My wife and I went into here to get matching tattoos to commemorate our 30th wedding anniversary. Jordan did our tattoos and was great. What was not so great was the attitude we got when we arrived , like we were an annoyance, and also even worse when I set my 200 dollar sunglasses down on the counter during the consultation and then left them there while Jordan was giving us our tattoos. As soon as I left I realized I forgot and went back to get them 2 minutes later. I was told by the staff at the front that they didn't have them so left. After thinking about it that night I realized I definitely left them there so went back to ask again. When I arrived I was told by two staff members at the front that they didn't have them. When I questioned further, another staff member came out and asked if they were "spy" sunglasses and I said yes. He told me to hold on and went in back. He came out and said one of their staff members took them home with him and they were in his car but he was busy and we should come back the next day. I told them I was flying out in 2 hours. They told me to come back which I did and they then when I went back they gave them to me. I asked to talk to the owner Pete to express our disappointment that his staff would steal from a paying customer.When he came out he was very unapologetic and his response was....."what's the big deal? You got them back." I said I had to come back here three times to get them and he again said," so what? You have them back now. " I couldn't believe that was the attitude he gave us after the two of us paying almost 400 dollars for tattoos here. The other guy at the front had the same attitude, why are you mad - you have them back now. Jordan did say that he couldn't believe that the staff member did that and was super apologetic. The owner could not care less. So customers be very aware, they have very dishonest staff working here. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. And if you do go there, don't leave anything laying around. Our last day of holidays was completely ruined. We recorded the entire exchange. Unbelievable. This place should be called liars and thieves. We are not at all complainers or "Karens" but this experience was simply unbelievable and definitely brought out the worst in us on our last day of our 30th anniversary trip. read more

I walked in last Friday and requested a fairly simple tattoo (three words in small script.) I was a little surprised by the price based on I have two other tattoos that are more detailed and cost less, but the guy I spoke with explained that most places in Nashville start at $125, so I decided to just go for it since I'd already been to two other tattoo shops and they were not able to fit me in (as a walk in) Jordan did my tattoo and he was very nice. He explained why the size of script I wanted would not look good in future years, and convinced me to place the tattoo in another location where I would feel more comfortable with the size. He understood how scared I was so he was patient with me and made me feel comfortable. Luckily it only took 5 minutes (if that?) so I got through it!! It came out perfect! read more

The service here is excellent. When I walked in I was greeted, asked my name, and talked w/ the owner and an artist, Jordan, about my idea. While I was waiting for my turn in the chair I got to listen to how a number of customers were received at the desk of the shop. Everyone was greeted warmly and asked if they had any questions and how they could be helped. There's an obvious effort here to make people feel comfortable and welcome and it does not go unnoticed! I came in w/ an idea for a coffee cup design from a flash sheet I saw online. Jordan saw the idea I came with and had a few ideas of his own about how to dress it up. He did a PHENOMENAL job and I couldn't be happier w/ the way it turned out. I will definitely be back for future work. read more

My daughter and I decided last minute to get a tattoo before we left Nashville. So after reading yelp reviews and photo gallery we decided on P&G. We walked in at 5 pm on a Friday and was greeted by a wonderful tattoo artist who listened to what we each want. He went in the back and came back out after a few minutes with a few drawings. After we made a few changes, we were walked into his back room and watched him clean the area and prep( liked knowing everything was clean and new). This was my daughters first one and he talked to her and made it easy. I was impressed with how quickly he was able to complete them, we walked out at 6pm. As we walked out I realized I never got his name to put in the review, that would be the one down side of our experience. The only reason I could not give them 5 stars was bc the place did not have central air conditioning and it was hot. They did have fans and potable air conditioners but they just did not keep it cool. read more

