Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers

True to its fast-casual model, service is efficient even when lines are long. The tip to order ahead through their app is a smart one and definitely saves time. The signature Box Combo is the way to go, giving you a great overview of what they do best. The star of the show is undeniably the Cane's Sauce. It has a cult following for good reason, its creamy, tangy flavor pairs perfectly with the crispy, juicy chicken fingers. The sides complete the experience: the Texas Toast is buttery and soft, ideal for dipping, and the crinkle-cut fries are reliably crispy when fresh. It's worth noting that the experience can vary. In addition to this, the meal can also feel quite heavy or greasy to some diners. Overall, Raising Cane's is a solid choice for a quick, dependable chicken finger fix. It won't reinvent fast food, but for a tasty, no-fuss meal where the sauce truly shines, it consistently hits the spot and is a great deal for the quality.

I have to admit it, Raising Cane's is excellent. I am against chain, restaurants, against fast…read morefood, restaurants, and against flash in the pans. When I asked my daughter what what meal she wanted before we embarked on the trip to drop her off at school she instantly said, Raising Cane's. At that point, I realized I had denied her Kane's pretty much all summer and my goose was cooked. The chicken is moist and warm crunchy on the outside and taste like chicken. The batter has a mild flavor to it the compliments, the chicken. The crinkle cut fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the outside and taste like potatoes. The lemonade is excellent. The coleslaw is excellent. I don't get the big deal about the Caine's m secret sauce, which does nothing for me other people love I don't even know what's in. It is fairly priced. Definitely a better deal than McDonald's or KFC.

Attempt 1:I tried to place an order online and use a Kelly's gift card that I received, as well - a gift. Sorry, gift cards not accepted online. Attempt 2:I logged in and tried to use the app. Upon checkout, gift cards not accepted. Attempt 3:I went to the restaurant and went to a kiosk (order here!). I logged in and entered my first item (roast beef). The second item was not programmed into the kiosk. Attempt 4:I went to a cashier and told them what I wanted to order. They don't accept the voucher from the loyalty program if paid with a gift card. Attempt 5:The cashier got a manager who informed me it required a credit card to register the loyalty program and then I could use the gift card. Order went through. Then I waited. And waited. 18 minutes for a roast beef sandwich and fried pickles. That's all. I had to change my order from eat-in to take-out. I eventually was given a bag with food. The pickles were there and they were ok. The roast beef was there and it was decent. But neither was properly prepared and both missed ingredients that were on the receipt. Whoops. Order failure. Oh, due to the extensive time to place the order and get the food, I was not able to finish things before my next meeting. So it was mostly a waste. How unfortunate.

I ordered at the counter and took the 2 top high table right by the window. I ordered the House Dog and a side of waffle fries that came with their house made honey ketchup. The food was ready pretty quickly and it looked really good as I brought it back to my table. The House dog is listed as being topped with chopped bacon, grilled onions and their spicy pub style mustard. Overall it was really good. The onions weren't as cooked as much as I would have liked them to be and some of the onion pieces were pretty big. I thought the mustard was great and really wanted more of that on the dog. I know it looks like plenty in the picture but I still wanted more. The bun was that perfect split top New England bun that was perfectly toasted on both sides. The fries were good. Well-seasoned. I couldn't tell that anything was different about the ketchup. I did want more than what was given in the little portioned cup that they provided. I'd return to Chicken & The Pig and I'd definitely try other hot dog variations and definitely get one of the chicken sandwiches.
