I live in North Andover, so I don't really live close to this business. But I was close by today and was intrigued by the $5 Car Wash & free Vacuum signs during my many trips down Route 1, so I gave it a try. It's kind of confusing finding out where to go, after pulling off of busy Route 1. I pulled up to the towel man and he directed me to the rear of the building and I went into the wash and asked for the Basic - $5 wash. He took my credit card, gave it back to me and mopped down my car with some sudsy stuff. I usually go to Haffners near my house and they usually do more mopping prior to the wash, but my car wasn't that dirty today. I'm not sure if they're more diligent during the slushy winter season. The equipment looks similar to Haffners - nice touch - at the end is a sign telling you to put your car back in drive when you reach the sign. Next, either left to the vacuums or right to the towel man (per the sign posted) So I went over to the free "turbo" vacuums. Wow - best vacuum set up there are outside "bays" many of them. When you pull in there is a trash receptacle and a place to clamp a placemat on to vacuum. There us a sign with a reminder that the free vacs are for car wash customers and that any music being played should be at a respectful volume (probably a nod to previous reviewers). There are two hoses available on either side of the car - very nice. I went to grab a hose and found that the vacuums are on all of the time and are so strong that you have to forcibly pull the nozzle from it's holster. I hung my mats on the placard for a vacuum and then used the vacuum on the car interior. Nice powerful vacuum. I wish this car wash was closer to me. read more

I only use this car wash; I never go anywhere else unless it's an emergency. Free and abundant vacuuming bays. $6 basic machine washes. For those who don't worship their cars but just keep them basically clean -- it's a perfect value! read more

Love this place located in route one. They have free self vacuums that work great. I have a dog that sheds and the vacuum gets all the fur out. They also have many vacuums, i'd say 8 or more. The usual car wash around here has 2 vacuums that you have to pay for. They also have self -car washing stations where you can wash your own car with their materials or they offer regular exterior wash starting at $6 which is what i usually go for. Before finding this place i was paying a $70 membership for other people to wash my car, and then i canceled the membership and would pay $13 for a wash and no vacuum and now i get to clean my car for just $6 and spend some alone time vacuuming my car :) read more

This is a great Place! I actually used the "do it your self"bay last week and inadvertently must have forgot to press stop after my 4 minutes! Last week I came to wash my car and I paid for Bronze wash and after wash I realized that my car is still not clean! I talked to employe and he was so rude and keep saying " I know my job and don not explain to me what should I do!!!!" He charged my credit card more than the price on the carwash menu!!! This is the worst car wash i have ever gone to. The equipment damaged my wheels and the Manager immediately denied any responsibility for the damage. I love this place, they have free vacuums, power washer bays and you can buy armor all, scented trees or rags all for a dollar. I do the monthly unlimited platinum wash for forty dollars and it's a great value. The people there are always nice and the owner even helped me get keys out of my car that I locked in there! I just went to the car wash that I frequent possibly every two weeks but gentleman working there approached my car because I was putting trash in the receptacle container, while I was vacuuming my car. I like to neat in my car so I always keep a white small kitchen bag in the car to throw away any trash the bag possibly had six water bottles in it and some candy wrappers for my kids the man was quite irate and intense I have no idea where his anger was coming from but it certainly has nothing to do with me He told me I couldn't dispose of the white bag there I said would you like me to take the items out of the white bag and put them in the container and he said no you need to leave I asked him for his name and he told me my name is staff read more

The first time I came here, I thought this place was OK. The vacuums were nice and strong, and the price for the car wash was competitive. The 2nd time, I had a horrible experience. I was waiting for several minutes for a vacuum, right behind one other car. The car in front of me finally got a spot to vacuum, and another spot was opening up for me to pull into. Suddenly I had 2 different employees screaming for me to pull up, over and over again. I only saw one car behind me as I was checking my rearview mirror. As with another reviewer, I have discovered that this place is staffed with employees who have extremely poor interpersonal skills. Do yourself a favor, if you have any self-respect, avoid being denigrated by discourteous employees. There are plenty of other options. read more

Just went through this carwash, and it literally took 12 seconds, I bought the $22 wash, which none of the "extras" I paid extra for were actually performed. When I got out of the wash, there was soap on my back window. Horrible!!! Never again. read more

Very Good car wash never any problems my truck looks awesome and you can't be the price

After running some early Saturday morning hours I stopped to vacuum and get my car washed. I have never used the free vacuum before as I vacuum at home. I however visit this car wash quite frequently as I live nearby. I also refill my propane tanks as well. I decided to use the vacuum and it wasn't running and asked how it works. I asked not one but both employees that were emptying trash how to operate the vacuum and both very rudely told me to read the sign. TWICE! It wasn't until I saw the sign further over that the vacuums didn't operate until 8AM, I was there at 7:50am. All they had to say was they don't start until 8. After complaining about the way they spoke to me they told me to leave! READ THE SIGN ..Really? I will now give my money to either of the 2 other car washes on Rt One instead. Very Rude! read more

I live in Boston and happen to be driving north one day and decided to take my Mercedes for a car wash. This has to be the worst place I have ever been to. Extremely rude staff, one started yelling at me because I took more than one second to put in neutral and no one was behind me, and I bought the most expensive car wash and it didn't clean anything. I should've just reversed and left but he had already charged me for the car wash. These clowns don't understand that they need my business and I am not dying for a car wash because I get free car washes at the dealership. read more

