The overall layout is easy to navigate, and it never feels cramped despite the large number of products available. One of the first things I noticed was how inviting the front of the store is. The fresh produce, colorful flower displays, and bakery create a great first impression, and the quality continues throughout the rest of the store. There is a wide selection of meats, seafood, specialty cheeses, organic products, and local items, making it easy to find both everyday groceries and more unique ingredients. Everything felt well stocked and neatly organized, which made shopping much more efficient. The prepared foods section is one of the biggest reasons I like stopping here. Do not eat from the Hot Bar!!!!!! It is disgustingly and staff isn't checking temperatures frequently enough yo ensure food safety. The chicken is lukewarm warm and that was right at 12 when they just put it out. They still had breakfast food out that had been sitting there for hours. They actually outsource the hit bar items from a third party company and just heat them up And charge $12 a pound. I have been shopping at this store since it opened. It used to be amazing. Over the past few years it just seems to keep going downhill, good quality, selection and hardly any staff. Even the produce isn't what it used to be. Even the flower department has gotten skimpy. They used to have such beautiful bouquets. There used to be so much staff in each department to answer questions about any product. Now it's just like any other supermarket but with a gross hot bar It's like they stripped the store of anything that made it special. Like many other Whole Food markets, this one in Dedham is clean, bright and well stocked. I went in to get some Italian sodas for a friend who loved their selection of flavors. The produce section and their seafood section were also very nicely setup. I like that you can stop at Whole Foods and get some really cool, fancy items that you can't get somewhere else to spruce up a get together or a picnic. Lots of parking around here. read more

Ate dinner here the other day when in town for business. The hot bar and salad bar here is outstanding presented even near closing. Everything is clean, well presented. I could eat here every day and not be tired of the food. The desserts and cookies are all time. Go for the kahlua and key lime cheesecake.......thank me later. I love the desserts at Whole Foods! I drive all the way to this one rather than the one in Weymouth. This one is much bigger and better. Especially the hot food and salad bar. I love it here. My favorite is the cabbage with garlic. Omg it's to die for! It's in a huge plaza too so you can walk around if you feel like it. A few outdoor seats. Workers are always helpful and friendly. It's obviously pricey and I don't do my main shopping here but I always love to drop in here and there. read more

CAN NOT STAND THE STAFF THAT WORKS HERE NOW!!!!!! in the last couple of years they have hired a bunch of people that are beyond rude and ignorant and need to get lost! The original few that still work here since the store opened, are amazing. The recent employment has gone down hill BIG TIME and needs to get audited. I have been a loyal customer since day 1 and don't go there anymore because of this staff that clearly has been hired by the same person only Hiring their type of people! Whole Foods do better!!!! I am not the only one that feels This way either - many loyal customers have complained as well! Once a great place to shop has now become a place full of miserable, arrogant, down right RUDE employees that look like they're doing you a favor being there. They don't greet you, say thank you or pay attention cause they're too busy talking in their language to their coworkers. I will be taking my business elsewhere. If you wanna feel like you're getting a bougie shopping experience, Whole Foods should be on your list. Where else can one feel like a millennial social media influencer whilst browsing shelves for organic bushels of brussels sprouts or heirloom rainbow carrots? The Dedham store provided an excellent diversion when I had to kill time before a recent Elite Event at the neighboring Muse Paint Bar, and like its South End sister store, there's plenty of fun to be had, sifting through scads of fresh pressed juices, vegan cheeses, and of course, the crown jewel: the food bar area! They've got everything you need for a quick lunch or dinner to go, from rolled-to-order sushi to a chicken wing bar with several dipping sauce choices. Impressive. Even though the store is sparkling clean, though, the bathrooms leave a lil' bit to be desired. The ladies' room was a toilet paper extravaganza, and the floors were wet and slippery. Not what I'd expect from a store that seems to pride itself on a high quality holistic shopping experience. Eek. We ordered a fully cooked turkey dinner for 12 and aside from two side dishes missing the turkey was too frozen to be reheated. Nothing in the website description, the order itself, the confirmation email nor the reheating instructions indicated that the turkey would be anything but ready to reheat in the oven. It wasn't even close I called Whole Foods corporate customer service and they suggested soaking the turkey in cold water for 6-8 hours. Unfortunately by this time our guests were arriving in less than 2 hours. So I called the local store in Dedham, MA, where I placed the order and they suggested briefly using hot water to thaw the turkey but they didn't have an alternative solution to the problem. That didn't work either and by now it was less than 1 hour to go. So I put the turkey in a plastic bag and drove back to the store. It was only when I demanded my money back, standing in the middle of the main entrance by the customer service desk and showed them the dripping, half frozen mess I was dealing with that they finally acquiesced and exchanged the whole turkey for 4 cooked turkey breasts. This finally worked. 24 hours later on Christmas night, I began to have abdominal cramps, a fever and chills consistent with salmonella poisoning. This eventually subsided by the next day but not until I spent the whole night in pain and vomiting. It's now three days later and I still haven't recovered completely. In summary, it was a total disaster. It's hard to imagine how it could have gone much worse except if I had been truly left with nothing to feed my family on Christmas Eve. But it's more than enough for me to never considering using Whole Foods catering service again. Feel free to contact me. I have pictures. read more

