I've been here many time and usually love the food. Vegan and vegetarian sandwiches and really inventive seasonal salads. I went today and it was such a miss that I'll be turned off for a long time. I ordered a coconut caramel iced coffee that was chunky--like bits of congealed coconut milk the texture of playdough. I also found multiple bits of fabric in my salad--maybe chopped up bits of hairnet? I entirely lost my appetite. I brought it to the attention of the gentleman behind the counter, and he offered to remake it. I declined and told him politely it was because I was grossed out and was surprised that he didn't offer to refund. A really disappointing visit that has turned me off of a casual restaurant that used to be a staple for me. read more

Forgot to take pictures, but ordered delivery Sunday morning. We got about 4 sandwiches, hash browns, and potato fries. I got the final meltdown add avocado. Oh my gosh! So freaking delicious. Even after being delivered and sitting a bit, the hash brown was still crispy in the sandwich. I am a saucey person so this sandwich was bomb. I moved from Santa Cruz and I still dream about these sandwiches, I had to come back and leave a review because I can't believe I hadn't yet. The gluten free bun is the best gluten free bun I've had in my life. A gluten free and vegan breakfast sandwich can be very hard to come by, and pretty good advice makes the best one hands down. The seating is so cute, I loved coming and eating a sandwich on my own, or taking my boyfriend out for a brunch date. Everyone here is so friendly, and has great advice on the menu! There were 4 uniformed police officers in line waiting to order food today. The police officers were very polite to the employee, saying please and thank you. Right before the last officer began to order, the employee began to play the song "F*** the police", and increased the volume. The employee, Zaia, was noticeably rude to the officers, and would not acknowledge them after they thanked her for the food they ordered. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a little snack and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ordered a good morning deluxe without the cheese (basically the regular egg sando but add avocado), a large fries, and an Arnold Palmer. It was a lot of food for a great price. We asked for the sandwich cut in half to share, which was perfect, the hash brown with the egg and avocado and the bun were so good together. Next time I'll ask to add arugula as well. Large fries was the perfect amount to share. Arnold Palmer was just the right amount of not too sweet. Can't wait to try more things like the homemade vegan burger or dessert. Service was great as well - the staff person answered all our questions and was really accommodating. Based on the menu, it was not inherently obvious to me what the flavor/texture/makeup of the burger would be. We are not vegetarian but enjoy vegetarian food, and once the person taking orders explained to us how the patty was made (in house, ground lentils/beans if I'm remembering correctly vs artificial meat or plant-based items trying to resemble meat which I'm not into) we were much more interested in trying it. The lady taking our order was rude and kept cutting us off while taking our order and wasn't open for any questions about the menu. They didn't have the mushroom swiss burger, so I opted for the jalapeno bbq burger with fries. The burger had a pretty thin patty that relied way too heavily on the hot sauce to make it flavorful. Nothing about the burger was special...pretty generic bun and your standard lettuce, tomatos, onion and pickles. All i tasted was a vinegary hot sauce and i didn't feel like it's that worth it for $7...if you have a bigger appetite than me, one burger probably wouldn't fill you. The fries were a fair portion to me, but were soggy in the to-go container.
