At the last minute of the scheduled appointment time, they called to reschedule. We said "no" because our ill child was asleep at the time they wanted to come. They came anyway, at the time they wanted. They woke up the poor kid. Second time they were 10 minutes Late. They did a very poor job. No dusting, floor still dirty, and kitchen, yes, one of the most important areas, was TOTALLY missed. I mean nothing was done. Then they left with least 20 minutes early. So, the 2 hours we paid for was actually only 90 minutes. And, the 90 minutes is being generous since the 2 cleaners just chatted the whole time. I hired this cleaning service and after they left my emerald and diamond ring was missing. I called and the owner said they had never paid a claim in 7 years and he denied the cleaners took it. I filed a police report, but he would not cooperate with the police or with me and give me the names of the two women who were in my house cleaning so we could check the pawn shops. The detective assigned to the case said he would not return calls, but he finally got him and got their names. PIP say they are licensed and bonded, but that means nothing. I bought a coupon for 2 hours of cleaning by two people. Got an email the day before. Showed up within the 1 hour window. Got to work quickly and did a better than average job. My wife had knee replacement surgery and, frankly, I was not keeping up with some of the housekeeping. These two ladies came in, took my prioritized list and got to work.I was quite pleased with their work and wouldn't hesitate to call on them again. I bought a Groupon for two hours of cleaning for $75.00. I used it to have Pretty In Pink come to my vacant property to clean just before it was to be put on the market to be sold. The property is just less than 1,300 sq ft and had no furniture, knickknacks, etc. in it. The property had new paint, floors, baseboards, toilets installed so there wasn't much to be cleaned there. However, the place was a little dusty. The carpets need to be vacuumed and the tile downstairs needed to be mopped. The kitchen need to be wiped down and the two bathtubs needed to be cleaned. Two girls in two hours were not able to accomplish this. They left without mopping the floor, and actually left their dirty footprints all over my kitchen floor. The countertops in the kitchen were left filthy and untouched. I am highly disappointed with Pretty in Pink and would not recommend them. read more

After reading some of the reviews I felt I should add my own. I've been using Pretty in Pink for about 2 years now, and they do a good job. My home is clean and comfortable to live in. Whenever I ask them to do something out of the ordinary, they are happy to comply. I don't leave valuables out and have had no issues with them about missing items. They try to fit in your appt when it's convenient for you. The staff who clean are pleasant, and I would recommend them to anyone. No one is perfect, so if one little thing isn't done one month, it will be the next. I have never had any major cleaning issues with them. read more

I was very pleased with Patricia and the other lady that came to clean my house. They arrived within the given window. She let me know that it was going to take longer than the initial 2 hour package that I bought and that I could add on time if I wanted to make sure everything got done. I agreed to an additional hour. I left to run some errands and recieved a phone call about 2.5 hours in that they were finished. I told her that I would be home soon and certainly before the 3 hours I would be paying for was up. During the 20 minutes it took me to get home they called 3-4 times impatiently asking when I would be home. I let her know that I would be stopping by the bank to get her money for the additional hour that I had not paid for with my credit card but she continuted to call a few more times. I'm not sure what her rush was, I was still paying her for the time she waited at my house. Anyway, they did a great job, and my house looks great. My only reason for removing the star was for giving me such a hard time about coming home to pay them when we were still well inside the 3 hours we agreed they would be at the house for. They failed to show up on the first scheduled appointment & when I called they mysteriously "lost" my information. When they did eventually clean our house I was not impressed at all. I'm not usually that particular when people clean my house but they did a terrible job. Mirrors & counters weren't cleaned well & they only cleaned one side of our sliding glass door. We used a Groupon for Pretty In Pink and this is our review of them. First, cleaners showed 40 mins late. None of the 2 cleaners spoke english and then one throws up in our bathroom! This was the WORST company I've ever dealt with in my life! First, my wife and I had to reschedule a move-in clean SEVERAL times because they could not get our address right, then when they finally do show up they, well let's just say my wife and I had to re-clean the house the next day, we also found when we were doing the cleaning we were paying Pretty In Pink to do that they had broken the blinds in our master bedroom and in our living room. Then to top it all off they decide to finally charge us for the horrible cleaning service 3 MONTHS LATER. I've had a mother-daughter team come through a few times now after purchasing a couple cleaning sessions through