Always shop at Whole Foods especially this location and really enjoy walking the aisles and seeing how great the food displays are and how enticing the Pastry Section is! Very impressive and have purchased many a dessert delight from this counter! BUT! And this is a BUT!!! Recently purchased a carrot cake for Guests and as impressive as it was to delve into one of our favorites, not until we were enjoying this sweet treat.....we found not One, BUT A COUPLE HAIRS IN THE FROSTING. Not only was it visible but it the carrot color orange frosting was on top of the cream cheese frosting. It was part of the cake not just resting on top. YUCK! Extremely disappointed and extremely shocked! The possibility that hair coverings not used or hair from a facial hair or head just landed on the cake and they frosted it over it and not noticing. Let's say that Whole Foods would say it's an isolated event or a new employee was recently hired in the pastry section and was not as METICULOUS in hygiene. Things happen yes but we expect much more from Whole Foods. We decided to rethink seriously about purchasing another Baked items there. This rating is just for their bakery-made sourdough bread. I had to return a loaf that was very flat and hard. It wasn't made correctly They need to get a good starter to begin with which will give the bread a real sourdough taste. Also, why was it so flat? It appeared not to have risen. The recipe needs to be improved upon and the bakers need to know more about making sourdough bread. read more

I'm pretty basic, but when it comes to Whole Foods, I won't even pretend not to be a huge fan. Just being in a WF makes me happy. The ambiance, health options, diverse selections, and even the smell just really works for me on so many levels. I was thrilled to find this while we were in the area because I have been scouting around for awhile for JUST brand liquid egg replacer. It's a vegan egg alternative which pours and scrambles just like eggs, and I was dying to try for hubby who has super high cholesterol. Not only did I find that, but I found countless other egg and dairy replacements, all of which we have since tasted, and with which we were very pleased. The produce section was well-lit and well-stocked, and I loved their huge wine and cheese section, including a cool little cheese monger cave. I opted to take them up on a custom sando for me and hubby, and was thrilled to see that they offered vegan mayo and many other vegan options even at the sandwich bar. We also tried out the custom coffee bar, and had a pour over and a chai with oat milk, both of which were very good. After that, we tried some pastries from the bakery counter, and those were ok but not super great because the pumpkin spice items in the case made everything else taste vaguely like spice. Overall, this WF was one of the best I've been to in the past year or two, with plentiful convenient parking, friendly employees, and was super clean and well stocked across the whole store. On September 10, 2022 Saturday around noon. I went Wholefood located at Legacy Place, Dedham, MA for shopping wine. I bought 3 bottles same wine and checked out at the last cashier desk next to self pay area (also this cashier desk is the closest to the eating area) . I paid in cash. I found out soon the female cashier charged me the price of 5 bottles. I went to customer service and got refund of 2 bottle. I am not sure this female cashier did in purpose or she was absent-minded. Anyway, I would like to remind everyone here be careful when you pay, double check your receipt especially when you pay in cash. read more

