Regret trusting this business and it will cost me to fix their mistakes. Took in my MacBook Pro for a keyboard replacement (keyboard was not working due to a bit of water on the keys). For work, I do video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design-- so this MacBook is a very powerful (and EXPENSIVE) machine. To start with the "forgivable" issues, Tyler told me my Mac would be ready on a Thursday, but there was a 4 day delay due to shipping and holiday hours; my issue with this is that Tyler did not inform me of the delay which resulted in me having to borrow a computer at work with little notice on Monday morning. I stressed at the start of the project that progress reports were important to me because of work, so when I called at the EOD on Thursday and was met with an extremely rude attitude from him, it was clear he did not care. EOD Monday when it was ready for pick up, I was shocked at the issues. For one, he charged me $50 more in labor than I agreed to at the start of the project. I asked him why and he said because he thought it would take him 1 hour and it took him 3. It was the first time hearing of an hourly charging system from Pride. Second he replaced and installed the keyboard bezel in the wrong color (without informing me/asking me). He told me it was because he couldn't find the correct color online. The next morning I called another local tech repair shop that found the correct color in less than 3 minutes and told me they would never install the wrong color panel on someone's machine without calling and informing them. Last issue-- this repair by Pride damaged my speakers; there is terrible static buzz that I know wasn't there before (I work with sound everyday). Considering I do video editing, this is a HUGE new issue for me; I present projects over my Macbook very often so this is something I will have to repair. Not to mention the clear/visual cosmetic flaw in having a silver keyboard bezel/panel when the rest of Macbook is dark space grey. When I told Tyler that these issues reduce the value of my Mac, his response was "the value was already reduced when you broke the keyboard". (The large gap to the left and top of the trackpad is the cherry on top). The way I was treated by him throughout this repair reflects the complete disregard for customers and deliverables. Lastly, they are refusing a refund. I'm not sure the word "pride" is used in it's intended context.

Excellent - Great people. They are super knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and always helpful, no matter how big or small the problem.

Just wanted to put out an update on my previous review about Geeks on Repair…read more Today the owner of the company tried to intimidate me by sending me the following text chain Owner: you have him a bottle of water? Look at all the work you wanted that poor man to do. Look at all the work he did. We have your email chains and texts and pictures as proof. We're not the scumbag you are!! After we were nice enough to dropped your bill you go bad mouth us? What is wrong with you? You contacted us, we didn't contact you. You see we do this kind of work because we do TV and Home Theatre installed but when we arrive you wanted tech to go out and do shopping for you like he's your concierge. You wanted tech to do things outside the scope of work. You can stop now we will take you to court not only for the disputed amount that we were nice to take off, but also for defamation. This is how you treat us AFTER we kneel down to your demands of no pay for the service and amount you had agreed upon in writing prior to our arrival? Me: I guess I am not getting an apology Owner: If an apology will stop your online attacks against me and my company I can give you one but my company is my livelihood and truly feel we did everything I could do to make an unhappy customer happy that day. And Again, be reasonable. It was many hours of tech being on the job that you really don't need to mention anyone since I gave those hours back and you did not pay for them after I applied the discount you had asked for. Me: You just don't get it. I don't feel an apology would be genuine since you don't get it and continue to try to intimidate me. You shouldn't be in business if this is how you run your organization Owner: Your spiteful. I have nothing more to say to you. I believe you are working with someone to try to attack my company.

A client needed a server at one time so I decided to have Tim build it for a variety of reasons. Two requirements included a DVD RW drive for making back ups, and two hard drives configured for RAID 1. Overall the server was well put together, but a couple of issues arose. First, the optical drive was defective (it wouldn't write), so I requested a replacement that I installed. Tim, for some reason, was not at all pleased about this, even though I had relieved him of the chore of swapping it out. His remarks would violate the rules pertaining to this review. Secondly, he had not properly configured the RAID 1 drives. They showed up as C and D drives instead of a single C drive. When I attempted to explain this he became argumentative, making it clear he would not accept that anything was incorrect. I reinstalled the OS myself, following instructions from Microsoft, and succeeded in completing the task correctly. As a result of this less than satisfactory experience I haven't returned. Tim has clearly managed quite well without my business, but I know I'm not the only former customer who's moved on to other vendors. I offer this as sincere constructive criticism, and leave it up to Tim to accept it or not...
