Billing Fraud: In summary I would move my own house before I would ever hire these no talent ass clowns again; we moved 9/25 from PA to NC and unfortunately selected Clemmer for the job. All seemed on-track after the onsite estimate by Connor but when the date of load out came all the problems began. We had a long driveway that required a dolly truck to move all items to tractor trailer, told Connor about concern, never added to quote and then tried to charge us additional fee. We were charged for mattress cartons ($725) never provided; our mattresses went on the truck unwrapped along with other high value items. Clemmer showed up to job without shrink wrap and had to use 2 rolls I purchased just to do half assed job. Inventory paperwork of items was not presented at completion of load out by driver Tom who had worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Had to called parent company Allied after delivery was delayed 5 days with no explanation. Contacted Clemmer numerous times with no response so escalated to Allied. Submitted insurance claim for numerous items, make sure you purchase full coverage insurance as you will need it. read more

We asked Clemmer to pack two home offices and load and move our owner packed home. They were clear and up front with us about each step of moving us 600 miles. The estimate was fair. After the truck arrived at the new home and everything was unloaded and put in place, beds assembled, I signed all the paperwork and they were gone. My final invoice reflected the lower weight than estimated since we had given away some furniture- $500 savings. There was also a reduction of 25% for the packing job. A nice surprise. Allied is the best! We had originally hired a different mover who attempted to scam us. While we were waiting on the police to arrive, we placed a call to Allied. They were sympathetic and acted quickly to get us a crew. Because of the other mover, we lost 4 days of vacation time to move. Thanks to Allied, we got into our new home within the remaining days! I used Clemmer moving for a move within PA. I am incredibly disappointed in the quality of work. Many things arrived broken and they treated the belongings as if they did not care if they broke or not. The crew lead did try to work well but he had little training and was overwhelmed with the horrible work of the rest of the crew. It was as if they did not care because they know insurance pays. Many things were not packaged correctly for the trip. The paperwork with the inventory was totally incomplete and many boxes did not match. Some things they wrapped, like stuffed animal toys, did not make sense. vases, dishes, living room decoration, cracked mirrors, many pieces damaged. They reassembled by king size bed all wrong, they stripped screws on other bed frames and on drawer sets, they broke wood pieces on furniture, scratched or stained others. In the end, they only covered minimal damage because I did not pay the extra insurance that I believed would not be necessary. Part of Allied, I did not expect this level of incompetence. I still have issues pending with them and they are denying blame. Do not use them. I will submit a complaint directly with Allied as these guys taint their name and reputation. read more

Terrible movers. Very unprofessional and lied on the phone. Said we were over weight when we donated, gave away and threw away lots of furniture and items after the estimator came out. How could we be over weight? So many excuses, the coordinator is out sick, truck broke down, on vacation and so on. They delivered much later than our delivery window with ZERO communication on when we would get our stuff. They ended up hiring random guys who drove hours to get there and unload our stuff. Don't do it! We used this company for a move and storage. Using this company was an awful experience. They made multiple mistakes (mislabeling the vaults, multi days late, broken metal kitchen table, missing items), but worst of all was the way they handled the mistakes (lying, denying, shuffling you too multiple people, holding items until payment) I have never written a bad review for any company. I understand mistakes can happen but once they started lying, minimizing, and denying things, it was a must to let everyone know that this is not a company you want your hard earned money going to, as they have little to no respect for the clients. read more

