I do not have any psychiatric condition but have a drug I take for non-psychiatric reasons that could be prescribed for psychiatric reasons and the stupid nurse illegally and unethically falsely recorded the reason as psychiatric because she provably incorrectly believed it to be a state requirement for prescribing that medication. 2. They managed to get the dosage and chemical variant wrong on a simple refill, causing me to go off my medication for a month. This had an economic impact and they owe me several thousand dollars in damages for it. AVOID! read more

I agree with the other posts as far as their primary focus is on turning business. I inquired about TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation). The business manager Jayson was great at getting me qualified. The treatment is 6 consecutive weeks, 36 sessions. I told Jayson that I would be on vacation in about 5 weeks and would start upon my return. He said that the treatment would be effective even with a break. Don't I want to enjoy my vacation? Based upon his assurances, I started treatment. I really should have done more research, but I took him at his word. As it turns out, the TMS treatment IS NOT as effective if there is a break and diminishes chances of success. When I returned from vacation, I needed to be remapped since it was so long since last treatment session. They didn't reschedule me for 1 week. It should have been the day after my return, for any chance of success. The psychiatrist (Dr. Vu) who performed the remapping in that session remarked that I never should have taken a break. The benefits that I was beginning to experience after the first 30 sessions (6 left undone) were completely lost, even after the final 6 sessions were completed. All 36 treatments have to be sequential. Momentum is critical. I complained to the head psychiatrist at the clinic, Dr. Air. He admitted that they should not have delivered the sessions with a break. But would do nothing about it. He said to wait 3 - 6 months and maybe Medicare would cover it again. The patient comes second here. They focus on the money. They can deliver services but the patients finances are what is important to them no matter what they tell you in an evaluation. read more

I was just switching providers to be on the same Medicine that I have been on for years. He was all about making sure he got as many visits as he could without refilling my prescription. He was upset I had canceled a follow up visit when I hadn't even had MY MEDICATION FILLED BY HIM YET. Then told me I couldn't get med refill without ANOTHER visit even though nothing had changed from my first visit and he had updated my drug screening a week prior without reaching out and letting me know anything about needing another visit. read more

Overall had a great experience. I saw Dean who was a great listener, provided feedback/advice as needed, and tweaked things as needed for my unique needs. Also he was just encouraging to meet with. I would stick with Prime/him, but had to change for insurance purposes. In terms of the office, at first I found difficulty with getting a hold of team members on the phone, but once I switched to messaging them on my phone I discovered how responsive they were about appointment changes, insurance questions, etc. Thanks, and if things change again down the road I'll be back. read more

Like most of us, working parents, everyday stress, so many things to do with so little time to accomplish them and the desire to succeed at all times, sometimes we need a little professional help. I came here a while ago looking for help. I saw Ragina who is the nurse you see to determine what you need, medication, therapy, or both. She is very professional and the first time she just listened to me. After her assessment she recommended counseling. I then started seeing Kim who is awesome! She has helped me a lot! Just going and talking to an impartial person has helped me figure out some things and made me see things differently. They just moved to their new location at legacy dr in Frisco. It's a brand new set of offices so you will find outside construction and it may be a bit confusing to find but once you are inside the office you will feel at ease! Nice decoration and a big fish tank. The front desk staff is so friendly which I enjoy very much. Right now they have available parking close to the office. I know they have several therapists, counselors and PHD/MD for you to choose to see. And Ragina to help with medication if necessary. They take insurances, they open Saturdays and I believe they close later in the afternoons which helps us working people! I honestly recommend this practice if you need it or someone you love needs it! It's important to treat mental health and to talk about instead of being taboo about this issue! read more

