After the inspection outside the home revealed substantial and expensive issues with the siding, roof, deck, and more that had not been previously disclosed, we determined without even finishing the inspection that there were too many safety issues with the home for us to move forward. His detailed, honest assessments likely saved us hundreds of thousands of dollars (and a lot of headaches). He even offered to charge us only a cancelation fee (rather than the full inspection fee) and wrote a summary of his findings up to the point we canceled for us to terminate our contract. We can only reply to the radon testing as we are the sellers. The machine was left in our house…read morethis week. It was very hot and muggy and we were not allowed to open windows or use air conditioning for three days. We were told they would be back to pick it up and we waited until 5 pm on that day. I called twice to see when they were coming, but could not get through to the technician. When we finally went to our basement we saw the machine was gone! Apparently someone came into our home without letting us know and took the machine! The next day the buyer called us to let us know we could open our windows. They did a good job for the buyer(I thin, but not for us, . Just noticed the reply. We are in California now, however the home we sold is in Connecticut and we were living there at the time of the inspection .
