My mom and sister got a few old piercings re-opened and a few new ones as well. Staff are great about explaining everything and were super careful about keeping everything clean, lots of hand washing, multiple sets of gloves, everything sealed and opened in front of you. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Tip: just because they only take walk-ins (unless it's a child's appointment) does not mean there is endless availability (especially on the weekends). When we visited they only had one piercer in, and early in the day filled up their queue and had to turn some folks away. So if you're driving a distance or can't come back another time your best bet is to wait for a weekday, or on the weekends arrive when they open and be willing to kill some time around town. Calling ahead probably wouldn't hurt either.

I reached out to Maira and she was amazing...gave me options to pick another artist. I chose Dany and was really impressed by how talented and dedicated he is to his art. Arrived at 11:30 am and left at 10:30 pm... Dany worked his butt off and he put his heart and soul into my piece. It came out AMAZINGLY. I cannot thank and recommend enough Ikonik Tattoo for their love and patience. All of the people that work there are phenomenally talented artists. Don't let their tough exterior fool you once you get to know them they are great people.

Nina not only walked me through all of the options with a pricing sheet in front of me, she helped me measure what size hoop would fit my conch best (an issue I've had for YEARS and never had solved which resulted in me never having jewelry in that piercing) and talked me through why certain jewelry wouldn't work well with my anatomy! She gave me time to look through all of the options and helped whenever I needed. I explained some issues I've had with buying crappy jewelry in the past and she didn't shame me about it, but instead offered advice on how to keep my piercings healthy while not using the greatest quality jewelry until i'm able to upgrade it to better stuff in the future. While the jewelry is expensive, the quality is amazing and the pieces are beautiful. If you're going to buy real gold pieces that are going to last, you'll have to know it's going to be a bit more pricey. Regardless of this, Nina never made me feel pressured to buy anything and made me feel so comfortable the entire process. She's extremely personable and kind, and I had a great time chatting with her throughout the process. Although it was healing, it kept getting irritated and causing a red bump to come and almost go but never entirely. It turned out that the jewelry used was moving too much and was clearly too big. Initially, I was concerned that my tattoo didn't look exactly like my friends', and I asked Danny if he could take a look and possibly touch it up. Once the aftercare tape was removed, I could clearly see how great it actually looked. Danny took the time to walk me through everything, explained that he could slightly thicken the wing if I wanted, but was honest about his hesitation--he didn't want to risk affecting the healing or compromising the quality of the tattoo. My first tattoo was quoted at 650 dollars and as a heavily tattooed person I expected it to take one to two sessions. It ended up taking four sessions and over a thousand dollars. One of the sessions was never even booked so when I arrived for the third session my artist had no idea it was even happening. I gave the shop another chance for a simple line design, but the appointment started at 11 and when the artist showed up at the same time as me, we didn't start tattooing till 1.5 hours in and I left with only one boob done. I've now spent multiple days driving 5 hours total to this shop, waiting, healing, and now my tattoo that should have been done today is going to take three sessions total. The artist is personable, and I really like him and he's the only reason I was ever going to come back after the first situation but professionalism and respect for clients' time have been major issues and staff clearly could care less about peoples time or money. I personally wouldn't go here but if you feel so inclined id get the cost in writing and make sure that if the artist is slower that they don't charge you for that.