I have been going to Whole Foods in Dedham since it opened and I hate to see what's happening to the store. A lot of produce is sold in plastic packages now and it's not fresh. I have opened bags of green beans and had to return them along with strawberries (nor packaged) but most of the berries were not worth buying. It's such a disappointment to see that happen to what was truly a 'whole foods' store. read more

I wish this Whole Foods was better. It's the one that Amazon Prime automatically does my grocery shopping from, and I wish I could pick another location. Their Deli department does not know how to cut Charcuterie. No matter how often I ask, or how insistent I am, their meats are always sliced thick and uneven. I have literally never been to any other store that does such a poor job of slicing deli meats and cheese so consistently. No one wants thick slices of Salami and Prosciutto. It makes for a horrible sandwich - and when paying $12/lb it's just insulting. Cupcakes are always stale, too. read more

All right we already know about whole foods and how expensive it was but since the Amazon acquisition the prices of have become incredibly competitive. The good news about the Dedham location is that I don't have to pay five cents a paper bag like in Boston and I don't mean to be miserly but considering this has competitor pricing, I am seriously counting my pennies especially when everything is something point 99 cents. I do love Wholefoods not because of the whole foods itself but they do have very excellent quality wines and cheeses and they have bulk pricing. In addition, their meat and seafood selections is quite superior. As for pricing, they do have the best deals on salmon which is $9.99 per pound. They also have really excellent meat sales deals so look out for them even if you weren't plan on having a particular meat selection for the evening. This is how I cook...I cook according to what they have on sale. No problems here. Do not recommend coming here to get basic things like pasta because they are pricey for a very cheap item. But their baked goods are great and fresh I just really like being here. Also, they do have tastings in each department. read more

This review is for the fish dept. at the Dedham Whole Foods so I can't speak for other Whole Foods locations. Fresh fish shouldn't have a strong, pungent odor. The first time: The clerk wrapped up the salmon and I placed it in the carriage. As I was shopping, I noticed a pretty strong offensive fish odor coming from the carriage. I returned the package to the fish counter. The second try: Again, I purchased salmon. I got home and when I unwrapped the package the odor was overpowering. I returned the fish. Whole Foods is terrific about returns but I won't buy fish from this location anymore. Fresh fish should only have a mild smell and not a strong fishy odor. This is concerning because it happened both times I shopped at the fish dept. This raises the question as to whether their fish is really fresh. read more

He says that when you grow up eating organic products, then switch to "regular" products, you can taste the difference. Anyways, this review is for the pizza place inside the store, (conveniently located near a outdoor mall), and how awesomely cheap it was for a large pizza slice. Almost reminded me of Costco! Taste was delicious, mainly because they heat it up for you right then and there in their oven, so you get it nice and hot. Yum. I ordered the MARGHERITA, VEGGIE, and MEDITERRANEAN pizza. So yummy!! Carelessness during pandemic. During a busy time, which is usually mitigated by someone at the door balancing incoming customers with ones leaving, the store was overcrowded. The managers solution, as I was waiting in line with every other checkout lane open, was to open all checkout lanes, forcing people within inches of eachother, as every line is now paired with another line right next to it. I spoke with a supervisor after paying and they sorta fluffed me off, pretending to limit people at the door until I left. The ironic sing song praise of Whole Foods social distancing efforts/ reminder to customers over the speakers every so often was particularly eye-brow raising. Its hard enough dealing with ignorant individuals who regard the pandemic as a hoax. The same ignorance coming from any sort of institution is pretty infuriating. This WF is the best I've ever been in. The hot bar is always fresh with so many great things to eat. The buffalo wings are dangerously good, I can't stop eating them. Their pizza is amazing, from the plain to the pepperoni the the everything slice. Their meat department is also amazing. They make their own sausages in store so they are always fresh. Went to see a movie at the cinema de lux. We were hungry so we decided to get whole foods hot bar. They had a great selection of pizza and 9:29 at night i was hungry i got the smoke meatball and peppers which was delicious. Me and my girlfriend got the gelato shakes which you have the option to choose your milk. I got the strawberry gelato and it was out of this world. I also got the half white half black cookies they are to die for i gained 20 lbs but in a organic way. The simple things here make you feel welcome. I was invited to their pre-opening tour and here's some of what i learned, was reminded of and/or thought was cool: This WF is 60,000 sq ft, the biggest in New England. It is the first store in MA to generate on-site power with fuel cell technology. They have tons of wines. They have yummy cheeses. They sell "little ladd's" popcorn from maine and i am addicted. they have indoor and outdoor seating if you want to eat/rest there. They strive to provide local food options and support local farms etc. They sell suki products for face and body!!! There is a lot of parking (spaces and garage but this shopping center will be busy so who knows). read more

