Waiting Room - Unfortunately they have a tv that loudly plays bubble gum for the mind and endless commercials
    Andrea H.

Convenient location tucked into a strip mall off of Coit and Campbell Roads in Richardson, TX. Plenty of free parking available near the entrance. The facility is well kept and the waiting area had nice decor. The check-in process involved filling out about a dozen forms, but they kindly provided a pen and a clipboard so that you could do this seated in one of the many lounge chairs. Some of the pages seemed to be missing. When I inquired, the staff happily printed off the one or two lines that got truncated. I imagine most people sign without seeing them. Ask, and they will give them to you. When it was my turn, I was led to the back area where my vitals were checked. Afterwards, I was told to put my belongings in a small locker and then meet in the MRI room. The technician verified that I didn't have any metal on me. He asked me what type of music I liked and gave me a pair of headphones. He asked me to lie in the MRI bed which is about as inviting as a tanning bed. He attempted to place a plastic shield around my shoulder, the area of concern and manipulate my arm and hand. Unfortunately, I was in a lot of pain, so I wasn't able to comply with the placement of my hand/arm, but we worked out a compromise that was less painful. I asked him how long I was expected to hold this pose, and he said, "About 15 minutes, but your lucky because depending on the body part needing evaluation, it could be up to an hour." Thank goodness I only had to stay in this uncomfortable position for 15 minutes. As the bed was automatically moved into the tube capsule, I squeezed my elbows in to make sure I could fit. Music began to play in my headphones based on the type I requested, classical piano. I found it very relaxing. It put me at ease as the machine started to whirl and thump. The technician periodically came on to speak to me. He reminded me that I would need to remain still and not move at all. I was nervous about breathing, but I tried to take slow methodical breaths that would keep me calm and prevent me from moving. The machine was so loud at times, I could barely hear the music, but I tried to focus on the melody of Claire de Lune and relax. It was over in about ten minutes. I was happy to get out of that flat position because of the pain in my arm and shoulder. The technician made me a CD of my imaging. He wasn't able to tell me anything about it because a doctor had to do that, but he said the image came out well and that I could look at it. Not knowing much about my shoulder anatomy, I wasn't able to identify anything from the black and white video images, but thankfully my doctor was. And now I have a bit of data for my medical file that can be referenced in the future as needed. Overall this was a positive experience considering the pain that I was in. I would definitely recommend them to others.

This office is really beautiful inside! Very few people waiting, so social distancing was easy. And the employees have a process that works! I was checked in right away, and it actually took me longer to complete my paperwork than the whole process of getting my x-rays! LOL! Everyone was friendly and efficient. Glad I chose this location.

I had an MRI done. Our technician Mark was very patient and helpful, and took the time to explain the procedure and put me at ease.

As someone who can only do open MRIs, I really appreciated the warmth, patience, and professionalism of the radiologist and team.

They are located in a high rise office building close to Highway 75 and Medical City. The visitor parking is a few rows back from the building. It is clearly marked, but still easy to get to the building. My nurse practitioner put in a request for an x-ray on my right foot that I have been hobbling in pain on since July. I received a text message from Envision Imaging just a few hours after my medical appointment with my nurse practitioner. The text had a link to the electronic checkin. I was able to fill out all of the paperwork online and in advance of the appointment for the x-ray. I was thrilled to find out that they are open on Saturday mornings. You can easily book an appointment online, but if you need to schedule a same day or next day appointment, you have to call. I called and someone answered right away. The representative was able to book me an appointment the very next day. The facility is on the ground floor of the high rise office building. The waiting room had plenty of space and was nicely decorated. There was a television for those who wanted to pass the time. I didn't wait long. There were two staff members at the desk. One checked me in and took my payment. Both were friendly and upbeat. The technician called my name soon afterwards. She wore all black except bright pink gloves. She reviewed my medical history and then had me hop up on the table to do a few x-rays on my foot. The table was at a low level which made it easier to get on. I did have to configure leg and foot in various positions so that she could capture all angles. No protective lead shield apron was provided. Apparently the equipment is calibrated and directed so it doesn't irradiate my entire body unnecessarily. The capture process was mere seconds. After three or four shots in different positions, I was done. I had arrived 15 minutes early for my 10:45 am appointment. They were so quick and efficient that I was actually done with everything BEFORE 10:45. Wow! What great service!

Consequently, she hurt my right breast due to a lack of communication and empathy. I would recommend that she take some course to be more empathetic with patients. Also, that there are people who can translate, like a young woman there who performed a bone density study on me and used an application to translate into my language.

My doc ordered some tests and I received a bill for thousands of dollars. Since my insurance is pretty great, I knew this was an error. Before I had a chance to figure it out I got a call from CMRE (a collection agency) within a week of receiving the first bill. I was not happy, and I was told by the collection agency that NO insurance had been applied. Now I was pissed. I told the agent which insurance I had and she asked me for their phone # - wait, really? I told her to figure it out and fix it, the end. I tried to call CMRE a few days later for a status and had a really bad connection and was told their phones were down. The whole thing seemed super shady. I brought the bill to my next doctor's appointment and they told me to call Texas Radiology directly at (972) 867-7862. I called and left an angry voicemail and my call was returned promptly. I was told an error with their new system sent all bills straight to collections and I actually owed about $40. She apologized, took my payment and emailed me a receipt. 4 stars for handling it quickly, minus 1 star because the company should have been proactive in reaching out to patients after identifying this issue. Hopefully this helps someone else in the same situation.

Months later we are receiving bills saying they are not covered due to being out of network. It is impossible to get anyone to contact us to remedy the situation. I have been calling, messaging, waiting on hold in chat, doing everything possible. They say they will contact within 24hrs but this is a lie. They never contact us back. For as many people that are commenting the same things...we should look into a class action lawsuit. I think there's no way it's legal to have no way to discuss bills.
