So after a week of calling ALL OVER the city for a locksmith that was able to replace & reprogram a Mercedes key fog, I finally found Prestige. Avishay, the owner, was extremely knowledgeable and quoted me $350 for everything -- amazing deal, considering how tough it is to find a locksmith that even has the equipment to work on my car. Also saved me a trip to the dealership that would have costed me $560, plus whatever ridiculous price they'd charge me to get my car towed there AND to program the key. Avishay himself worked on my car. Incredible job, considering he had to remove my entire ignition. He was 30 minutes early to the appointment and it took about an hour and a half for everything. Amazing and super friendly! My salon was broken into on a Sunday evening at 7:30pm and I was frantic about getting someone out to fix our door right away as we were closed and in the middle of downtown. Prestige answered their phone on the 2nd ring and was at the salon in 7 minutes!! They beat the police there!! The man that arrived was very friendly and quick acting. For the following couple weeks after he fixed our lock/door, the lock was very tight and it was hard for us to turn our keys. Eventually, a key got stuck and the lock needed to fully be replaced. Oh man, Shy is awesome. I called him up because I found him on Yelp. He sounded like he just got out of bed. Granted, it was midnight, so I felt terrible. It was me who was in a crappy situation for my own stupidity for losing my keys, and he had to get out of bed and come save my butt; and he just woke right up and came within 30 minutes. Wow.. He's a really chill familyman, and came out during a very chilly midnight. During the key-making, he gave me some pointers, and never really charged more for any more services. Everything was very straight forward, and honest. He was never pushy about any other services either. Wait stop giving me pointers on what to do in the future! Does he not want my future business? haha. He really knows his trade, and is very knowledgeable. Shy's a very friendly, cool dude. He deserves free beers at any bar for life haha. I somewhat jest, but seriously, if I ever do see him at a bar, that beer's on me buddy. The prices were incredibly fair. Here I was, thinking, "damn, I must pay $500 for losing my car keys.. this sucks." $250, at midnight (yelp discount too)? really dude, that's it? It was also $300 total for an additional remote, but this are his words: "Here's a link where you can buy a remote. I'll teach you how to configure the remote. Why pay $50 more, when you can save about $20 right here?" (YMMV, since these prices most likely vary between manufacturers). He then proceeds to show me the car's cheat code combination akin to the Konami Code of door closes and half-ignition turns to tie the remote to the car. I grabbed a bunch of his magnets and business cards so I can tell all my buddies. He turned a terrible situation into an interesting experience for a fair price during the middle of a cold night. Having recently purchased a new condo, I found the company through Yelp (as usual) and requested a quote for re-keying my locks. Shy was quick to respond with a quote after telling him the address and what work needed to be done. I was not in any hurry but he was able to have a technician out that very same day which was very convenient for me. Anyhow, Mark was very courteous and pleasant as he did his job even taking the time to show me the process of re-keying the lock. I thought about trying to do it myself but after seeing what goes into it I'll leave it to the professionals. He was prompt, courteous and honest. He gave me a solid quote via E-mail for removing a broken-off key jammed in the lock of my car. Upon arrival, he fixed the broken lock in minutes and lubed both locks. He was friendly and professional, charging exactly what he quoted. I haven't been able to use this door in over 10 years, and he fixed in minutes. I am posting this review because of the atypical conversation I had with one of their mobile service providers. Allow me to explain... Started off my Friday losing my keys at work and I sent the receptionist an email to send out a company email for my lost keys. 8 hours later, no luck. I spent an hour or two researching what to do in this situation but to no avail except tow the car and get raped at the stealership. Shy helped make the best out of a bad situation. My girlfriend lost the keys to her truck and we had to move it for street sweeping. Used to be such a breeze when you lost your keys. Now it requires a locksmith with some pretty extreme skills, and Shy delivers. Two words: Amazing service. I locked myself out of my apartment earlier today and had to call around to find a locksmith. I was browsing through Yelp and found Prestige! Gave them a call and told them of my problem. First, Shy provided me with a quote ($75) and then gave an estimate of how long it would take him to get there (roughly 20-25 minutes)! After getting my info, Shy arrived within his estimated time frame and got to work. It only took him a few seconds to get me inside and, FOR FREE, helped me adjust some of the locks that had been giving me some trouble recently. He was quick, very nice, and told me that if I wanted any extra keys made, he also did that for free. In total, it took about 10 minutes for him to fix my locks and help me get back inside.
