The baldy-headed "boss" here seems to believe that he is a god and can control people's wallets at will. I had my 2011 Elantra towed in here because it wouldn't start after replacing the battery and needed a simple reprogramming. Everything else was working fine. He charged me $1,400 just to get it started - but wait, there's more! - when I went to pick it up, the driver's side window was suddenly off its track and wouldn't go up or down. But why? Did my new battery somehow throw my window off its track? He told me to leave it there, but it would cost me another $450 to fix! I balked that the damage occurred while it was in his care, but he dismissed me. I left it there, only to return to get it and find that the horn suddenly doesn't work now! Of course, when asked about it, he said that would cost me an additional $560 for a new horn relay (wtf went wrong with the OLD relay? It was working fine before I brought it in). Refusing to get bamboozled a 3rd time, I fled with my car after giving this crook a total of $1,850 to "repair" a car that had nothing wrong with it. I have since heard numerous horror stories about this dealership, mostly from women who have routinely gotten bullied and overcharged by this Svengali shyster. Never had particularly good experiences with this dealership, including the salesperson I bought my car from no call/no showing on the day he agreed to pick me up from a rental company, abandoning me there for 45 minutes, but today's service appointment prompted me to write a review. Firstly, the location for Hyundai's service was changed to the building next door, and no mention is made of that when scheduling an appointment, so you go to the normal location and are made to seem a fool and are told to go elsewhere. Fine I suppose, just a waste of time and patience. I came in for an oil change, and I learned that one of my lug nuts could be put back on my tyre and thus had to be replaced. Okay, that happens. 87 dollars?!?!? Why was my lug nut taken off for an oil change? Oh, so they could check my brakes. Not what I was here for. Needless to say, I'll be going elsewhere for service from now on. You're insane if you think I'd give this business another dollar for anything, be it a lug nut or a new vehicle. Untrustworthy lying used car salesman (read until the end). I went there to check out a used car I had seen online. Made an appointment (easy). Changed the appointment last minute due to work (equally as easy). Once there, they got me in the car and i took it for a test-drive. There were no high-pressure tactics by the salesman. There were some issues with the car (rear camera not working, tires that were on the edge, and dodgy brakes) that I was told would cost about $3k to do and they would only do them if i wanted the vehicle. I was early in my search, but i really liked it, so i said yeah, I'll take it. Radio silence for the better part of 3 weeks and then I get a call that the vehicle is ready if i still want it, which I did, but in the meantime, the price has dropped twice on cargurus, the site where i originally saw the vehicle listed. When i tell my salesman that, he says cargurus is scambaiting people, and tons of dealers are suing them for false prices and that they've already offered me the best price they can. HOWEVER, the current price online is about $900 cheaper. After investigating it on my own, i discovered that not only does cargurus NOT set prices, but that Prestige actually paid money to have their vehicle come up on top as Sponsored. If you as a dealer care so little that you would tell such an easily disprovable lie, what other lies are you telling your customers? So now I'm left without a vehicle, and I'm the market for one AGAIN, thanks to Prestige. PS out of dozens of businesses I've rated around the world, never before have i rated a business 5 stars only to drop it to 1 star a few weeks later. I am so angry and hot! I went in for a scheduled oil change and inspection. Gave them the car, 2 minutes later the service advisor Jeff came and told me my engine just seized in the shop!!! It was under warranty (2013 Hyundai Sonata Gls) bc the engine on these is so shitty they warranted them for life. Great! Well after the engine was replaced my a/c was running hot. It was always freezing cold. They know they broke the compressor taking the engine out but got extremely nasty when I told them it had been broken. The service manager was almost threatening in his refusal to take any responsibility saying "we are only responsible for completing the warranty repair and that's it!" Corporate put it back on the dealership and now I am driving with no a/c in Virginia and I have COPD. It's literally not safe for me to drive during the day and I am disabled so extremely poor. I don't know what to do bc I can't pay $1500 to fix and I can't live like this. I'm really struggling and it's not my fault in any way. I used to sing their praises but now I would never. I've sat on posting this review for a long while, as I have been doing my best to give the dealership the benefit of the doubt. Let me initially say that when I bought the car, it took quite some time for