I booked packing and moving services - two people for packing, and three people for moving…read more Originally I had booked these services on two consecutive days, but had to reschedule about a week before the original move date, and was assured it would be no problem and that the packing and moving could be done on the same day, that it would be fine. I was asked to chose a specific time window for both of these services, with packing starting at 10 AM, and I was super clear that the move would be a three person job, and that two guys were not enough. I received a confirmation for three guys with a truck arriving for the moving portion of the job at 1 PM. At 7:30 am on the day of the move, the people who were coming to pack called and said they were on their way. When I explained that the time I was told was 10 AM, I was accused of "rescheduling" and "changing the time" which was completely false - I was asked to pick a specific time window when I booked the job Then, shortly after the guys arrived at 10, I was informed that there would only be the two of them with the truck they had arrived in which was obvious even to me that it would not fit everything, and that the third person with an appropriately sized truck who I had booked and was supposed to arrive at 1 PM for the moving portion of the job was not coming because guys had called in sick. The truck was indeed too small, and another guy ended up coming in on his day off and loading a dresser into his personal vehicle to move it. Then I was accused by the owner of not giving an accurate inventory, which is false (and if the packing had happened the day before the move as it was suppose to any issues with that would have been identified). It ended up being a 12 hour nightmare during a heat wave, and I had to make two additional trips the following day because they didn't even move all of my stuff. And then the owner tried to charge me more than I'd been quoted on top of it when it was all over. At no point has anyone at the company taken any responsibility, and instead tied to blame me because I had rescheduled the date a week prior. I even called the morning of and spoke to Antonio, who assured me there would be three guys coming at 1, which obviously turned out to be totally false. The guys who did the work were great, but despite that the experience with the owner and office staff was so bad that I would warn anyone to not expect to get what you're quoted, and to plan for a bait and switch.

I told Uncluttered Spaces that I couldn't do anything physically because of the pain I'm experiencing and they said that was no problem. In two days I sat in a chair while they went completely through every nook and cranny in my home and with my direction divided all of my furniture and belongings into 3 groups- things I would keep, things they would donate, and trash which will be removed when I have the whole house emptied. They worked non-stop and clearly labeled all of the items that I would take. They offered sound advice on what I should bring but didn't dictate their opinion. They arrived on time and stayed with my approval until they finished. They were hard-working and so supportive that I felt completely relieved. Thank you so much Uncluttered Spaces.

Throughout the move the lead mover told us they were getting a second truck or a van, but it never came. They then said it would come the next day, but then no one would call us back. Now they've left us in the lurch, and charged $1500 to move a small 3 bed into another small 3 bed 5 minutes away. We had a faster, better experience when moving across states, travel time included! The movers themselves worked very hard, but the company itself is poorly run. STAY AWAY!!!
