Initially, I was given a competitive price ($93/mo) for the (10' X 15') size unit I needed. I honestly can't say I recall being told that it was an introductory rate, but I did expect that it would eventually increase as prices at various other locations continually change throughout the year to accommodate demand. Within a month management changed from Capital Storage/Prime Storage to Life Storage and after one year my monthly rent increased from $109 to $112. This past March Extra Space took over management and once again on my August anniversary my monthly rent increased, this time to $156. This seems like a rather steep increase. I stopped in their onsite office the other day to ask about the possibility of switching units to better accommodate my need. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff person drove me to a couple other units to check them out. We did eventually identify an acceptable alternate unit and accomplished the transfer in short order. All the units are well kept and clean. The staff person was friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Now paying 120 a month with nothing additional being given. Called to have my due date moved out by 8 days and was told no problem that i would be locked out for 3 days as they give 5 days grace. WAS NOT told there would be a late fee of close to $25 which in order to get access to my unit I was forced to pay today with the monthly fee. The guy didn't even remember not telling there would be a late fee. Poor Poor customer service and quite frankly will have me looking at a cheaper unit with better ownership stability and customer service skills.