the dealership to get their ducks in a row - they sold me the car without title in hand, then realized they didn't have a second key so they needed to have one made (which they totally forgot to do). But the bulk of this review is regarding the service department. I bought a 2019 Elantra in November of last year and right off the lot I had issues with it - a noisy fan and, 2 weeks later, a creaking noise when turning the steering wheel. To the dealership's benefit, they got me in pretty quickly and did the repairs. Annoying, but it is what it is. Here I am, almost a year later, and both issues are persisting. I have brought the car in countless times - on more than one occasion, the dealership insisted that there was no noise, and when they did hear it, "that's just the way cars sound, and there's a reason they stopped making this body style". They had me go out in a similar style Elantra and insist that the noise was there (which it was not - I tried REALLY hard to hear it, too). They agreed to look at all components of the suspension after I brought it to another dealership who did not gaslight me and immediately heard the noise, identified it as a suspension issue, and advised to go back to the dealership I purchased it from so the work would be covered. When Prestige finally decided to really take a look, they replaced the struts. The noise went away for ~2 months, then came back. I again went back and said look, the issue clearly isn't fixed. They again said "this is how the car sounds, there's nothing wrong with it". The car creaks like crazy when turning, or when even hitting a bump. They replaced the struts again, citing that they found a defect on the first replacement. They said "this is the last work we will be doing on this car". Well, low and behold, a few months later yet again - the noise is back. They are not answering calls from Corporate about the problem. The noise is NOT normal. I'm in a situation now that I will need to pursue other avenues as a result to try to remedy this situation. I would strongly advise against considering buying any vehicles from this dealership - and don't for a second think your car being certified preowned is going to matter, because mine was, and it seems like they ran the clock out with what warranty I had left so I'm up the creek. Like another reviewer, I too provided video evidence of the noises my car has made - and I too was told "we can't replicate the noise, the car is fine". read more

Worst experience ever. The nightmare begin with my 2021 Hyundai Tucson only with 43,380 miles on it. On Monday, October 16 I brought my car in for a 1 PM appointment with the Service department. I made sure I had the video evidence of the noise m y car was making. Due to it not always making the noise after it was warm . I went into a very quiet office I spoke to a very nice young man and he help me to check in for my appointment. I told him I would like to show them a video of my car..( now just picture you're in a very quiet office surrounded about five or 10 different people. You only hear faint background noise of a TV for the waiting room.) I pulled up the video and made sure the sound is all the way up so there will be no trouble hearing the video. As soon as I played that video I hear comment in the background (that your car??? that's the noise it's making ???one individual said " the heart of your car is dying. "another individual that thing sounds like it's ready to blow up." After that then I was told to wait a few minutes and they have to talk a few people. Within the next 10 minutes, I was told I was going to be getting a rental car. They need to do some test to further figure out where the noise is coming from.I went home. The very next day I get a call from Jeff D they can't replicate the noise in my car and it is is OK to leave the shop there nothing wrong with it .I asked for them to explain why because obviously there is a noise and they need to keep the car to find out where it's coming from. He proceeds to man Splane to me how oil works and tell me that last week was cold. that it's normal for my car to make this type of noise. I stated well did you hear the video? I don't remember seeing you in the office . he then replies I don't need to see your video and I don't wanna hear your video. I will know what noise you were referring to and if it's normal, well now I am very angry and I say to him. what are you saying the other individuals that work with you are incompetent he says I'm not saying they're incompetent, but one guy works for Toyota and the another one is new. So I get very frustrated by what he tells me he then proceeds to tell me I can bring back the rental car. I told him I'm not driving back already Kingston around 5 o'clock to go bring the car back to you and then try to rush home. I told him I would bring it back the next day. So here comes Wednesday the 18th I get up in the morning first thing in the morning as soon as they open and I am there to pick up my car. Spoke to Jeff one more time in person and to be honest with you the attitude and negatively, and I felt like I was talk to like I was stupid and that everything