Prime Psychiatry started off as a good experience dealing with anxiety, panic disorder and depression but then devolved into one where they were no longer willing to help me with treatments beyond medications and TMS. I can only speak for my experience with Jennifer S at the Frisco location. Case in point: My insurance will pay for an investigational therapy for anxiety and depression, both of which were diagnosed by my Prime Psychiatry provider, however, they refuse to offer a referral for such treatment because it's not FDA approved. Further, they decided the risks were too great, rather than letting me decide for myself what risks I am willing to take to regain health. Instead, Prime tries to push off responsibility of referral to other providers I'm seeing who have NOTHING to do with anxiety or depression diagnoses. This is absurd. The diagnosing entity would need to provide a referral for such therapy, no one else. It is my opinion Prime Psych will willingly milk your insurance company to death, but when you want to push for other treatments that are investigational, THEY decide for YOU whether risks are acceptable or not. My experience has been let's medicate you to death till you are zombie-like and "see how it goes". I would not recommend this practice at all for people who are seriously needing help beyond Prime's practice of pushing TMS, medications and Spravato. read more

I would highly advise not scheduling with this office. My NP Sandra Biolose was great and I have no complaints about her care. The business office on the other hand is highly deceptive in their practices. I tried to make a pmt arrangement for one visit while my insurance kicked in on Sept 1, they would not hold off on me having an appt for 2 weeks while my insurance started, and they debited my acct without my permission bc they REQUIRE pmt on file to debit any and all charges incurred as you are not allowed to carry any balance and receive care or prescriptions even with a pmt arrangement. I made very clear that I would not be able to make pmt in full and would need a pmt arrangement at the time of appointment and that was agreed and then a full debigt came out of my account which I called and advised I would have to dispute with my bank bc it was unauthorized. I tried for an entire week to get the business office manager, Lindsey, to return my call to settle this matter BEFORE my medications would be due, and she did not return a phone call for a full week until on the day my meds were due after calling another 3 times that day to reach her. The office requires a monthly visit to continue prescribing meds, which is fine, but they will not work with you if you have any issue with pmt due to insurance or any other matter. Again, my Provider is fantastic and I love her, but I will now have to go to the ER to obtain my meds while I find a new provider bc of this office's shady practices. Find a different office that takes patient care more seriously and not abandoning their patients care when the patient is making every effort to resolve the issue in an acceptable manner bc they are only concerned about collecting money from you. I have been a patient for 3.5 years and have only had one issue and there is no understanding over a balance of $180.00 from the business office who is controlling whether you can make an appt or get prescriptions refilled bc they lock your account so the office cannot schedule an appt with your provider. Seriously, there are other more considerate empathetic practices to utilize for mental health and Prime Psychiatry is not one of them. read more

I contacted Prime Psychiatry on behalf of my daughter and was referred to Dr. Evan Mulamba for treatment. The appointment was regarding tweaking my daughter's ADD meds, as her performance in school had been quite lacking. At one point in the appointment, Mulamba asked that I leave the room. When I returned, I was told she was recommending that I take my daughter to a behavioral health hospital for assessment. I was not told what was said. I later had to call back and ask what was said, and then she told me I was obligated...nee...compelled to take her for this assessment. I was completely blindsided by this. 6 hours at the behavioral hospital and I reluctantly agreed to admit her, because I was afraid of what would happen if I did not. At the follow up appointment, I asked about the ADD meds, and was told that she would be refusing to prescribe her ADD meds. 1 month later, her school performance is worse than before I originally called. I left a message and the message I received back was that I owed a balance, nothing else was addressed. I have only owed this balance a month. This business does not have your or your children's best interests in mind. I would give it zero stars if I could. Avoid. Especially Dr. Mulamba. read more