My sister and I were staying across the street when we were visiting. I was super stoked to come to Pride and Glory because of the reviews and obviously the convenience. The moment we walked in the guy behind the desk was a grump. We walked in to ask a simple question and he yelled at me for bringing in alcohol. I completely understand that alcohol is not allowed. I'm just used to where I'm from where alcohol is a part of the tourists experience and when I have to tell someone they can't bring alcohol in I'm a tad more understanding. I kindly stepped outside so my sister could ask the question. We had come back to our room one day and decided we wanted to get a tattoo that day. She had called to see what the wait time was and to see if we could add ourselves to the wait over the phone or if we needed to be there in person. The guy on the phone hung up after the first question so we decided to go to a tattoo shop on Broadway instead and had a way better experience than we did here at Pride and Glory. read more

I had been wanting some script so a while but I hadn't found a place I liked, until I found this shop. I can in as a walk in and I was greeted by Pete who was very friendly asking what I wanted to get done and it only took about 10ish minutes to get everything ready. They helped me find the font I wanted and size and how thick I wanted the lettering. The place is nice and clean. Evan did my tattoo, he was very friendly and comfortable to be around. These guys are amazing! We were visiting Nashville from out of state and I called ahead and said there's 7 of us wanting tattoos the owner (can't remember his name) said no problem come on by. One of the women in our group was getting her first tattoo and her artist did an amazing job of making her feel comfortable and giving her exactly what she wanted. I was getting a piece to match one that was existing on the other side of my shoulder and two on my wrists. Jordan did my tattoos and not only was he able to match the existing one but he did a much better job than the original. He listened and consulted with me throughout the process. I went in asking for a simple semicolon tattoo on my finger. I ended up with a BACKWARDS semicolon. I told the artist Chris that it was messed up and he was not concerned about it and didn't try to make it better at all. He wouldn't own up to his mistake, and blew me off as if it were my fault he tattooed it backwards. If he messed up a simple symbol like that, I would hate to think what a larger more complicated piece would turn out like. I do not recommend them at all. AJ did a wonderful job of taking my rough idea and transforming it into the custom design which, up until now, existed only in my head. I was a walk-in, but AJ spent a good amount of time with me...we looked at images on line to help me describe my vision, then we looked at technique in his portfolio to zero in on the look. I spent the day in town talking to locals about area tat shops. Hands down, Pride & Glory came highly recommended. Super-clean, upscale studio; very friendly and courteous staff... Our girls trip included a last minute tattoo, after visiting another shop in Nashville that left us discouraged and feeling limited with "shop policy size requirements", we gave it another shot with Pride and Glory.... beyond happy we did! Just wanted my wedding flower, a daisy, on my shoulder. Evan designed the perfect daisy for me. I love it. Had a chance to go back to Nashville from SF this month. My daisy was so lonely that I just had to go see Evan for an add on. My daisy looks amazing alongside two other flowers and stems. I so recommend Pride and Glory. They were able to quickly draw up our ideas and were very accommodating, especially with our friend who was getting her first tattoo hahaha. A bunch of cool and chill guys working here too. My wife and I wanted to get tattoos to celebrate our trip to Nashville for our tenth anniversary during CMA Fest. We went to another tattoo shop on 2nd Street and asked about what we wanted, and were quoted an ASTRONOMICAL price. The other shop tried to tell us that the quality and professionalism in their shop was worth the price they'd quoted for a couple very simple tattoos... We ended up walking out and looking for another shop. We found Pride and Glory and when we went in I was pretty direct in asking about the price after describing what we wanted - which is not how I typically operate. Not only was the staff pleasant, but they were down to earth, and quoted us what we knew was a reasonable price. We got set up with our artists, Jordan and Jacob, and they were both friendly and professional - and it turned out that they were both quite suited to mark our bodies forever with what are important tattoos to us. Straight lines, line thickness, and perfect placement are important in a simple tattoo, because there's nowhere to hide bad work on a simple tattoo. You can't shade away a crooked line when there's not supposed to be any shading. You can adjust the angle of a tattoo if it ends up in the wrong spot. They both nailed it - and we saved almost two hundred dollars. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our tattoos or our experience with Pride and Glory. The staff was professional, we didn't have to wait forever, the price was right on, the shop was clean and friendly, and should we ever return to Nashville and want to get more ink - we won't waste our time by going ANYWHERE else.