with my car is perfectly normal. I collect my keys and I go find my car. I start my car and instantly I hear that noise that he says is normal I very frustrated and drive all the way to Beacon to go to another dealership for a second opinion Because I felt like I was ignored and treated like I didn't know like something was wrong. I brought it there with a few minutes. They say they can't replicate the noise and they have to keep it overnight to do further testing and see if they can re-create it tomorrow on the cold start in the morning after they said, if I didn't have a ride home, they can have a shuttle bring me home, so I agreed. I thought that was very nice of them considering they wouldn't give me a rental. the next day I call in the afternoon and I speak to my advisor. He states that I have a top engine knock and one of their machines confirmed it . He states that now they confirm the engine knock and they were going to put in for a whole engine replacement through the warranty but they have to wait to see if it's going to be approved . He told me he would follow back up later not too long later he called me saying that I was approved for a whole engine replacement, and that they will get me a rental car right away. something was seriously wrong with my engine the whole time Kingston just didn't take the time nor listen to the customer. The part that I am angry at the most is the way I was treated and talk to you at the Kingston dealership by this man name Jeff. I believe he is very rude and condescending. I feel that the way he talked to me was very rude and unprofessional. read more

service dept The upsell is downright deceptive and despicable. I own a 2018 Sonata, 71,000 miles I bought new at an out of town dealer. Every time I bring it in for oil change service I'm informed of "Critical " issues. This past time angered me enough to write a review. I was told by service rep Justin that the car needed front brakes ($555.), my "belts all needed replacement " ($295.) The belts "should really" be done today. Knowing the deceptive practices I took the car the next day for a second opinion. ( a NYS licensed shop). I was told that the front brakes have 70% life left ,and there is only one serpentine belt on that car, and it is in excellent condition. This service department late last year tried to convince me to do some type of fuel injection service AGAIN not realizing I already had it done at 45,000 miles! (Experts agree that service can be done with a fuel product from auto parts store every 40-80 thousand ). My anger stems from knowing that so many people especially older folks like me, and yes I am a woman, are being ripped off by this Service department. I will no longer bring my car there. At least one star because some If the staff are very nice. But other than that many deceptive practices. Including that Hyundai USA clearly says in their website that all new cars receive 36k or 3 years service whatever comes first. THIS place rewrites that and tells you you only get FOUR free services then you have to buy a plan from them. When I finally reported this to Hyundai USA they were appalled and said dealerships cannot make up their own rules. Until they investigate this dealership I now need to drive to fishkill Hyundai who DOES honor the proper warranty. I have at least one if not two more services coming and this crazy place won't honor. (Another deception: Most Hyundais need to be serviced every 6-7,500 miles. This place gives you a sticker for 5000 miles so you use up your services faster since they only give 4 of them. Greedy policies in every way . Praying Hyundai USA goes forward with contacting them! Avoid like the plague (and don't even ask about the chaos of initially buying my car from them. I love the Kona but it was worst most chaotic car buying experience in my life. Buyer beware! We purchased 3 vehicles from this dealership in an 8 month period. While in Potsdam, NY to visit our daughter my horn failed to work. On the 4 hour trip home Anne and I had a very close call because we had no defense against an idiot who almost took us out with a tractor trailer. I checked the fuse (good) so I go online and find 1000's of complaints with the same problem going back as far as 2005! WTF! Take it to the dealership this morning: 1. Sorry we have no Hyundai tech today. (Ah only Toyotas can have a problem on Mondays). 2. We don't have the part and won't be able to get to it for 34 or 4 days! 3. Rental car probably is not covered give us your credit card so we can put a hold on it while you have the Rental which is twice as expensive as the rental at enterprise. This may amaze the owners of this sucky dealership I have place to be and I wouldn't have purchased the vehicle if I didn't need it. Solution: I left after being told by the asshole service manager I had no right to be upset and yell at them! Are you kidding me! In between this and them selling a car that has had chrome issues (seven visits to correct), being told you get 3 years free service (yet at 1.5 years and 30,000 miles told we had used all of the free service (paperwork mentioned nothing about the mileage limit) and this BS I have no reason to be upset! Not to mention higher insurance rates because they didn't put an anti theft mechanism on the vehicle (easiest to steal in the world) but now they want to 100s of dollars to add). Don't do it if you are considering a purchase from them! Zero Customer Service. A few days after picking up my new car, I realized that a few items listed on the sticker were missing. I called the sales guy (Mike) a few times who never returned my call. After no reply, I reached out to the Sales Manager (Mark). He said that he would order the replacement items and have them shipped. 