How I would love to give them 5 stars based on my clinician Sandra and the first young lady I spoke with who sits at the front desk in Frisco. However, I cannot in good faith do this because of the folks on the telephone. With whom one may do a bulk of business with if there is an issue, concern, or question. It's uber frustrating to go to medical offices for a variety of things one needs help with only to become more frustrated by the lack of service workers provide. The guy that called me last week wanted me to get an address from a pharmacy AFTER I provided them with a fax and phone number. Then said "respectfully, it's not my job to call pharmacies all day". What exactly IS your job Mr Admin? All of us do things at work that we don't seem in our job description but that pesky line of "other duties as required" lives everywhere. But outside of that, getting additional info IS an administrative duty. Who speaks to customers like that? When I was attempting to make my FIRST appt, the gentleman told me Sandra was not hybrid. Then 20 min later said she's only hybrid on Mondays. I'll leave that for the audience to piece together. Oh and one more example is I called to get Rx sent to the correct pharmacy. Sandra responded almost immediately to the admin staff. I had to call back and was told she had reapplied to the. 2h 40m prior. What exactly are these admins doing? I just had my first visit with Sabrina, and I was very impressed with how the appointment went! I did a Tele health visit because they were not having any pts in the office due to covid. They took my insurance, and the staff was very helpful when signing up and making an appointment. Don't go here. You can't contact your provider or the front office in between appointments, which is important if you run out of meds. They continuously prescribe me incorrect dosages or medications we have already discussed weaning off of. Nooo it was the three "little" robots behind a desk pretending to work. And then they had the nerve and audacity to ask for 180$. If the front office tells you that they'll call you back.. don't believe it. Literally have been told that for two weeks and I've been calling them every other day because they don't call you back. The office manager is excellent but it's just by the time she intervenes, the damage is done. There's a big miscommunication happening in the office and I think that's getting in the way of them helping other people and is just making their patients stressed out. If they care, they should explain to their patients thoroughly of the problems and not keep them in the dark. Also, their procedures and process are confusing. They give me two different answers or incomplete answers. Like the front desk or the doctor should say "there's a fee for completing a form" instead of finding out last minute. Yes, they waived my fee but that doesn't excuse the poor way things were handled. I think the solution was simple but they made it a nightmare for me. Also they tried to manipulate me by saying they finally did their job (the day after it was supposed to be done) and make me feel guilty about my review and told me that I should take it down and that it's unfair to them. But what about the pain they caused me? Being called a liar by the doctor? Like if the doctor is unable to fill out a form, they just say that. They don't say "the patient never discussed that with me" when I clearly did. And I'm the one being unfair to them. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I would recommend searching elsewhere. They have issues with connection to the pages you fill out you patient information which ended up taking quite awhile to get completed. To connect with the Psychiatrist was another difficulty that was on their end. I was not pleased. I spoke with Raigina Preston. She was rude and condescending. The connection was horrible and it froze multiple times. Towards the end as we were wrapping things up she asked me about my medications. She told me that I wasn't in the system and she looked back 3 years and 5 years and there wasn't any record for me. She told me she looked for variations and abbreviations of my name but I didn't show up. She all but called me a liar. I've been on the same medications for 7 years now. Ridiculous. She wasn't pleasant to speak with and wasn't even kind. I want rude and I didn't treat her disrespectfully but yet she seemed to think it was ok to treat me in a very unprofessional manner. She told me I need to find a different psychiatrist as she would not treat me and told me to call my insurance company to find a provider. I do not recommend this practice. This place is a joke! Ok, I have no problem with the doctor I see here...that being said, I have massive problems with office staff ignoring requests, the lack of the ability To get anyone to respond at all. The website shows areas of contact and all are ignored unless im making a new appointment And bringing income to them. I have had a simple request that would have taken seconds to resolve and I have been trying to get a response for weeks now. This staff here is amazing! They make the administrative part of the process (insurance approvals, scheduling, reminders, questions, prescription requests) almost effortless- and always with a smile on their face or even in their voice through the phone! They definitely are a well oiled machine and seem to all work very well together! My adult son and I go here for medication management. (recently moving here from another state). I chose this place initially because of the great reviews I had seen on the internet- and we were not disappointed. Both of us are happy with the care we get here and the genuine concern the physicians show toward our well being, as well as the knowledge they possess. You are never made to feel like you are asking too many questions, or that they are rushing you along to see another patient. You get the feeling you have their undivided attention the whole time, for as long as you need. In the initial visit- beware, they are typing alot while you are talking, and not making as much eye contact...which at first can be a little unsettling, as if they arent really listening (but they are definitely paying attention i promise)-- as I thought more about it, I realized I would rather them take their notes in real time, instead of having to remember what I said - and fill in the notes for my chart later - possibly forgetting something relevant. This way you know they are documenting all the things they feel are important in real time- nothing to be forgotten. read more
