I know the people that call your name don't care what your name is, but I guess I just think they should fake it a little better. I blame Ochsner itself, because the people who work there apparently don't consider it part of their job to call people the right names. It makes it clear that you're not trustworthy when you start out our interaction by calling me the wrong name when my preferred name is right there on the form. And, so, maybe that's good, knowing right off the bat that you aren't to be trusted or believed. If that was your goal, mission accomplished. Ochsner, please train your employees properly.

The frustration is unreal on my end, I had communicated multiple times with the staff prior to my appointment and it would have been great to know prior to the appointment that they wouldn't take my insurance. Staff showed zero concern or fault for it either, they just asked who I spoke to (which was different people via email, so they could have looked in their system). We are a military family without friends/family to help with childcare. My ability as a stay at home mom to see a doctor is extremely difficult and involves my husband having to take off work to stay with kids. So an entire afternoon was taken off by my husband so I could attend this appointment, all for nothing.

I am sure there were tons of germs in the room. I can't be the only one that noticed these things. People come to the emergency with all kinds of illnesses and diseases. I saw a woman with 3 kids in the waiting room with some kind of respiratory illness that seemed to be contagious as all of them were sick, I am glad we got a room before that family came in, otherwise my husband and myself might have caught what they have. they should have been taken to a room when they arrived so they could not spread what they had. This is the closest ER to our house. If there is a next time we will go the Ochsner.

He never addressed this with me again, nor the issues I complained about. Instead of helping me find a new GP when Dr Crawford unceremoniously left his position without offering me refills of my life-saving medicine, the secretary Desma said "Well, you missed an appointment, that's why he left, you gonna have to wait till August". I promptly called someone else not named Desma & they got me an appointment the very next day with a NP. Not that this helped-- The LCMC affiliated clinic REFUSED to see my supplemental insurance while demanding a copay to be seen. Found 2 doctors- WHO SPECIALIZE IN MY ISSUE- in Ochsner's network with availability this month. LCMC is a farce and you evidently need only have a room temp IQ to work here.

I was in the waiting room for less than 5 minutes before all of us were called to get help. Nurse practitioner looked at my arm and got me an ice pack for my knee. The doctor came by briefly to talk to me about my pain. X-ray tech came and took X-rays. We waited about 15 minutes before the doctor came and put a splint on.
