We made appointments here because my friend had heard good things and I was happy we did--I doubt we would have gotten in otherwise. We were greeted promptly and our chairs were prepared as we were choosing our colors. There was a positive, friendly vibe with the mail technicians and other customers. The salon itself was clean and the nail technicians did a neat and thorough job which included hot towels, leg massage, etc. We were there for an hour, start to finish, including drying. I will absolutely be back, and perhaps try on a weekday morning when it is less busy. The word is out--Apsara nails is the place to go for a nice pedicure!

I've been getting my nails done every 2-3 weeks for over 3 years now. Plus more prior to the break during covid when things were closed. I have never once complained. If I don't like something, I just don't go back. This was... bizarre. I should have known better when the tech started trying to peel off my existing dip by using a tip edge she pulled from her box of tips. I had to ask for her to use acetone. At which point she did. I could tell this wasn't going well and did ask a couple times during the dip process, "is this how it normally looks when you're in the process of doing them?" "Can someone just take a look?" I looked to the coworkers and no one would come. "I'm a little scared but ok if you're sure" She kept trying to shape them with the file. But the base was too wet so chunks flew off. Then she'd patch it like spackle you'd do to repair a wall. Finally after repeating this several times and me asking those questions, she said "is this better?" At this point it had been well over an hour (conservative. It was likely closer to 2) WHAT?! I felt like a crazy person! I asked if someone else could finish it, she said no one else was available. I said no, it's not better. She asked if I wanted it removed, I said yes. But I proceeded to take a photo to show my friends bc I was so confused as to if I was losing my mind. She said "no take one of the other hand that's done" (except for the top coat) Again, whaatttttt??? The hand she approved is on the left! I got so stressed out bc even though I was speaking at a normal voice, other patrons could hear me bc there weren't that many people in there. She ended up soaking it off but after 5 mins I was so uncomfortable I grabbed a paper towel and started wiping it off myself and then left and finished removing it at home. The other piece of this story is that the whole time the tech kept insisting that my previous mani was acrylic. No idea what that had to do with anything! It wasn't, I haven't done acrylic since like jr prom in high school! Who even cares though. Fine let's say it was acrylic. What's that got to do with this?! Dead.

The initial cost is $80, with fill ins for $20. I got mine done about a month ago, and at first all seemed well. They looked amazing and lasted the two weeks the technician said they would. After the first 2 weeks I went in for a fill in & this is where things got bad. That fill in that was supposed to last another 2 weeks, didn't even last one. Almost all of the lashes on my right eye fell out. So I had to go in again 4 days later to get it fixed, so instead of charging me the $20, she only charged me $10.... which I guess was supposed to be a deal? So here we are 5 days later and lashes started coming out left and right. After hearing a horror story from a friend who got her lashes down & removed here (removal cost $40) I decided to google how to take off the lashes myself. Turns out all you need is baby oil and a lot of free time. So after an hour of rubbing baby oil and slowly wiping away the fake lashes, I was done. And when I looked in the mirror I was HORRIFIED. My eyelashes are now 1/3 of the length they were before I got this procedure done. Apparently the technician CUT my actual eyelashes before applying the extensions. As to why this was done, I have NO IDEA, but am now left with virtually NO eyelashes. It is not a good look and no amount of mascara helps. I'm now left with the choice of going around for the next 2 months without lashes, buying a bunch of fake eyelashes and applying them everyday OR getting eyelash extensions again. NONE of these options are appealing! So ladies, please THINK TWICE before getting this done here, it has been the BIGGEST mistake of my life (you can call me vain, but I now look like a freak!)

I'm still a traditional polish gal (no gel or dip for me), but they do it all here! I usually bring my own polish, but they also have great in-house options including standbys like OPI as well as a niche brand or two, including the quick-drying vegan brand Dazzle Dry (a $10 add-on, but this stuff really does last). You'll never feel rushed here; when you arrive you'll be asked if you'd like a coffee, tea, or glass of bubbly. Every aesthetician here I've worked with has done an amazingly thorough clean-up job along with exfoliating and massage, and in particular everyone does an amazing job with my nail tips to the extent that I usually get a week's wear on my nails, which I keep pretty short and bang around on the regular. Practicalities: you'll want to make an appointment--they do book up, and chancing it on a walk-in might not be an option. And parking on the street and in the lot across the street is metered and it's close enough to the Port to be monitored, so don't skip paying up.

Found my color and swiftly sat at the first pedicure station. One side of treatment area was for pedicures with massage chairs and the other multiple manicure stations. No chemical smell like the other local nail place. Ah! Good ventilation here. I was not given my techs name but she was pleasant, she offered me their top shelf pedicure menu which was way too much stuff for me. A good spa pedicure was what I requested. She then got down to business! A little tender due to pedicure was over due. She got my ingrown toenails all out with little pain. She did a WONDERFUL job.