3 weeks passed and nothing was ever received. I called the manager multiple times and never received a call back. I also reached out to the receptionist (Amy) and explained everything all over again. I worked with James Connelly and he is a laid back, no pressure guy. No one appreciates that more than I do. If you pressure me, I will push back and not want to work with you (and probably your dealership) - I either like a car or I don't and pressuring me will just turn me off. What a great guy - easy test drive, no pressure to buy or not buy. Loved the whole experience - never thought I would say that about buying a car, which I usually HATE! He's patient and explains everything about the car (awesome when you're coming off a 27 year old car with no technology!). He's really patient when you "butt" dial him from the car repeatedly because you're a technological idiot lol. He even calls you back immediately to make sure you're ok. Find me a salesman who does THAT when he's already sold it! I would never choose anyone but him to help me and I would refer anyone to him. The first day I went to look, I had 3 cars in mind and it was cold and windy. He brought 2 of the cars around for me; it was so sweet. I got in the Tucson, immediately said I hated it. No problem for him, he put me in the Santa Fe and took us on the perfect test drive where I could get it up to speed. He also asked the perfect question - "What did you like about it?" I have never had a salesman ask me that and I thought it was amazing. EVERY sales person should ask this question. They should know what people like about a car and, of course, with that question they will find out what you DIDN'T like without asking. How incredibly smart! I can't say enough about him - go to him and you will never regret it. I am looking at my new car and loving it and I usually immediately regret buying one and hate the car. Horrible experience at dealership. I would give no star if I could. I had a scheduled test drive, only to be told the previous customer was going to purchase the car so I would not be able to test drive the car. I was fine with that and figured I would come back another day. So I asked Chris how I should schedule it in the future. Perhaps I should call rather than schedule on line- I just wanted to understand the best procedure. He snapped at me saying, "I don't appreciate the attitude ". I was just asking him to explain the process, and displayed no "attitude ". I'm old enough to be his mother and he was incredibly hostile and rude. He walked away and I mentioned, bewildered, to my husband, "can you believe said that to me?". We were both so stunned. Chris walked back to us and said, "I heard what you said and you don't have to look at a car. You can leave ". Then he refused to give me his name. On April 29 I sent my 2011 Hyundai Sonata to Kingston Prestige to figure out why my car wouldn't stay running. On around May 3rd I received a phone call from them stating that I needed a new motor. They told me Hyundai had to replace it. Ok that was fine it took awhile for them to get the new motor in. Now they have had the motor for 3 week as of today June 4 2024. I call every week and keep getting this run around that it will be next week. All I keep hearing every week is there is 5 cars ahead of mine. The number never goes down continuing to stay at 5 cars before they can get to my car. Now they did offer me a rental but I don't drive my daughter drives me back and forth to work every day. I have had such a hard time now getting from WEST Hurley to New Paltz every night. I just want my car fixed. My daughter spoke to mechanic Jeff today and asked for phone number of someone hire up than he was and was denied a name or phone number. He claimed to be highest manager and the owner would never speak with us. The rudeness of him was horrible. I feel like I'm being discriminated against me because I'm an older woman of 64 years old and my car is a recall job. My job has been wonderful of giving me a place to stay in there employee housing when i cannot get home which is most nights. Its been really hard not being able to sleep in my own home and is effecting my sleep in a very horrible way. I just want to be given an honest answer about when my vehicle will be in the shop and be completed. read more

