Since it was, she explained their process and type of product they use. I prob had 10 items and they were able to get it back to me 4 or 5 days. It was late afternoon Thursday that I found out I needed to have a dress blouse dry cleaned ( it had a spot ) and pressed by Saturday afternoon. At the last minute I had been asked to read at a funeral. The blouse was the only suitable for a funeral colored blouse I had. I went to the dry cleaners I had used a few times. After listening to my explanation, he pushed my blouse back to me and said they couldn't do it in that timeframe. I then went to Prestige Cleaners. I'd never been there before. The wonderfully kind person behind the counter said they'd be happy to put a rush on it. She added that it would be ready on Friday afternoon. It was. Prestige Cleaners is a gem. Let's put it this way... I moved to Newberg from Tualatin and I still take my dry cleaning here. I have been their customer for at least 7 years. Their pricing is very affordable. Around $3 for most standard items. Dresses and jackets are more. The only downfall? They do not have a tailor on site, I am petite and need all of my pants and jeans hemmed. They have the option for alterations but I prefer to have an expert do my pinning on site. I brought my white comforter here after I noticed some black dye transfer from my pillowcase. They were able to completely get out one of the spots and the other is definitely way less noticeable! I took a Wilson Leather jacket in to be cleaned because the inside linner was worn and needed cleaning. When I dropped of the jack I explained clearly that i would the the inside jacket cleaned. Upon picking up my jacket I asked to view it to ensure it was properly cleaned. The cashier said No, and that I would have to pay before seeing my item. I then paid for the jacket ($60) and I found that it was still in the same condition as when I dropped it off. When I asked for a refund they informed me I would have to call my bank to dispute the transaction. I was disappointed that there was not better service and wish I had gone elsewhere. I would not recommend pristige cleaners and would go elsewhere. read more

I took a New, off white wool blanket in that had been stained with pink silly putty. The owner was very honest and told me that she could not guarantee they could get the stains out, but they would try. So many cleaners just get business because they are close by, it seems that it's almost impossible to find somewhere like Prestige that takes pride in the quality of their work, and the importance of their customer service. I was frustrated with my local cleaners and went on Yelp to find somewhere with a solid rating to try getting my clothes better care. Prestige was further than I was wanting to go from my house (I live in Bull Mountain), but I decided to give it a try. They provided excellent customer service at both my drop-off and pickup, and they gave my clothes the extra attention that made them turn out great - even with some special care requests! Reasonably priced, my clothes were clean and didn't have any strange odors to them after I got them back (if the chemicals are reused, which many places do to save money, it leaves an odor on the clothes). I wish their hours were longer since I barely make it there, but I'm glad they're open on Saturday. The only thing I didn't like was pre-paying. I dislike pre-paying for a service when you have no idea how good of a job they will do. Because if something goes wrong, you've already paid and they could just blow you off. Lastly, don't use the tailoring service. VERY expensive. I went to see how much it'd cost to get my pants hemmed. I was a bit shocked to hear it would cost me $24. read more

The service I received at Prestige was so great, I immediately wanted to write a review. I brought in a stained peacoat that I needed dry cleaned for a last-minute trip to Chicago. I brought it to Prestige knowing that they'd probably need more time to clean it than I had allowed. Instead of turning me down, they promised they'd make my peacoat presentable in just a few hours, by cleaning the stain by hand. True to their word, it was ready just 3 hours later, perfectly clean and trip-ready! In addition, they fixed a couple loose buttons without asking or charging. Did I mention they charged only $15? I've been going to this dry cleaning business for years and was satisfied by their quick turn-around time and satisfactory service. I believe they now have new ownership and I fear the worst. I recently took a brand new shirt in for cleaning after wearing it for the first time and the shirt came back ruined. The fabric was pulled, bunched, and had holes in it as though it had been caught on something. I did not bring it in in this state. They failed to bring the damage to my attention, but I noticed as soon as I pulled it out of the bag at home. I brought the shirt back and it took three in-person visits and two telephone calls to even get a response. They let me have my shirt back and offered a paltry sum in credit. I spilled a mocha latte on a 100% silk dress on a Saturday evening, then created water spots trying to prevent the stain from setting since no dry cleaners were open until Monday. I did extensive research and Prestige had the best reviews of all the cleaners in the greater Portland area. I took it in and he said he'd get to work on it right away. Two days later the dress looked flawless--I couldn't even find where the stains had been. Then my cat vomited (bright orange) all over my Vera Wang duvet cover and king size duvet cover. Again they got the stain out and the duvet+comforter look as good as new. I have since taken a number of women's shirts and men's dress shirts and pants in and they have all come out great. Their prices are outstanding and the entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Additional perks IMO: staff all speaks perfect English, they use eco-friendly methods, and have an up-to-date and informative website. Bottom line: take your cleaning here. I am quite picky about my dry cleaners. Overall not great dry cleaners in Lake Oswego, but I think that Prestige cleaners probably do the best job. I would give them 4 stars, but on several occasions they have wrote my surname on my dress shirts with a laundry marker -- without my permission.
