I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!

I have a very old AC unit that's in the attic and I wasn't very optimistic but after about an hour of working on it Alex got it working again by replacing a fan and installing a new thermostat that was compatible with new part. He has to work hard as it was warm that day and probably 90 degrees on the attic . Alex was very professional and personable. Price was incredibly fair . I would recommend and I will use Alex and his company again.

We ended up putting an access hatch in the floor. He did a clean job cutting the floor (even though that's not exactly what a plumber expects to be doing at a job). He had a ton of cool tools to get the job done. He was polite, fast, and seemed like he really cared to do a good job. He said "I work as if I'm working on my own home". Called Lambert's Plumbing & Heating for a service after my HVAC heat failed during the night. They…read moreanswered the phone early, scheduled an afternoon appointment and arrived on-time. The system needed replacing so we scheduled an 8AM start the next day for a complete new system installation. I was offered space heaters for my home, which was a very nice gesture. Because of the age of my system, I already had an idea of the replacement cost. Lambert's quote was well within the ballpark. No matter who you are, writing a big check can be stressful. Lambert's allowed me to purchase the heating component on the day of install and wait until spring to proceed with replacing and paying for the central air component. The technicians arrived on-time and were both professional and personable. The job's director, Sal, is a credit to the profession and the owner, Scott Lambert, came mid-day to address any questions or concerns I had, of which there were none. Everyone took great care with my home as if it were a million dollar property! Included in the job was a hardwired with battery backup carbon monoxide detector installed by the unit. I really like the new digital thermostat provided and large box of air filters...every little bit counts! If you are like me and do not have time to call 3 different vendors and price shop over what may amount to be a few hundred dollars difference between them, have comfort in calling Lambert's Plumbing and Heating 1st.