Groupon. The ladies are so sweet and do a good job, and the PIP schedulers are easy to work with and flexible. They do a good job cleaning for the price. I was a little caught off guard when they showed up the first time and asked to use my vacuum...not the end of the world, but I wasn't expecting that. Awful and untrustworthy. I have never written an online review but felt like I had to warn people about this company. I got the "membership" from Groupon and called to set up a cleaning appointment. I wanted to meet the people cleaning the home to talk about what areas to clean and also to put my dog out. The people showed up at my house HOURS before their scheduled time slot. The scheduler called demanding that I just tell them how to get in. When I explained I wanted to be there - they then said the girls couldn't clean my house that day and it would have to be rescheduled. Against my better judgment I rescheduled it for the next day. They assured me it would be at a certain time - and I showed up and met the girls. When they saw that I was there suddenly they "had another house to clean" and could not clean my house and LEFT. When I called the company - the secretary Michelle told me there was nothing she could do, and that I could try talking to the manager tomorrow. I'm not sure what kind of scam they are running - other than I obviously lost my "membership" money via Group On... I'm going to contact them to see if I can get it back, but who knows. I purchased a one-time cleaning on Groupon and called to schedule a move-out clean of my apartment. PIP informed me that the Groupon was not eligible for move-out cleaning and that it would cost twice the Groupon price. When I pointed out that it did not specify that anywhere on the Groupon, the woman at PIP said, "I know, but it just doesn't. For a move-out clean will be an additional $80 over the Groupon price." Having already spent money on the Groupon and in a pinch to get the place cleaned, I went ahead and paid the extra money and scheduled the 3-hour cleaning. The day of, they showed up, I was in the middle of moving furniture so I left them to clean my nearly empty apartment, asking them to specifically concentrate on cleaning out the appliances for a move-out check. Returned to my apt a couple of hours later, the 2 ladies were already gone and my a/c was running full blast in the empty apartment at 65 degrees (I'd left it at 79 and the place was cold when I walked back in!). The apartment seemed clean, but I had no idea how long they had worked, what time they'd left, if I'd actually gotten the full 3-hour cleaning I'd paid extra for, or how long the a/c had been cooling an empty apartment at 65 degrees on my dime. No one called or texted to let me know the job was done, they just left, and left the a/c cranked down and still running. 2 weeks after moving out, I get a bill from apartment management charging me for a dirty fridge/freezer! They claimed it was not properly cleaned for check-out. After paying a professional service AND asking them to specifically concentrate on the appliances so they were good to go, needless to say I'm less than pleased to now be billed for unclean appliances. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid in PAYING for a cleaning service! I have been trying to reach PIP for over a week now since receiving this bill, but have yet to make contact with anyone who works there. Keep getting the answering machine, I leave a message, no one calls back. Then I will get a random text (the latest one was from Zoe) asking when is a good time to reach me. I text the number back, but again get no response. I'm really hoping that PIP is a reputable company that will stand behind their services and reimburse me for this charge since the fridge/freezer weren't cleaned well enough to pass the move-out check and I was billed for it, but after seeing how they operate, I have my doubts. My recent experience was less than satisfactory. Although I set my first appointment 3 weeks in advance it was cancelled the day prior due to an "emergency". Fine, I get that. Then they tried to reschedule me for 3 weeks later? After some grumbling, they scheduled me for the following week. After arrival time of 11:30-12:30 was confirmed, crew arrived at 9AM - good thing I was there. Seem a bit disorganized. They do not allow crew to take shoes off & don't provide booties for shoes so after cleaning floors, they walk on wet floors with shoes??? Who does this? The 2 person crew worked in same room together even though the house is small with small bathrooms. They "wiped" things down, didn't scrub or remove water spots, hair spray residue, etc. from master countertops or shower. I had to re-clean my master bathroom. Didn't clean the top of the 4" granite backsplash, top of the refrigerator, etc. Shook throw rugs in the house! I don't necessarily blame the cleaning crew, probably a lack of training. Didn't speak much English so preferences weren't easily communicated. All in all, wouldn't use them again. I purchased two 2 hour services but have asked for a refund for the 2nd one. We have used cleaning services in the past, but this is by far, the worst. The crew was pleasant, but lazy, leaving areas undusted, We had to remind them a few times what they missed. The company owner is a joke. Once, she called the night before our cleaning was scheduled and left a message on my voice mail "tellling" me that the