There are better car washes for cheaper. This place is old, poorly maintained, and overpriced compared to other places that are much more up to date. Last time i was there i nearly had to drive over a pile of old wood and stone just to get into an open bay. Recommend going elsewhere read more

The guy was really nice and super helpful. I had an issue with my membership, and he took the time to explain everything and help me fix it. It would be a service to Melrose for this location to close. The facilities are run down. The service is terrible for the auto car wash. I stopped in recently after full-service hours for a quick wash in one of the self-service bays. I thought using ApplePay was easier than using bills or quarters. It looked like I was paying for $6 worth of time. When the timer ran out, I left. If you don't see the sign that says you have to push some button to stop the wash (even though the timer expired), you'll be charged the maximum amount of $25. Ridiculous. The conveyor car wash malfunctioned and pushed my car into the car in front of me. Yes, as in my bumper-to-bumper contract. They had to stop the car wash to move us apart. It was a bit terrifying since you really can't see when you're in the car wash given all the suds, flashing lights; and cleaning contraptions. And no, there were no apologies, no money-back, no acknowledgment that it even happened. 13 minutes ago Went to the prestige self serve car wash in north reading yesterday. It is six dollars for the base wash. I did not have a five on me so I used my debit card and did my wash. Everything went fine and the counter clicked down from six minutes and shut off the service when time ran out. I left and had zero issues until today when I happened to check my bank account only to find out they charged my $25.00. I drove up there and talked to the manager and he just laughed and said it happens all the time and I did not read the small sign. If after you are finished and the time had run out you need to push the stop button or you get charged some kind of penalty I guess. I got burned and he would not return the overcharge. I never saw this bs sign and where do they get off doing something like this. If they did it to me they are doing it to a lot of people. The automated car wash doesn't clean the back of my car. This wasn't an issue when the attendant cleaned it with a wet brush, but they no longer do it since COVID hit in 2020. I called the Prestige office to ask why. I was told they've instructed the attendants not to use the brush, she provided no reason when asked why, and denied my request to begin using the brush again. So the back of my car will remain dirty unless I get out of the car and wipe it despite my monthly $20 fee. I'd go elsewhere if they weren't the only game in town. This place took over what was previously Randy's Car Wash in Melrose and somehow made it even worse, while simultaneously jacking the prices by about 50% for every service level. The water pressure seems to be weaker and not enough to completely rinse the car, and the dryer air pressure is so low that the vent was scraping along the roof of my car (a sedan, not even an SUV/minivan). Bottom line is when I left the car wash, there were soap suds on many surfaces, the car was still pretty wet, and I was worried that there would be scratches on the roof (fortunately, I didn't see any). read more

I love the Medford Prestige location, very reliable. But I think this Melrose location is on the brink of going out of business and I don't think location has anything to do with the lack of customer volume. All the self service wash bays are "broken" according to Rico Suave over there directing cars into the automatic wash bay. Someone should buy this out, a good business man could easily invest a little money back into this place and make it profitable again. I'd be willing to if the price was right. read more

Horrible. The attendant was unhelpful, inpatient, and disrespectful. I had never gone through the Melrose location and for convenience sake I tried it. Had just purchased the monthly membership earlier today and the attendant asked if this was a one time wash. I explained that, no I now am a member..before I could finish, he raised his voice and said that I would need a sticker. I asked, can you help me with the sticker​? Reluctantly, he placed the sticker on my windshield. I have no idea what I did wrong. Also, I wasn't sure if I was on the rails correctly. He didn't say anything, so I assumed I was fine. I was told to put my car in neutral, which I did, but I realized at that point that no, my driver's side needed to be adjusted, now he's loudly knocking my window yelling at me to go back to neutral. Now I'm nervous because he's getting visibly upset. I put my window down and tried to explain what was happening, instead he cursed at me in Spanish. I said excuse me? I understand Spanish, don't disrespect me. Finally, somehow I was on my way and couldn't wait to get out. If I could give less than one star than I would. This place has free vacuums but they're pointless because the suction is so weak. The actual car wash barely works. Some of the spinning machines don't even spin, and my car look even worse. The dryer doesn't dry any of the water so then you have a bunch of soap stains all over your car, and as you exit there's a sign that says for best results hand dry with towel for best results; no thank you during the winter. read more

If your looking for a place to throw $15-31 into a dumpster fire or would like to do this re-ocurringly for $20 this is your place. If I could go lower on this rating I would. The wash did not clean my car at all, I had 5 recent spots where dirt or bird poop collected, after I ran through the wash all 5 spots were still there and not even faded. Worst car wash I have ever experienced in my life and I BOUGHT THE EXPENSIVE PACKAGE....I wish there was a way I could argue for this place to shut down so they won't swindle anyone else. read more

First off - it's been one week since my first attempt at going there. I say attempt because the car wash broke before I entered it. Someone was actually stuck in the car wash... I sat there for 20 minutes to be acknowledged as well- (I was at the entry point, paid already, but wasn't sure if I could back up safely - the rollers were on my car).... The teenager cashier and the only one working (NOT WEARING A MASK CORRECTLY), could not give a refund to my credit card and told me to drive about 20 minutes away to Medford for my wash or call 508-444-2425 for a refund. A few things....The business should be demolished, rebuilt with state of the art working bays. It is hit or miss if water will actually come out. Last, the owner did not shovel the bays, I opened my door and there was 5" of snow and slush on both sides of car that will turn to ice. Someone will fall and will sue for sure!.......Also they don't answer the phone. Don't get why Melrose was rated a great place to live. One grocery store, one car wash that is falling apart and bumper to bumper traffic! I just thought I'd add that. read more