I Had some tires mounted on 2/26/21 and expected to pay the advertised price on the wall. They added an additional $28 to the invoice and would not honor the advertised ad. I have tried contacting the owner several times thru e-mail and phone messages with no luck. Buyers beware with the BAIT and SWITCH tactics they use to upcharge customers. Worst experience ever, I would not recommend anyone dealing with this dealership. Very unprofessional. They straight out lie to you that a sales rep will call back. I called for the first time, and inquired about a new car that I was interested in. They said that I couldn't speak to anyone at the moment, and that a sales rep will call me back. When I asked when they would call me, they said - "today and tomorrow". I said ok, thank you. Several days later I see that no one had called me, so I call again, and politely say that I was supposed to receive a call from a sales rep, but haven't heard anything for several days. They asked me the same questions again, name, phone number, the car I was interested in etc. and they ensured me that they will make a note that this is urgent and someone would get back to me the same day. A week passed...no one had called me back. I called for the third time, and I told them that I called twice previously and provided all my info, and no one has ever reached back to me. And I said if they were not interested in selling the car or didn't have it, they could just say it to me. They again asked me for my name, number and vehicle I was interested in... which is kind of ridiculous, I've already provided that info twice. They insured me that they will expedite it as urgent and someone will get back to me the same day. So here we are several days later, no one has called me. This is the worst customer service I've ever encountered, I'm not going to call them anymore, nor I need any cars from such a place. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place and never purchase any cars from them. I assume they would do the same if you bring your car to them for service. My husband and I have been coming to Prestige since 2007 when we lived in Saugerties. We've since moved over 50 miles away and are close to Westchester County where there are MANY dealers but we still drive up north over an hour to Prestige because it is so worth the drive! Gerry is a great guy, honest, and definitely NOT pushy which is a huge plus for me. (When I've gone to other dealers and sales people start following me around, I run out the door. LOL.) When we first moved, we tried a local dealer and it was such a disappointment that we called Gerry, told him exactly what we wanted and when we arrived, he had everything waiting. No hassle, better price, there's no reason for us to ever go anywhere else! We've purchased two cars and leased twice here. We just picked up our most recent lease yesterday and we can definitely say we'll be back again! read more

For any of you who have recently purchased a new car, you must know that if you're bargain hunting it can be terribly time consuming and enough schmoozing to make you're head spin. After months of car hunting, I went to Prestige Hyundai to test drive the 2011 Elantra. I took it for a couple spins and decided this is the car I wanted. After talking with one of the sales managers I was offered a seemingly incredible deal based on the extensive research I had done (well under MSRP). The catch was that this small dealer did not have the exterior or interior color I wanted so I was told that I would have to wait until they got the car in inventory or traded with a local dealer. I decided to take the deal, wait it out, and give a $500 deposit to hold my car once it came in. Unfortunately, a few weeks later the car I was driving at the time broke down and my need to purchase a car went through the roof. I immediately called Prestige to check in with the sales manager in the hopes that he would either, (a) have the car I wanted (b) give me a time frame of when the car would come in, or (c) attempt to keep my business. None of these hopes came true. The Sales Manager told me that the car was not in stock and that there was nothing they could do. Nothing they could do!? I went and explored this magical place called the World Wide Web and within 10 minutes of searching I was able to find that the exact car I wanted was available at Suresky Hyundai in Goshen (much bigger dealer), and they had 4 in stock!! I immediately called Suresky and spoke with a wonderful salesman who was able to lock in a price within my range. The kicker was that the salesman at Suresky stated that they often trade cars with Prestige and didn't know why Prestige hadn't contacted them for the vehicle I had wanted. At the end of the day I was underwhelmed by Prestige's service & didn't feel that they made any real attempt to keep my business. Advice, if you're in the market to buy a new car, go to a larger dealer and you will receive more efficient & professional service. The end. read more