The good: Actual moving guys were decent, hard-working guys. VERY sloppy, leaving trash at both the old home and the new home, and damaging BOTH houses as well. But that might've been OK, if the people in the OFFICE -- including the owner -- were at all competent or honest. They were neither. They have a cute system, where they deliberately underestimate the move, then PRESTO! overcharge you in order to complete the job. I mean they underestimated our house move by 50%. It wasn't close. The owner came to our house, looked things over for 10 minutes, and estimated 8000 pounds. Then we rented a giant dumpster for a week, FILLED IT, and somehow we wound up 12000 pounds to be moved. What?!?!?! They only sent an 8000 pound truck, of course, so they had to come back AGAIN two days later, and at OUR expense. They charged US because of THEIR incompetence -- and of course, the office people refuse to talk on the phone, address our complaints, or give a crap about their customers at all. The salesperson who initially came to give us an estimate seemed knowledgeable and professional. Our move was handled in 3 steps on 3 separate days. Day 1 packing, day 2 loading, day three delivery. We immediately got an uneasy feeling when they only sent 2 people to pack up our 2500 square foot home. One of the packers was very good and professional (Kevin). The other spent most of the day texting on his phone. He would spend an hour in one room and would only pack one box. During our unpacking we could tell the boxes that were packed by him because he literally dumped drawers into boxes with no protection (see photo example). Kevin did 80% of the packing. During the walkthrough, we found many items that were supposed to have been packed by the other guy. When we told him that he had missed items, he started huffing and throwing boxes together in a very angry way. On day 2 before the company came back, I called our moving coordinator to let him know about the experience we had on day 1. He didn't want to hear it and said that complaints should be told to the dispatcher. When I called the main number, Dispatch wasn't an option. Day 3, delivery. They had damaged our entertainment console. Not 1 or 2, but three legs ripped off as well as the entire back. One of the items "packed" by the unprofessional packer broke. A bottle of 1957 Port that I've had for over 30 years. They improperly assembled our bed frame. My wife laid down and the entire bed collapsed. They didn't install the slats properly and we had to reassemble. We took photos of that as well. As we are just beginning the unpacking process, I won't be surprised to find other damages. The good news is that we have several law practices in our new building. Based on the other reviews, I'm sure that this will be a long process to be fairly compensated. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company - they refused to wear PPE and maintain safety in my home during the move while in COVID conditions, broke numerous items that I paid them to pack due to their lack of care, required us to pay extra for an additional person that complained the entire time, nearly broke several larger items due to carelessness while unloading the truck and required that we pay extra money for their midway Wawa run. I have only had positive experiences with movers in the past but can not recommend that you find another mover enough. read more

Unbelievable horrible customer service and they could not stop lying even when directly confronted with said lies. First off Tyler canceled 2 deliveries with never notifying me. Apparently the customer is required to contact them to find out what is happening. That would be bad normally but hold on cause it gets worse. When you leave a message, you will get no return calls. The only way to get a hold of Tyler is to contact the operator and then have them put him on the phone for you. Finally I get a "guarantied" 8 AM first delivery time and date after some formal complaints come in they show up 2 hours late, and when talking with the drivers, I was scheduled delivery number 2 and on their tracking I wasn't sheet I wasn't scheduled till 10. I could not in any good consciousness recommend this company for delivery service. Only slight saving grace is that after talking with the regional manager: Paula, she actually was telling me some truth and location and expected time for the truck, which was appreciated, but at that point the damage was done. read more

Zero stars if it were possible. We used Clemmer for packing, storage and moving to a new constructio home.There was extensive damage to walls, doorways and furniture. The mover that delivered the furniture with his crew filled out a claim and saw the damage and said he would submit it that day. That was just the initial damage to home. Needless to say he never submitted the claim. Now they are not taking responsibility. It gets worse from there, as we unpacked there was furniture damaged beyond repair again Clemmer not taking responsibility. We originally went with the pricier mover thinking you get what you pay for not the case be warned. The last part was the horrendous customer service provided from Paula Sadler who might be the rudest and dismissive individual I've had the misfortune to Ideal with. Horrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! When holding our property in storage we noticed a $15,000 piece was destroyed with water damage that is NOT covered by insurance. After 3 months we settled for less than $1000 for that piece as we were tired of dealing with them, overall a claim for over $25k in damage we settled for less then 5k. . That was just 1 of about 15 damaged pieces damaged by bad packing lazy handling, nor to mention floor scratches and wall dents to a new house. This company was a disaster. I would rate them lower than 1 star if I could. We have moved cross-county 4 times. I wouldn't recommend this company for a move next door!!! This move was by far the worst in terms of damage to our belongings! We moved from Bucks Co. to Greensboro, GA. with 10 months of storage in their Telford warehouse in-between. I questioned the initial driver on why our furniture wasn't being protected/padded better. His response was will take care of that as we off-load it into our warehouse which was only 20 miles away. That never happened!!! We had 443 moving tags and of these, we filed insurance claims on 57. Just about every piece of furniture we moved received some level of damage. The damage was so severe that the driver who delivered our possessions took pictures of the damage before they even began to unload the trailer. The driver said it looked like our stuff was just thrown in the trailer and there was limited padding placed on our furniture. Where there wasn't padding, there was damage. Our bedroom suite was heavily damaged... the headboard was broken in half! Our two dressers, two night stands and armoire was severely marred. My son's bedroom furniture suffered significant water damage and had to be replaced, I could go on and on.... It took the furniture restoration company over four days to repair what they could, which was only about half of our claim. The remainder was a total loss. Before I filed an insurance claim I reached out to Clemmer to inform them of the damage and they were very indifferent. All they said was just file a claim! If you care about your belongings you should avoid this company at all cost!!!!!! read more

