I love Prima DC! This is one of the cutest and chic lounges I found in DC ! It's right across from the 930 club in DC. Prima is located on the 2nd floor and District sports is on the lower level. More importantly, the owners Bethel and Matt are a joy to partner with! I recently partnered with Prima DC for a Thursday happy hour event . Throughout the whole planning process, they were in communication, customized my needs and understand bringing people together! Where else in DC can you find a classy happy hour that starts at 6pm and ends at 10pm???? Where else is there a covered patio ??? From the decor, to the couch, hookah, dj. Drinks, and bar food. I can't wait to go back!

Location is nearly directly across from the 930 club, next to the gas station. There is also a small parking garage across the street for $20 Upstairs area (so be prepared to walk up via a skinny stairwell). The food is apparently prepared from the restaurant below. They also have hookah. Good. The Bartenders were the best part of the whole experience. They were so nice, patient, helpful and sociable!!! I had the Beehive drink and it was so refreshing!!! Chairs/couches were plush and comfortable. There was also an outdoor rooftop area. It was kind of warm inside. Bathrooms are single stalls and in a tight area by the stairwell Dope music Playlist and live DJ. At times, the music got too loud and I couldn't really hear over everyone I was talking to. There's games to play (UNO, Jenga, etc.) so you could really hang out with friends, play games, chat, drink, and smoke hookah. All in one stop! Had a good time at this business and I will be back!!

We came for an adult spelling bee and it was so much fun. Great vibe great host great people. The drinks were okay I wouldn't pay the amount I'm paying for the portions that I'm getting a green tea shot is usually halfway in a glass they charge like $7 for a watered down green tea shot in an actual shot glass not worth it. The food was good the fries sadly weren't hot but it took so long we at them our second order of fries and wings was so much better and it was hot ! Overall the place is super nice you could potentially host a private event here with your friends and it would be perfect they also have a little back area that's nice when you need to catch a breath.

This is one of my favorite little lounge spots in the city. They're open from Thursday to Sunday and its a great ambiance and vibe due to its dim lighting, r&b and hip-hop playlists, and its modern decor. You walk in up the stairs and there's the main bar with a couple tv's behind it and several couches and sofa chairs surrounding. They also have a nice side patio area as well. The overall location itself is convenient just off the main stretch of the u street corridor across from the 9:30 club. Service here is usually flawless the bartenders are very attentive and engaging, and as a bonus they make very good drinks. They also have a solid hookah selection and a few food items as well. So if you're looking for a simple spot for a low-key date night, a spot to meet up to start your night, or simply just gathering a few friends together, I highly recommend checking them out.

If I could give NO star I would. I'm here now and have been for about 45 mins. It's extremely slow and the bartender has only been over once to give me a menu. She stated that she would be back in a couple of minutes and have yet to return. Instead, I've watched her pour shots for her friends and neglect the other patrons who are not seated at the bar and not her friends. Extremely rude and unprofessional'n

I was happy to come by and check out this new spot in the city. I was curious to see what this lounge had to offer. Here are some thoughts: Environment Prima might be hard to miss if it weren't for a sign on the door that leads you upstairs to a cozy intimate space filled with plenty of seating, a bar and an outside area for the cooler evenings. They also have a larger bar/restaurant downstairs (didn't get a chance to check it out). The vibe was set as soon as you enter the space - music playing, bar active and conversation flowing through out the venue. While you're treating yourself to a drink they also have a variety of games you can play from mancala to jenga to uno etc. The space is small and seems to be great place for happy hour. I would love to see what its like during a packed night. I will also say that it gets really warm in the space with a lot of people - i was lucky enough to have a seat at the bar right next to the ac but that could be an issue if a ton of people are there. Overall the space was nice and casual and a great place for drinks. Service The bartenders were all great and attentive and made sure that I had what I needed. They were friendly and personable and had great energy for the space. They also controlled the playlist for that evening and didn't disappoint. Food and Drinks Didn't get a chance to try all of the food but there were a few options. The chicken tenders were okay. Nothing special - lives up to the usual bar food expectation. The wings were pretty good especially the garlic parmesan. I would definitely come back for those. The drinks were pretty good. I tried the smokey sunset that was good and refreshing and I also purchased my own old fashion that were solid for a lounge. Overall We had a good time at Prima Lounge. The space was comfortable and cozy and seemed like it would be a good time for an evening out or an happy hour. The food was fine and the drinks were solid. I would definitely visit again with friends.

Very instagramable hookah lounge that offers indoor/outdoor seating. Good and drinks were very tasty. I recommend the garlic parm wings .

Of course, crab fries & old bay wings to go.

The purple neon lighting creates this sultry, intimate atmosphere without being overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you can actually connect, laugh, and still feel like you're outside living. The music was a vibe. Smooth R&B blended with some Jamaican flavor and nostalgic cuts that made the room feel alive. It wasn't chaotic; it was curated. The sound set the tone without overpowering the experience. What stood out most was how comfortable the space felt. Beautiful crowd, welcoming energy, and that perfect balance between lounge and nightlife. It's not just somewhere you go to be seen; it's somewhere you go to feel good. Perfect first stop for my DC weekend. I'd absolutely return.

Came here with my a couple of my homies for a quick drink and this place is too cute. Small but spacious, dimly lit but not eerie or creepy and the bartender is NOT shy with the pours. Music was some early 2k r&b (who doesnt love that?) and its just... vibey! I know sometimes men can feel a little put off by women being in their space, lesbian or not, which I completely understand, but we felt welcomed! Two gentlemen even offered for us to sit at their table - so sweet. Even the security guards were sweeties so I can definitely see myself returning on a random night.

Shortly after, Chris came over, introduced himself, and he was such a pleasure to have as our server. He started us off with drinks we enjoyed, and we had a great time chatting with him. We told him we were celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week and a graduation this weekend. We sampled the crab soup, and it was a major hit -- so good that we ended up ordering two cups! Chris also recommended the apple crisp dessert and OMG... it was absolutely delicious. We left with smiles, full tummies, and excellent service. We decided to stay and check it out, @1pm on a Sunday. Brunch is from 11a-4pm. There was only 1 other person for brunch, when we arrived. There was a DJ was that playing super loud music. Mostly rap music. The food was good. Fresh salad, fruit, meats etc. Unlimited mimosas was $25 per person. We could only order 1 flavor at a time, which there was about 8 flavors. They were good By 3pm, the place was more so filling up. What was crazy was at 4pm, the workers started breaking down the buffet-- quickly!! A group that had arrived @ 3 were caught off guard that brunch was ending. The workers did provide everyone with TAKE HOME Boxes, so we filled our boxes as fast as they were breaking it down lol Hookah guy arrived, think it was a total of $68. The hookah was good Gratuity is automatically included. Our waitress was GREAT! Only thing I didn't like, the place had her walking around in a tight leopard body suit, with her arms out, like this was the Playboy mansion. It was cold in there. I would come back for brunch - just know, there was not a mention of a Buffet brunch online
