That's a very specific claim. Anyways I took it to National Automotive down the road and actually got taken care of. It was the sway link bar. No issues with the housing of the strut or shock assemblies. The car drives like a dream now, no thanks to Japanese Auto Pros. Saved a few thousand dollars by not taking their word at face value. The funny thing is I might have trusted them if they treated me with more respect. One of their workers (presumably a manager) told me they don't have time to call my warranty company for me and started playing the world's smallest violin for completely avoidable staffing issues. So as the customer I had to deal with that all myself (whatever, but it's not standard). Long story short, y'all are weird. Also, lose my number and stop spam texting me please.

Dashcam footage explicitly shows the vehicle running perfectly fine that morning while it was at another shop receiving an estimate. It was dropped off at North Mountain Auto two hours later. On 04/13/2026, the vehicle was pulled into their bay exhibiting no problems, yet it exhibited severe running issues immediately after their "repair." The vehicle was subsequently removed to a neutral third-party shop via a recorded and documented chain of custody on 04/27/2026, ensuring no claims of tampering could be made. Independent diagnostics have since confirmed catastrophic engine failure, including air passing through the piston rings and a 25% leakage around the exhaust valve on Cylinder 5. Far more concerning than the mechanical destruction is the actively documented fraud and attempted cover-up. Forensic dashcam video and telemetry data captured the shop engaging in billing fraud by charging for one type of product (Asian vehicle blue coolant) while explicitly using another. Furthermore, on 04/20/2026, approximately an hour before I arrived to pick up the vehicle, the mechanic is recorded stating to the front desk that he had already lost two days the prior week and five hours that current day on the car and was "done." Twenty minutes later, footage shows them manually overriding factory settings via the base idle set screw (BISS) in a deliberate attempt to hide over 30 documented engine stalls and doctor the vehicle just enough to collect payment. This override occurred on four separate occasions. Additionally, the intake plenum was removed. There is absolutely no reason for its removal during a water pump replacement other than assessing internal damage; it provides no extra room or access and is 100% unnecessary. Both the mechanic and the shop stated they hadn't "worked in that area," claiming the damaged wires and broken clips had nothing to do with their work, which the visual evidence explicitly contradicts. When the shop realized my dashcams automatically trigger upon movement or when the key is turned, they attempted to format the memory cards twice while the car was sitting in their bay: once on April 15th, and again after hours following a "stealth" repair on 04/22/2026. This constitutes direct spoliation of evidence to cover up their actions. When I reached out via text message, they immediately denied warranty coverage, blamed the car, and then blamed me. However, until this week, they had no knowledge that the dashcam footage was NOT actually deleted. If you're going to perform such acts, you may want to research the specific dashcam to know how to format it. Just saying. I have retained a 236GB forensic data drive documenting every action taken in their bay. Now that every legal and regulatory action has been filed and is underway, I am leaving my experience here to help prevent others from suffering the same fate. Do not trust this shop with your property. Billed $2282.49 for them to destroy the drivetrain.

They were mindful of the time I was working with to get it checked out (had to get my son from school that same day) and had it fixed in that time too. It cost the same for the fix as other places were charging just to diagnose the issue. I could tell immediately when I called that this was where I wanted to go because when I said the ac wasn't working, this was the first place to ask for context of what was going on. The other places I spoke to told me their (expensive) fee to diagnose. When I brought it in they offered a complimentary Lyft ride so I could wait at home. They texted me the repair details so I could approve it and then was able to come back just in time to get my son from school! I am so impressed at their kindness, honesty, process, and customer service! I rarely leave reviews but made a point to write this because they deserve it!

The situation with my Ford F150 began when it was first towed to Lee's on October 27, 2025. As of today, it still isn't running. I had gotten it back twice before. Ty had assured me both times that it would be good to go. Welp, this is the third time it stalled on me out in public. First time was in the Starbucks drive thru (yeah, fun). Second time was northbound on 19th Ave, but I was able to coast into a parking lot at a Brazilian Ju Jitsu place. This time? In the left turn lane near my house. Yeah, left turn lane with a green arrow and people behind me honking to go. (It took me a sec to activate the hazards, but the light in front of me was already green to turn). I had confidence each time he gave it back to me. I kept having it towed to Lee's. First time I got it back was after $2700+ in repairs. Second time he said it was just loose/old wiring that had to be fixed (didn't charge me for that). Third time he said my gas gauge was broken so even though it was reading quarter tank, it was actually empty. I'm not sure that was the case as I actually just put enough gas in the tank to move the gauge up the day before it stalled. Gauge had gone up to 3/4 tank. *sigh* I wanted to like them after they did so good with my first car. I don't think I'll be back here anymore. I have the truck with a different mechanic now (he is a mobile mechanic). Fingers crossed this new mechanic works out better. Each time the F150 was dropped off with Ty, he averaged 2-3 weeks with it. This very last time was 1 month + 1 day. Good thing it is my secondary vehicle.

We paid a lot of money for what we thought would be a new engine and when we got it back three weeks later it was just our engine rebuilt but not well. The check engine light was still on and when we went to do our first oil change we found the engine has been mounted oddly so we could no longer use the recommended filter size. Additionally we also found that the vacuum lines weren't connected and laying on the exhaust manifold under the leaking valve cover manifold. The radiator hose was on an antique plastic garden hose shut off (which was broken and leaking) and the plastic tubing had vise grip hose clamps. The exhaust manifold only had one bolt in it and it wasn't even tightened all the way. There were additional leaks that caused a small engine fire with melted wire sheathing. For the money and the time we should have just bought a new vehicle or did the repairs in a parking lot somewhere. So if you want to get ripped off and screwed over hit this place up. But remember to save some money for the post repair repairs. I'll be over here pushing my vehicle off the road and crying over the craptastic services I received.

Finding the Alauria family repair shop, the "Servants of Sunnyslope Rising" , quality repairs, three year, 36,000 mile warranties, made us permanent customers. Three more family vehicles get serviced here now. Proper inspectiond and troubleshooting, no rookie mistakes. Follow up as needed, Pricing appropriate for this level of service. And my life savings are not getting paid out to a global shareholder pool.

These charges aren't itemized as a "shop supply fee" or anything specific -- they just appear as a flat fee, and they're not disclosed anywhere in the initial quote. Most shops I've dealt with cap this type of fee around $50, but I was charged $90 on one occasion. Not listing this upfront feels misleading, and I think it's something customers should be made aware of before authorizing work. That said, trust in the actual mechanical work matters a lot to me, and this shop has earned that trust.
