There's a saying "Time is money." Well it certainly is when a business quotes you their hourly rate or provides an estimate for a job and says that it's the cost for their time/labor, but Prestige must not appreciate that other people's time is money when they don't show up (or call) and respect potential customers time, on two separate occasions to provide an estimate. If you're too busy, have some professional courtesy and let a potential client know you're too busy. Don't book estimates and not show up and not even call (twice). Poor business and even if you're the best damn painters this side of the Mississippi, this lack of professionalism doesn't deserve anyone's money especially for a commodity business like painting where there are a ton of other reputable options. read more

The estimating part went ok but I have them itemize each activity on your quote in case they don't do it all and you can't give up another 10 days to fix it. They say you can pick the days and then ask for more days once the project is about to start (PS, we booked weeks after we accepted the quote so it wasn't a rush job) The painting was done well. I don't think they cleaned up well. There was paint drips on our hardwood floors after - they used loose tarps and didn't tape anything to the floors. They like flat paint because it doesn't last. You have to know that yourself. They didn't sand our 20+ new window frames well but when we asked for a credit, they offered to come back and re-sand the 20+ window frames and we should just know that fresh wood shouldn't be smooth (what?) they don't say those things when they quote. I couldn't give up another 10 days of my life for them to redo work that wasn't done the 1st time correctly. The credit we asked for was not provided, instead they reminded us of the additional work they offered to do that was so much more money - how we'd know that? We wouldn't. So when the flat paint gets chalky, we'll get our frames done right by someone else. Just know they change their words and minds substantially from quotes to work and it's on you if you don't think of everything they may want to change at the last minute or to say no instead of them just doing what they said they'd do. read more

Could not be happier! I agree with other reviews about the professionalism of Prestige Painting and Decorating. I am a clean freak and am always concerned about the condition workers will leave my house in. No worries with Prestige Painting. Bogdan and his wonderful workers Andy and Paul are fantastic! We had a contractor catastrophe and had to bring in another painter to fix things and complete a large job. We just had Prestige stain and paint the exterior of our current home and we could not be more pleased with the result. Our house is a fairly-large two-story, cedar with no brick. We were overdue for a paint job, and the house needed extensive recaulking. We did a color change, and the color we chose required three coats. Bogdan's crew started by powerwashing on Tuesday, caulking/prep on Wednesday, and they were finished the following Wednesday. It looks like a new house. Strangers have stopped to tell us how great it looks. Most important, my wife is happy with the job. (If she's not happy, no one's happy!) Several of Bogdan's painters have been with him for a long time. I have been using Prestige for at least fifteen years on three homes, for interior painting, wallpapering, etc.. I have recommended them to others, who have also been happy with their work. Their price may be a bit higher than other painters, but the quality of their work is well worth it. We referred them to our next door neighbors four years ago for exterior staining/painting, and the neighbors are still very satisfied with the job. read more