Our car used buying experience was good, though they wouldn't budge on the internet price. Per our request, they did throw in car mats and a cargo liners, and a full tank of gas, but did not make good on their promise of some touch up paint, which I have a written IOU for. Even after texts and phone calls that were not returned and a Facebook PM where they said they would get it out to us, they have since ignored us. We are so far very happy with the car. Just do your due diligence when purchasing a used car because the dealer won't always be forthcoming with you. For example, this car was in a small fender bender which the dealer did not disclose. My husband is an auto adjuster by trade so he noticed it. It didn't show up on Car Fax because the car was previously a rental and rental companies do their own repairs which do not show up on Car Fax. So, though I would have lived to give this dealership an excellent review I cannot. It really bothers me that they did not keep their word on the paint. read more

I purchased my Accent here in 2010 and had a wonderful experience working with my salesperson, Autumn. Not sure why other reviewers have such a negative view, but I can't say enough good things about this dealership. I searched for cars for months, doing research and test driving. Most dealerships didn't even bother to call me back when I submitted inquiries. Hyundai was professional, courteous, and gave me what I felt was a great deal and reasonable financing. No one made me feel pressured, rushed or uncomfortable as I had felt with other dealerships. After my purchase, Hyundai followed up with me several times to make sure I was still happy and to offer me my first maintenance service free of charge. They already had my money so there was no immediate financial incentive to follow up with me; they reached out because they have a solid understanding of how to provide great customer service and keep loyal customers. I always take my car back to them for maintenance and repairs and always will, for as long as I have this car. When I'm ready for a new vehicle, I will definitely check out this dealership first. Their service is always prompt and thorough, they vacuum my car free of charge, always explain the work they will be doing and again after it's completed, and their waiting room is clean and well stocked with water, coffee, and snacks. I hope that negative reviews will be taken with a grain of salt, as most people fill these things out when they have something to gripe about. I'm taking the time to submit this positive review because I am genuinely delighted with this dealership each and every time I work with them. Give them a shot, you won't regret it. read more

They gave me a crazy expensive price for a lease and I knew it was terrible, so I decided to leave which made them angrier. Leased a new 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Plug in from Gerry Fraenkel at Prestige Hyundai the other day. He and I had previously spoken some months ago when I was on the hunt for a Toyota Prius Plug Prime Plug in at the time - and while they didn't have the trim level I was looking for at the time, I knew from our interactions that he was the right guy to go to when I was looking for a quote on the Ioniq. Gerry's the atypical car salesman, and while I was very skeptical, as we all know those quintessential stereotypical car salesman type antics like the "bait and switch", that's hardly the case with Gerry. He's a straight shooter, no gimmicks, no games, no nonsense. He delivered the car I expected, at the price I expected, no fuss, no muss. It was well worth my 2 hr trip to see him, and I'm overwhelmingly likely to go to him again if in the market for a Toyota/Hyundai. Highly recommended. Do not buy a certified used hyundai from Prestige. I bought a certified used hyundai elantra from Prestige. This is my certified used hyundai elantra so I know what to expect. The dealer is supposed to do a checklist of functions. After I picked up the car I realized that they didn't check anything. Just marked up the price and slapped a certified used sticker on it. They didn't even fill the windshield wiper fluid, change the oil or filter, or even vacuum the car. So far I've had to change the the thermostat when the check engine was on. I had to immediately fill the windshield wiper fluid on the way home from picking up the car. I had to change the windshield wipers. When I changed the oil and filter the mechanic said it hadn't been changed in a very long time and was way overdue. The car had only 3,000 miles on it since the previous owner rarely used it because of the pandemic. As other reviewers have stated, you can't get anyone to answer the phone at Prestige Hyundai. It goes to a call center in India. I have lodged a complaint with Hyundai corporate and they will be contacting the dealership but I really don't expect a call. Do yourself a favor and buy a certified used from another dealer. read more

I purchased a new Elantra here a year and a half ago, and while the process was ok, it took quite a while to get the car. Since I purchased it, I have had my maintenance done here, but today I am stopping that practice. The attention to detail on the work was poor; when I pointed out the dirt all over my car (that had supposedly just received a "free carwash") I was directed to the manager who said "This is why I don't do car washes" and dismissed me rudely without resolving the issue. What kind of service is that? I bought a brand new car from you. Is it too much to ask that you wash it properly after I pay you to service it? read more