The store is huge and clean with a lot of variety and a lot of shoppers. Some staffs need more training especially those who are supposed to help customer self checkout though. My prime payment couldn't go through, the first cashier shrugged off telling me it didn't work then disappeared. The second one tried to help but don't know what was going on either. Then she took me to customer service which made me hopeful. After multiple rescan and retry it is still not working, all explanations I got was that sometime the system works sometime it doesn't. Problem was reported. Feel so weird with such experience in a WHOLEFOOD store, so indifferent. Anyway after scans/rescans my puff pastry was a mess. This location is pretty large and I really like their alcohol section. They were one of the first to carry the Spencer Trappist Ale when it first came out, and it was expensive but great! They couldn't keep it in stock, it was so popular. I'm not used to the set up of this location at all. I went around a few times to find everything I wanted but I think I still missed some things as the store is so large. Got some really yummy "go nuts, go!" chocolate almond butter. I haven't seen it at the other Whole Foods I frequent but I'll be sure to ask at the locations I normally go to because this is going to be a regular on my shopping list. Also got some cinnamon sugar toast cereal, reminiscent of the GMO General Mills cereal, but the Whole Foods brand one is organic and has way better ingredients - even yummier than its competitor! Purchased some Olga's nasal inhalers on sale for $3.99, normally $5.99, as well as Ricola cough drops and some Vanilla Eco Lips organic lip scrub. You really can't go wrong with the quality items at WF, as long as you know what you're looking for and know what is a good price. Never greet you and always have a horrible attitude. They know nothing about how to ensure customers have a good experience especially when unhappy with the product quality. They never say sorry or smile. Just not a good experience and why I will avoid shopping here for a lot of products I can get at Costco, Trader Joe's or other grocery stores. Not my usual experience at WF's just this one. They need to retrain their workers here. Amazing thing ... it's just like any other Whole Foods ... but BIGGER ! Verrry Niiice ! They actually do have some interesting things here: Kombucha, a fermented, non-alcoholic tea beverage is on tap here ... clean, palate cleansing sour flavor (vinegar tones), not overly sweet, ginger and berry flavors, would go well with sushi. A very knowledgeable cheese-monger, in a walk-in cheese room. Also, in the "Fromagerie", they have artisan salumi (the italian name for charcuterie, thank you Meat Lady). The seafood department has extremely fresh looking fish, and varieties that are hard to find (whole fresh sardines, for one). Huge selection of chocolates, love at first sight. Good local and microbrew beer selection. Very large wine selection. One thing that stood out was the bulk foods section. They have a large selection of whole grains, dried fruits, nuts, beans, spices, etc. that are priced very reasonably priced per pound, and hard to find elsewhere. These types of specialty, high quality items are what I will shop here for. I really have very little interest in the overpriced staples (cereals, canned goods, detergents). read more
