Unfortunately, the technician arrived about an hour late and then informed me the job required two people, so the same-day installation they had promised was no longer possible. A team of two returned the following week. They were courteous and kept their workspace tidy, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, they handled my quartz countertop very roughly during the installation and chipped it in six different places. What was most disappointing was that no one acknowledged the damage or apologized. I noticed the chips immediately after they told me the job was complete and they had left. They also left quite a bit of silicone dripping and smeared on vanity sink surfaces. After I reported the damage, I was disappointed by the follow-up from the manager. Rather than offering a partial refund or covering the cost of having my quartz countertop professionally restored, their only offer was to use a $15 repair kit. The manager eventually came out to apply the patch, but a cosmetic DIY-style repair is not an appropriate remedy for damage caused during their installation. The repair is still visible and does not restore the countertop to its original condition. While the team was polite and initially very responsive, the missed same-day commitment, damage to my countertop, lack of accountability when the damage occurred, and decision to patch the chips instead of covering a proper professional restoration ultimately outweighed the positives. I wanted to like them, having a reliable trustworthy plumber is an asset, but based on my experience, I can't recommend their services.

However, with a phone call, they scheduled another lead tech to come out and check the damage, as well as redo the "rootering". Even though the damage was minor, it was their fault, and they fully acknowledged that, apologized, and offered to help fix it. I was very grateful they were honest and didn't fight me on the situation. The tech took his time "rootering" the second time, and tried some more intense measures to make sure our back up was resolved. I recommend this company, but just be aware of your stuff and check for damage.

Daniel needed to do a lot of trouble shooting to fix a clogged toilet and drain in the older home. Project was particularly complicated because outside "clean-outs" were actually connected to the gutters. We appreciate that Rapid Rooter stands behind their work and Daniel was able to get to the root (unintentional pun) of the problem. He also gave us tips to avoid clogging the pipes in the future and a referral so that we can address the lack of access our plumbing to an outdoor clean-out. We'd also like to call out the customer care/front end of the company. From the start, I was given clear and precise information and treated with care. Near Labour Day 2021, I noticed that there were puddles of water in my second…read morebathroom, and freaked out - I couldn't tell if it was from a pipe burst, a ceiling leak, or something worse. It turned out (after a lot of self-experimentation) that it was from the toilet (most likely the feed that goes into the toilet bowl itself) -- since it was from the original condo build in 2003, and this was 2021, so... I guess toilets can stop working too? In any case, I had to scramble to get someone to fix it since I was afraid the leak would affect the floor beneath me (given how terribly this building was constructed, I wouldn't be surprised if the "between floor" spaces had issues). I bought my own toilet from Home Depot (thankfully they had some toilets, but I didn't get a water-saving one like I wanted because, despite the rebate, I don't actually pay for water in my building, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯), and set out to find a plumber to install it. I tried to make sure I found a local business to support, so off I went! 1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9/10. All things considered this turned out to be the cheapest option I had, since the other quote (Joe's 2 sons plumbing) was almost double what this one was. It came out to $523 (after tax) for labour and installation (of customer-provided toilet); the cost came out to be the same for either repair or replace ($375 for an onsite visit), but I needed to also change the angle stop for an extra $100 (labour inclusive). After tax, that seemed pretty reasonable, since I didn't know how to do this myself (Eero had mentioned it was pretty easy, but if it was my first time installing a toilet... maybe I should watch first). 2) QUALITY: 10/10. So far, no further leaks. I had a smarthome leak sensor near the toilet just in case, but I moved it elsewhere in the home as I realized these guys were legit, and I'm very happy with this off my back! 3) SERVICE: 10/10. The workmanship was solid - the most impressive thing I noticed was that I didn't need to move my over-toilet shelf to accommodate the plumbing work. He simply worked around it, and installed the toilet successfully! The plumber's name was "Eero" - he was no-nonsense, and even answered some other quick questions about my hot water heater that I had concerns about. The full turnaround was only six days, from "initial contact" to "work completed" (including a site visit to give me a free quote). I contacted them on September 3rd, and they completed the work on September 9, 2021. Jeremiah was responsive and explained everything in a very thorough and articulate manner (especially given my lack of understanding in the plumbing space).

So low my washing machine won't run. I called mainline plumbing to come out and see what could be the issue, explained that they did work in the yard and house next to mine says before. When someone came to my house they had no record or idea that their company did any work next door. So they went under my place and said they would have to rip through all the insulation to see if they could even find a problem. I asked about the valve they replaced on my neighbor's after fixing a broken pipe, bc maybe they could look at that part of the pipes. Once Again, no idea about what that could be. They needed a map of underneath my house and was going to see if the office had any or he'd need to tear through my plumbing. He left. He never came back. To my house. Walked off. No phone call either. My water worked perfectly for years, until Mainline was repairing next door and turning off and on water. I thought they would know what work was done so it could be looked at, or maybe what they had replaced need to be replaced in my pipes too. The level of disregard for their work and inconsiderate way of treatment is shocking.

Just as a side note - I had two other plumbers come out to review the same issue. One said it would cost $1000K+ to fix, the other recommended replacing our 6 year old water heater (which is working fine btw). Many small plumbing companies are being bought up by private equity firms, which push expensive and unnecessary repairs or products to pad their bottom line.