I had a 2006 Hyundai Tuscon and started to have to put money into it. It had been a great car so I decided to go to the dealer where I had purchased it. I spoke to an associate about leasing versus buying. I told him I would be back in about a month. Long story short when it was time to purchase he was non responsive via e-mail and phone (I live 45 minutes away) so I decided to check out Prestige. I walked in about 11 AM and drove off with a 2018 Hyundai Tuscon about 3 PM the same day! The sales associate Cassie was helpful and listened to what I wanted in a new car. They gave me more $ than I expected for my old car and worked out pricing for both leasing and buying with 3 different down payments. I had a great experience working with Cassie on getting a new Hyundai financed. I cant speak to the maintenance departments but everybody on the Hyundai sales team was polite and great to work with. As with any dealership there are last minute choices to make that can up-sale you on the warranties etc. Go in knowing what you want! read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars! I had been a customer for 13 years and had purchased and leased three brand new vehicles. My lease was going to mature in a few days and I needed assistance in purchasing the vehicle. I could not get anyone to help me!! Not only that, Chris Hall, one of the sales people was extremely rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. During our phone conversation he hung up on me and when he saw me at the dealership the next day he mocked me when I tried to exit the wrong door. I should mention that I'm a senior citizen. Brian McCarthy, another employee, did not show up for an appointment that I made, and later left me a message advising me to go elsewhere. As a last resort I contacted the General Manager Charlie Roszko, who didn't have the decency, class, or professionalism to return my calls and emails. I figured out how to purchase my leased vehicle and easily completed the transaction online without the help of those horrible, horrible people! I will never purchase another vehicle at Prestige. My Sonata wouldn't get up the RPMs very good so i made an appointment and took it to Prestiege. their factory trained specialist put some different sencors on the eng and was going to put catalytic converters on it also because they still couldn't get it to run right, finally one of the specialists got the ideal to test the fuel pump, guess what?, it was the fuel pump.. all this time they were calling me a couple times a day to tell me what they were doing and assuring me that everything was warrenteed, they even put spark plugs in the eng although the eng wasn't missing or skipping, they're supposed to be replaced every 60 thousand miles, they had just been replaced. I went to pick up the car and received a bill for over 1100. and payed it and also told them that i was going to file a report with the DMV, the guy said" do what you have to" I filed a report with the DMV and received most of my money back in a few months and there's no doubt in my mind thatr if i hadn't threw out the spark plugs and wires so that i had them to show the investigator i would have got it all back. I wouldn't trust Prestiege at all and do not recommend them. read more

Would NEVER do business with this dealership AGAIN! Buyer beware...after buying not one but three Hyundias from Prestige my wife & I finally found out what they were all about. We leased a 2011 Sonata and in December 6 months before the lease was up we recieved a notice from Hyundai offering a six month early buy out if we leased a new Sonata. Being that we were almost at out limit we decided to take them up on this offer. Six months later I started to get bill from Hyundai financing saying that I had a balance of $1274 on my old lease due to an early termination...what!!?? How can this be? After many phone calls to Hyundai I was told that the had tried to contact the dealership for several months and that they failed to fill out what they call a pull ahead form that would have rectified this. Really?, a simple form could have fixed this issue? Furthermore after looking into Presitge further I had found that they had numerous compliants from buyers about their business practices. I called the dealership several times to try and find out why they refused to fix their mistake. After all, it was their mistake and now I was being billed for it. I spoke with PJ Bastone in financing & Brian Mcarthy and they would not even return my phone calls. I then called Charlie Roszko who is the owner to try and get this resolved and not one call was returned. Not what I would call a professionally ran dealership! After not getting any return phone calls I decided to go to the dealership to see if I can speak with the owner Charlie....after getting the run around for about 30 minutes I found him by a counter and after explaining what had happened HIS ANSWER TO ME WAS " I CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT" I could not believe my ears. I explained that it was his dealerships mistake and asked why