Packing of our belongings was relatively smooth. The moving staff was professional and courteous. However, upon arrival at our new home, we were informed that the crew did not have the appropriate equipment to locate our safe in its permanent location despite this being clearly called out in our contract and clearly communicated by us at the time that our estimate was performed. At almost one month out from our original move date, Clemmer has yet to schedule a time to relocate our safe to its intended destination in our new home. We also experienced damage to our walls and door jam as part of the move into the new home along with damages to our belongings. I would not recommend them. read more

I was looking for a mover for a relatively short distance move in July. I had been emailing with Veronica, and she sent me an inventory form to fill out for an estimate. I sent it back right away, but I never heard back about the estimate. I called and left a message. After a week, I called them again. The lady who answered the phone was very professional, and promised to get things sorted out right away. She asked me who I had been communicating with, and I told her it was Veronica. Let me just update my review - this is NOT a fabrication. I was so excited for the delivery of my new couch that I didn't leave my house all day - not even to take my dogs out to go to the bathroom. I have already asked for a copy of my phone records from Sprint .. I suggest you ask your driver to do the same. I bet you he says no. I would also appreciate it if you asked the driver to describe the outside of my house for me. If he had knocked on my door .. or even pulled down the street with the truck .. I would have heard it. My walls and windows are paper thin and facing the street .. you can hear full conversations from people outside on the street. My dogs would have heard it as well. They bark at every little noise they hear and they hear everything. I returned the couch because I was told you could do a Saturday delivery, but not for another 3 weeks. Completely unacceptable. I already ordered a new couch and got it delivered on Sunday. I didn't even get a call from the new company - you know how I knew they were at my house? I heard them outside before they even knocked on my door. I'm not saying that everyone at the company is lazy .. but the guys hired to deliver my couch on Wednesday were. And if you actually looked into the situation and got some evidence which I am willing to provide, you would see that your driver IS lying. Again, I ask you to have him describe my house - because I know 100% he never showed. Movers were very pleasant. One of the guys was a temp and this was his first job with Clemmer. He worked on taking apart and putting together my bed. One of the slats broke. One of the bolts holding the frame together in the corners was missing. I found that out when I sat on the bed and the mattress fell through almost to the floor. Several pieces of furniture were chipped. A large chunk was broken off a cabinet and glued back on. I won't be bothered filing a complaint. The worst part was that my carpets are now filthy and there is a grease spot in one room. The pads used for wrapping furniture were beyond disgusting. They need to be cleaned at least once in a millenium. My house is covered in dirt, leaves, grass, etc. One of my lamps is broken. This added to an already stressful situation. Ugh. read more

They continued to bill me a late charge even after I send cleared checks (through Wells Fargo Bill Pay) showing that I paid on time for every month of storage. When they packed my belongings they just threw things in boxes and a lot of things broke. They are very expensive if you store your belongings with them. When they delivered my belongings they forgot a lot of things and could not find them in their warehouse. I had to wait two days for them to deliver essential pieces of furniture: two boxsprings, TV stand/fireplace, kitchen table, bureau, two lamps, and numerous boxes of kitchen supplies and other things. I would not recommend them. When I called to ask when the rest of my things will be delivered they said they could not find them and will get back to me. While the workers were pleasant that packed up our 3,000 sq ft home in October 2021, the boxes were not numbered, the inventory list of items in each box was illegible, and we had not way of knowing if they truly delivered all our boxes on delivery day. Also, we found boxes that had so much paper in them and one tiny or one small unbreakable item! We were charged so much for boxes and paper we did not need. That is their way of increasing the weight and charging for more boxes. We are still to this day, almost 2 months later, searching for some items. The workers also did not show up on time on loading day and arrived 2 hours late with the truck. The driver was very inexperienced and could not back the very large truck into our driveway (which was HUGE, so that was not the issue). They then took a 1 1/2 hour lunch break, the foreman had no clue where they disappeared to, and this delayed us into the evening until all was loaded. The driver then got the truck STUCK in our yard trying to back out of the driveway. *It was very heavy so that is why you back in when the truck is empty so you can simply pull forward once the truck is full. The yard was damaged so much that Clemmer Moving now has to pay for landscapers to repair the yard. We are very disappointed. The manager, Amy will not bend and refuses offer any credit for the hassles and issues we had. If you hire this company: WATCH THE WORKERS EVERY MOVE, DIRECT THEM ALL DAY LONG, AND DO NOT LET THEM PACK WITHOUT YOUR SUPERVISION. And if you are lucky and Amy or anyone calls you from the company to ask how your delivery went, be sure to voice ALL concerns at that very moment as they will not return emails or calls after the fact.