Outdated equipment, conveyor moves you through the tunnel way to fast, the wraps spin at a high rate of speed basically beating your car to death, water spots all over the place, and when I got home, I noticed it didn't even clean the back of my car all the way. I'm sorry, just... no. I went once, but never again. The place is swarming with people, and it seemed like there was a "loudest car and sound system" competition going on between some of them. But you go to a do-it-yourself car wash to get your car clean, right? It won't happen here. The joints on the ceiling that connect to the hose aren't tight, so nasty water/soap/wax/whatever is constantly dripping on your roof as you wash your car -- even when you're done. I also seem to recall that some of the settings (e.g. "wax" or "soap") would sputter, requiring you to waste precious washing time, or not work at all. Luckily I moved away from the area, because I never did find a satisfactory do-it-yourself wash around there. read more

I used to love popping in here, use the free vacuums and get a quick wash on the way to work. I will never EVER return here again. Last time I went through the car wash I with a sleeping 20 month old and a 4 year old who was so excited for it. I pay, put my truck (Yukon Denali) in N, and my wash starts. My boy and I are talking about all the things happening and suddenly my truck accelerated and smash right into the car in front of me. It was shocking to say the least. We get out and pull over and the woman is very distraught, saying she's in pain and calls the cops. I asked for the owner. He came out and was so rude, telling me I must have put my car in drive and stepped on the gas! Ummm, no! He then continues to tell me he has state of the art camera system that can zoom in and see. So I kindle asked if we could look at them to see what happened then? He got mad and refused saying he was way to busy for this stuff and to call my insurance company! The woman filed a LAWSUIT and tried to sue me!! Thankfully she lost, but I got points on my insurance for this, something I was 100% not responsible for! I will use their free vacuum but not give them a penny!! The owner is VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!! After reading more reviews I'm glad to see that I'm not alone and others see how rude and unprofessional their staff is!! read more

This review is for the self-serve side of the car wash only The water pressure/volume is completely inadequate for washing a car, especially when they charge you by the minute. The soap dispenser on the other hand creates LOADS of soap...and if I was cynical would suspect that the excess soap is intentional, as it requires you to rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse to get it all off. Soap is obviously less expensive than water. It appears that the volume of the water is set very low; I'd describe it just above the level of mist, high pressure mist. No kidding. This is in comparison to pretty much every other self-serve wash I have ever used. This could be one of the reasons why it says "No bucket washing" As the system would be hard pressed to fill a bucket with water. Perhaps it was broken? Sure, I tried multiple bays in the course of two weeks and ran the hose for 20 minutes for $8... The outside temperature was above freezing and relevant to that, many car washes also heat their water somewhat...this did not appear to be the case here, contributing to the problem. I'd pay $20 for 5 min if they actually turned up the water volume and pressure. It is ironic that they warn customers not to wash snow off their cars in the bay, as their equipment wouldn't do it anyway. On the plus side, the equipment that takes your money is in 100% working order, as obviously it is operationally checked, on a daily basis. read more

Finally, a reasonable car wash on the North Shore. $5 for a basic wash, every day, and they prep and towell wipe after, and free vacuums. Can't beat it in the area. Now, at least, I don't have to go down to Revere to not get ripped off. The rest of the thieves around here charge ridiculous prices read more

if i could rate this a negative i would! i get home from after getting me 2019 cadillac escalade washed and the whole drivers side is all scratched and paint is missing. my whole tire and rim is discolored! will never ever again give them a dime! but will gladly use their money! there vacuumes!! read more

Terrible place. Equipment is old and cruddy and falling apart. Vacuums - half of the vacuums were missing the end piece (actually they were laying around on the ground). The vacuum I ended up using had the end piece pop off while in use so I had to spend a few minutes fixing it while the timer wore down. I did not use the self cleaning bays but went thru the automated part. My car has definitely come out cleaner in other car washes. Seemed like very little soap was applied. The place just seems just run-down overall and not worth it. read more

Less than satisfied with the service. The manager was harassing me as I was cleaning my car and kept on telling me to leave. He asked me to stop using the spray on my carpets which I did and then continued to send people to harass me throughout my car cleaning experience. When I was getting ready to leave I was in my car and pulled out one cloth to wipe down my front window inside of the car. The manager approached my window. When I rolled it down to respectfully tell him that I was leaving he stuck his hands in my window and started screaming at me to get off the property because I was detailing my car and he told me not too. I told him that I was leaving and he then stood in front of my car and continued to yell at me to leave and not to come back. While still standing in front of my car. He then started screaming at me to get the f*** off of his property and followed my car as I was pulling out of the space. If I could review this place a 0 I would. read more

Honestly,this place sucks. I've been here twice and both times they were extremely rude for absolutely no reason whatsoever. The first man to come up told us to stop using what we were using to clean the carpets so we did. The next person to come over was very negative and claimed it was not the first time that the people that I was with and I had done something and that we were being non compliant when we had done what the first man had told us to. The man left and came back with someone I assume to be the manager or possible owner who was again,very rude and disrespectful when talking to me and the two people I was with. As we finished up and got into the car the man that had previously been there yelling came back and continued to yell at us to go and leave his property. He was screaming and swearing and even stuck his head through the window. While we were trying to leave, he continued following the car trying to get the license plate number even though we were obviously trying to leave. He continued screaming and swearing until we were gone. I don't think I've ever been more disgusted with the amount of attitude and rudeness we have gotten from the staff. If I could , I would not even give this place one star. I would give it no stars. Possibly even less. read more