girls would have to change their clean time and proceeded to tell me what the new time would be. Well, it turned out that I had a Dr's appt, so the time was not convenient for us. I called her back and, of course, got her voice mail. I left a message. She called back later that evening and rescheduled me for 4 days later - not acceptable for me. I need my house cleaned bi-weekly. Because she was the one that changed the time, she certainly should have made every effort to squeeze me in sooner then that. I just let it go. Okay, so fast forward to the next scheduled clean date - no call - no show. I called to find out where they were and once again, got their voice mail. As of yet, 4 hours later, not a peep. This company will lure you in with LS or Groupon and then get you to buy a membership so you can continue to get a discounted price. What they won't tell you is that the membership needs to be renewed annually and that the price will go from $29 to $69 and that when you renew, the new price you pay will to have your house cleaned will be be based on the square footage of your house and not how long it takes the girls to clean it. This is unfair because even if your house looks like a "model home" and you only live in some of the rooms, they are basing the price on the square footage. It is not a good way to do business. This company used to have GREAT customer service and were very accommodating. If they broke something or didn't do a satisfactory job, they would always try and make it right. stay away!!!!! beware!!!!! as another user wrote previously: 2 of our bathroom sink chrome finishes were rubbed off. our microwave handle (silver coat) was rubbed off. a few of our children's "special" toy story toys were "stolen" (they said the cleaners probably just threw them away). we told our children before the cleaning to put them in a different place so they wouldn't get lost - and they did. after the cleaning they were gone! they broke the cover to our wooden blinds and just laid the piece on top of the window - like we wouldn't notice. when we called the company it took 2 weeks and groupon getting involved to get a call back. they asked for photos and didn't contact us. after numerous more calls to pretty in pink, today we finally got a call back and they will not accept any responsibility. the faucets alone cost over $400 for installation & purchase. our children's precious toys could be replaced on ebay for double the amount we paid - this was an awful experience for our family - especially our children! if you are not the few "good experiences" stealing and property damage is what you will receive. read more

Well, it seem that people either love them or hate them, so I'm giving four stars because I love AND hate them. I've used this service several times for over a year and have had both good and bad experiences...the girls do a nice job of cleaning and are nice and very respectful, but the scheduling department is terrible. Not only do they give huge windows of time but twice they didn't even put me on the schedule. This last time, I was preparing for a large gathering at my home so I called a week before. I received an email confirming my appointment time and took the time off of work. When they didn't show up after a couple of hours, I called PIP and spoke with a very nice girl who did everything she could to make it right. I so appreciated her efforts (I think her name was Andrea). Because I had back surgery in November, I'm quite limited to what I can do and when I explained the situation to her (expecting company, being unable to clean the house myself, booking that didn't get put on the schedule, etc.) she said she would put me on the schedule AT MY CONVENIENCE and no charge! I was astounded and very happy. The girls came the next day and did a fine job. When they had completed two hours they said they were leaving and I told them I had requested three hours - without arguing or even batting an eye, they got back to work and finished in less than an hour. This was GREAT customer service and I will definitely use this company again. read more

PLEASE BELIEVE ALL THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE! I bought a Groupon for 2 two-hour cleaning sessions. I own a 920 sq. ft. furnished rental property that has been vacant for 6 months. It was dusty but not dirty. Two technicians showed up, and I instructed them on the things I wanted to make sure they cleaned. They called after an hour (I paid for 2 hours) stating they were finished. At first glance, it smelled fine, and it had been vacuumed. I tipped them WELL, and they left. Then I noticed that they had not touched the end table just inside the door. I could write my name in the dust on both shelves. They did not wipe off the 1-in wide top of the TV, and they did not dust the table it sits on. They had not touched the mini blinds. The rungs of the black dining chairs were still dusty. There was an imprint of someone's behind where they sat on the dusty leather sofa, but the rest of the seat and the back were still covered in dust. They said they would wipe off the top and sides of the fridge, but they did not. The top of the microwave was covered in dust and grease. The metal headboard was covered in dust. The company cannot get another team of "cleaners" to my property before my tenants arrive. So far, I have paid $159 for the privilege of cleaning my own property! STAY AWAY! read more
