Erik's deli Cafe in Capitola is a convenient place for a quick bite, since it's not far from the freeway. Parking is never a problem since it is a block away from the busy mall. Their menu is predictable. You know what you're getting. It's gonna be salads, soups, and sandwiches. You order at the counter, get a number to take to your table, and someone will bring food to your table. You never have to wait long for your food to arrive. They have clean restrooms, which is always a welcome sight while on a road trip. Lots of tables inside and a few tables outside. Kid friendly place.

FINALLY! The food was amazing today and the customer service EXCELLENT! I am so happy to see that improvements have been made and I can once again enjoy a wonderful sandwich! A Plus today! My sandwich was prepared perfectly and the side of turkey for my dogs was wrapped separately ! ( which the dogs enjoyed).

Great food and friendly service. They have a parking lot in front with lots of spots. There is lots of seating inside. They also do to go orders and now have an online order and pick up system. They are pretty fast at getting your food out however when we've asked for no sprouts or extra ranch on the side they have gotten the order wrong a couple of times. Reasonable prices, they have fountain drinks and bottled as well. Overall great lunch spot to stop at or take on the go!

Nnnn almost done with my chicken Caesar salad! Yum

This ain't it! The sandwich was half full and looked like they just thrown together. For the price there are way better spots in town.

I come a few times a month for work lunches and it's always a great experience. Big kudos to the long-time GM Lisa Chiorello for achieving this consistent excellence! Today was an above and beyond moment: I was seated next to a table of 8 senior citizens. They asked the server Bella to split the bill 8 ways, and Bella didn't blink. She acted like it was the easiest thing to do (I know from prior serving jobs, it isn't!). The seniors were having a difficult time figuring out which meal was theirs, and who was paying with card and who was paying with cash. It was quite the scene! Bella had to spend a lot of time with them. She was so kind and patient.... it was a heart-warming thing to witness. And she never missed a beat serving her other tables, including mine. I just wanted to acknowledge Bella's kind and caring actions in a world that sadly is not like that a lot of the time. Thanks Bella for making me smile and the seniors' lunch enjoyable. You are a compassionate and considerate person that every company would be lucky to employ.

It was super gross to feel in one's mouth, and pasta was lukewarm... it makes me wonder if it was "prepared" in advance and just served soon after. Server was nice and did handle the issue promptly with the manager (hence not 1 star). Overall though; this experience just wasn't good. Tried Olive Garden for the first time in over a decade, and was very unfortunately disappointed by it. Probably avoid Olive Garden and try an actual Italian restaurant.

We decided to give it a try and are now so happy we did. I got the veggie pho and my husband got the rare steak, meat ball, tendon pho. The veggie pho included tofu, mushrooms, bok choy and green onion, as well as a healthy portion of noodles. The full-bodied broth was absolutely delicious (I did add the accompanying spice from time to time). My husband was super happy with the bowl he had too. I haven't seen him get so excited since he last had pho in Seattle. The service was also wonderful. The younger cashier that took our order, brought us water and served our bowls of pho was super friendly and attentive. Additionally, my husband initially planned to order the vegetarian pho with meatballs added. The cook (possibly owner) came out to ensure that's what he wanted. He instead recommended the dish my husband ended up ordering and commented that it would cost us a little less money as well. I felt that said a lot about the establishment and its workers. The restaurant was clean and really large. I noticed some coming in for pick up orders but my husband and I were the only ones dining in at the time. I was sad thinking about all the restaurants that came before it in that exact space that eventually closed. Given the great service and delicious pho (best I've had in Santa Cruz), I highly recommend trying it out. This spot deserves our business!

They were chewy and undercooked!) There were a lot of customers there and, I believe only 3 workers: front of the restaurant woman who is your hostess, server, "bus boy", and cashier! Then there was the cook and someone in the back. The service was fine overall but Sapporo fell short on cleanliness and food handling safety. My kids and I were STARVING so we had to just look the other way throughout our dinner. You can tell they were working hard so we didn't want to make a fuss but omg... the woman brought our bowls with her THUMB in the bowls! I could see that it went into the soup one time so she moved her thumb (probably bec it was hot) and almost dropped the bowl on the table. Another time she held a piece of paper (I think it was the order) in her hand while also handling our food, so the paper went into 2 out of 4 of our bowls. She had to shake the piece of paper next to me to get the food to fall off. It was so shocking that it was almost funny. Almost. Sapporo is what I'd call a "hole in the wall" establishment like ones I had been to in big cities, and with those places, I think there is a bit of uncleanliness that you just have to expect as long as the food is good. Based on how packed Sapporo is, I think that's what others feel as well.

It is very cooked which made it super dry. It seems alot of the yelp reviews were about the egg. I hope with many feedbacks about the egg, the chef could improve it make it half raw like most places. I was happily surprised to see a katsu menu (even a plate of mixed katsu), ramen (even Cheesy Ramen), and sushi rolls. I came with friends because we were craving classic Korean BBQ dishes, like spicy hot tofu soup and Dol Sot Chicken Bibimbap (clay pot with sizzling rice at the bottom - yum!) and soju (Korean wine), but we ended up also getting Japanese dishes, like unagi donburi (fresh water eel). Plus, as a classic Korean BBQ place, Sesame served the little dishes of Korean goodies, like kimchi, and they were so refreshingly tasty and obviously homemade! You know it's a good place when you are thinking about what dishes you want to order the next time you come, whom you want to invite, and where the takeout menu is! Service was okay: we were seated quickly and food arrived at a good pace. We had to ask for a few things, like remind them of our drinks, and wasn't checked on, but our server was easy to find and we had no complaints because we were too busy devouring our food and toasting with our pomegranate soju. Other things to note for first time customers: - Parking can be a little tricky because the lot in front of the restaurant is limited to about 5 cars only! Try across the street! Also beware that street parking meters are strictly enforced. - Drinks are delicious. Get them. - The place is spacious, so it's food for large groups. - Ambiance is more of a family restaurant (nothing fancy). The most important takeaways are: the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable!