they were not filling out the pull ahead form to resolve this and he would not answer me. He then went on to say "I ADMIT IT WAS OUR MISTAKE BUT I AM NOT PAYING YOUR BILL TAKE ME TO COURT!!" Now I ask, what company would ever do business like this. I could not believe the blantent disregard for customer service & the rudeness of his staff. After they failed to file the new lease paperwork properly they left a customer with a $1274 bill and pretty much was told by THE OWNER to go F**K off. Jason of the Service Department absolutely stinks when it comes down to finite troubleshooting. They are parts replace-ers, not troubleshooters. They took my dad for $450.00 suggesting parts needed to be replaced to fix a specific problem that they were troubleshooting with their own computer. They were never able to fix it and eventually told my dad they didnt know what to do anymore. KEEP AWAY FROM THESE GUYS! VERY SHADY. read more

I called Prestige this morning to report that something was stolen from my middle console when left it in service for a few day. The ASSHOLE Jeff Decker was extremely rude to me. Instead of listening to what I was trying to tell him he was defensive and rude. He kept telling me no one would do that when I'm 100% sure the item was still in my middle console when i dropped it off. Not to mention this inst our first run in with the guy. He was rude to my fiance in the past when she had an issue with her SUV. This guy is a joke and by all the other reviews left on here I'm not the only one who had had to deal with the bullshit this guy dishes out. Every time you try to get a General manager or someone important on the phone no one returns your phone call or email. I have had to actually file a complaint with the corporate office against the dealership over the matter and their lack of concern that there is a thief working at their establishment. Not even sure where to begin! To make a VERY long story short. My daughter and I went to buy 2 cars. (My friends were there the same day- so THREE car sales in an hour). It took all 3 of us 2 weeks to actually get the cars??? Every time we called, it was a different story. Well-I finally get my car- 3 weeks pass, and quite by accident, I find out "someone" screwed up really bad- I mean REALLY bad with my registration/insurance. Seems I had been driving for 3 weeks with no registration, or insurance! CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE????? And if I hadn't, on a whim, called my insurance guy- it could've been longer! It took them THREE more weeks to straighten the mess out! And- here's where the problem really is. I will say, they gave me a loaner, (a compact car when I bought an SUV), paid my 1st months payment (as I wasn't going to pay for a car that I couldn't drive), paid a months insurance, paid all DMV fines (YES- my license was suspended due to "owning" an uninsured vehicle...NYS Law!). So, they did everything they HAD to do. BUT....every e-mail/phone call was to the owner of Prestige Hyundai, Charlie Roszko, and not ONE TIME did he take 30 seconds to respond personally! He always had someone else respond. It was a MAJOR screw up on the part of Prestige- and the owner couldn't take the time to apologize personally? The consequences could have been devastating. The "manager" blamed everyone for the screw up- the salesman, the "girls in the office", etc. I'm sorry- as a business owner-EVERYTHING that happens you are responsible for. A 30 second phone call would have made all the difference! As a PS...I wrote Corporate Hyundai- they didn't seem to care much either, and I sent my friends to Healey Hyundai in Beacon- they had the car the next day and the experience was flawless! read more

OVERALL I RATE PRESTIGE ABOUT 3.5 Sales I rate barely 2 STARS are typical sales idiots. I wanted a Prius and described features I was looking for in a used Prius the saleman never got back to me- because i was looking for a specific features. He seemed like he was only interested in selling me what he had in stock which did not meet my needs. So he had an "I don't care about you attitude". So, he killed the chances of any deal happneing by totolly ignoring me for weeks never calling me for follow up such as potential used cars he may be able to obtain for me. When I went out of my way to stop by again weeks later (even though I should not have) he could offer me no excuses nor apologies for totally ignoring me for weeks. Nor did he have any potential used Priuses that I might be interested in.... so I took my business elsewhere. Just a total dud salesman. Service is 4.5 STARS... I have dealt with their service department for my Prius and even for a Subaru and they are excellent. Among the better dealers for service I've ever encountered and there are about 10 i've dealt with over the course of my 32 years driving. I generally try to avoid dealer service and go to them ONLY when they are qualified for the specific need such as a dealer specific part involved.. And as you know, every once and a while you need a dealer for specific issues. I would not hesitate to recommend this service department. A high 4 and close to 5. read more
