I don't know how people are shopping here and not getting sick. Purchased two packs of chicken (chicken thighs and breast, one was Purdue, the other Price Rite brand) from here yesterday. I got home, opened them and almost threw up. The chicken was rancid! Smelled absolutely horrible and rotten. Unfortunately, I can't find my receipt so I can't return the chicken for a refund but I will no longer be shopping here. Any place that sells expired chicken can not be trusted. I went here on Saturday evening. Never, will I ever, go to this dump again! The food is expired, nothing is priced, and the the produces were rotten! And when something is priced, when you get to the register a different price rings up... What are the employees getting paid to do??? Who is the general manager of this place??? I used to like this place, and still like the store in general, but the lines have gotten WAY out of control. On three separate occasions, all on Monday evenings, the checkout lines have gotten to at least eight people long. This is absolutely NO joke. Check out the picture's I posted. It's honestly the most ridiculous thing ever. I have shopped at PriceRite in Stoughton before, and shopped at the Brockton location years and years ago, and neither of those stores have ever had a line like this. I don't understand why they are constantly understaffed (two registers just doesn't cut it!), and why they don't even have self checkout. Employees are rude, unfriendly, and some aren't even understandable. I don't also understand how anyone is hired if they cannot speak English. Prices are good, the selection is decent, and even the organization of the store is good, but if it's going to take over thirty minutes to get about ten items, I'm not going to bother. This place was good when it opened, and the maintenance of the aisles is good but the lines are worse than ridiculous. I'm honestly shocked that more people don't complain. Lots of trash in the parking lot and way too many inconveniences for me to be coming back here. Extremely disappointed with this store.... I used to like it. This grocery chain has gone down! The last 4 times that I shopped there, the lines were long. The store was empty so why are the lines so long. There was a guy in front of me with no more than 7 small items. Why was I line for 20 minutes. I am not over exaggerating! The cashiers are extremely slow! I refuse to be a loyal shopper! If they have a great sale, I will get the sale items and that is it. What happened Price Rite? read more

I really like this store. The prices are great, the store is clean, and the employee's are super friendly. I have experienced no attitudes. Not with employees or customers. Very refreshing shopping experience for once. I am glad to see a decent store where you can get a lot for your dollar and the quality of the food is high. Much much better than sav a lot and all other stores in the Boston area and I do mean all of them. When they first opened I went there to shop and I noticed a couple of "scouts" (sav a lot, tropical foods) checking out their prices. Their prices can't be beat. I even like them better than Market Basket. Bring your own bags and if you forget the bags are 0.10. They are very sturdy and reusable. I absolutely love the place. I am glad that they opened up a store in Boston and I don't have to go outside of Boston to shop there. Try to go early in the AM on a weekday (a day off) to avoid the long lines, and first pick at the fruit and produce. I will shop nowhere else now. This is My spot. No complaints honestly...food is always fresh, service with a smile (they got rid of the bad seeds.....as with any spot you've got to clean house) whenever I go I always get what I need and I'm in and out. I've lived in HP all my 40 (mumble...mumble) years. A neighbor turned me on to Price-Rite a few months back, and I've been shopping there ever since. Their produce section rocks. The quality, selection, and prices are great. And Kim P. is right: they do stock a bunch of healthy foods (ground turkey, Chobani yogurt, soy milk, etc) that I normally associate with earthy-crunchy ($$$) health food stores in Brookline. My god, they even have naan! The store is clean and well-organized. The produce section can get a bit hectic, but on the whole, aisles are easy to navigate. There's also plenty of parking. Definitely bring your own shopping bags -- I keep a stash in the car, now -- and remember to grab a cart before you come in. It's true that check-out lines can be long. I assume that as their customer-base grows, management will hire more cashiers. This store may not carry every item on my list (whaaaat? no whole-wheat bagels??) -- but at these prices, you know what? I'm cool. Thanks, Price-Rite. This townie is sold! read more

This is my favorite grocery store. I shop here alot most of my food comes from here. The produce is fresh. Prices are much cheaper than the other local grocery stores. It's a busy store I go knowing I may have to wait in line. For me it's worth it! I don't plan on buying one thing and in and out quickly. The Employees are helpful. Recently they moved everything around all of the Isles a different now. They cleaned up the place. Made the isles wider and easier to navigate. There's room for changes, the space to wait in line could be worked on. Though I have seen all registers in use and still long lines. This store is busy and well liked. read more

Great store my interactions with staff are always friendly and helpful. Clean store, items orderly but sometimes items may move to a different spot or isle especially if its a special purchase/featured item. They have a lot of great brand names items at around 25-50% off from Shaws and Stop and Shop like Talenti Gelato is $3.49 pint at Price Rite and $5.99 at Stop shop! Price rite doesn't accept coupons because the food is already discounted. They don't carry nearly any specialty or high end items but I wouldn't expect them too, in other words they don't cater to special diets but a great store to save some money. read more

So I went shopping 2 days ago and this morning I decided to peal an orange for my child what I found inside was disturbing...it was all black. The outside of it looked and felt fresh but could of fooled me. This was the 3rd time I had to return food because of this reason. I had grapes go bad after 3 days of having them. And every time I tried to shop here (for certain things)they never have anything. But after this I'm done...I guess it's true u get what u pay for. This place is alright if you want to save some money on your grocery bill. You probably won't find everything on your shopping list & it's one of those stores where you have to walk down every single aisle because items aren't in any specific order. If you go here & don't want to run into ignorant people (or should I say have them run into you with their shopping carts) I recommend you go before noon. Don't expect excellent customer service because all of the cashiers are hood & seem angry. I go here only because it's close to my job & has 80% of what I'll need for dinner. read more
