A review post rescheduled event: Overall, our guests were comfortable, the sound system was good, the room was clean and airy with high ceilings and needed minimal decorations. There was room for our food and sweets tables as well as for a small dance floor which was appropriate for our intimate event with close family and friends. As an event space, the sky tower room delivered all of the things we were looking for. ---------------------- The space was clean, easy to access from the Highway, there was street side parking for our guests as long as they arrived early. The general manager Shanita(?) was there cleaning from a prior event and greeted us at the door at 2pm. It was good that we started the event later (4pm) than our reservation started (2pm) because our DJ had to work with event staff and call the owner because our DJ was having trouble connecting to the system. We followed up with staff onsite to make sure we revived the ice, serving trays, and table linens that were included in our package. We decided not to follow up about using the projector/tv screens after being brushed off when we asked for the other included amenities, but there were two large flatscreen TVs behind the sound booth. There was another event happening at the same time in the smaller room next door and we could only hear them (and assume that they could also hear us) if the front doors were open. At one point a guest from the other party clogged one of the toilets so it was shut down. The site manager was there to direct people to the right room and to shut down the room that was out of service. We started cleanup at 8 pm and we did our best to clear the space of debris that was generated by our event. The contract was very specific about prohibited activities (IE: no tape. No confetti etc) so we wanted to be sure to keep up our end of the deal especially because some of our decorative balloons popped and made a mess. The manager came in at 9pm and let us know that she would handle the rest if we got our items out of the space. We (clearly) did not have the best time negotiating the terms of the rescheduled event especially when we wanted to switch event spaces. Beautiful site. Lovely amenities. read more

I rented this place for a baby shower in May 2019 and I would never rent there again. Personally it's not my style. The manager wasn't prepared when we arrived. The tables and speakers weren't setup and they were doing work in the other room while our event was going. We didn't pay extra for their decorator, which we thought would've been included but it was not. I wouldn't rent here again nor would I recommend. However, if you want something cheap, minimal customer service and with no frills then this could be the place for you. read more

Backstory: Our event was postponed for over a year due to covid. I communicated with the owner for about two months before we decided on a date. There were no issues in getting in contact with the owner Damien. There was just a little mix up with how we were able to have our event with the credit that was already paid . We were attempting to use the credit for other services that were offered before covid with that in exchange for downgrading the room from sky to regency . The rules changed on how they were running the event space which made me feel like I had to pay up to $1500 extra on top of $2300 credit. It was explained to me with two options on the table, cater or a decoration package... Ofcourse anyone would flip out heating that lol. On December 16th 2018 I had my wife's baby shower at prime 33 location and to our surprise it was very elegant the details placed in this special event from the forks to the plates to the table covers where magical. I wanna thank the owner of the establishment, who also created a wonderful master piece of fruits carving and also for his excellent customer services and friendly attitude. I also would like to thank his staff that made this special day happen. . And the DJ for the music entertainment. What can I say about this place I absolutely love it and adore the people running the place. You would never know it was there (not too far from Bay Plaza) but once you walk inside you'll forget you're in the Bronx. We had my Sisters baby shower there and the owner Anise worked with my mom through each step of planning and executing the event. She and the staff decorated the space beautifully giving us everything we envisioned for the baby shower. What also made it great was they have the majority of items you will need to make the event pop! Their catering staff also served some yummy food we picked off of their extensive menu that paired nicely with the food we bought. Many were impressed by the carved fruit platter artfully displaying my sisters name. My sister was in such awe of her baby shower from the set up to the decoration and having her own special chair. During the event time everyone was helpful and calm to the guests and the family, and even was understanding as we took longer than expected leaving. We appreciated the hospitality and gracious team. Anise and her staff did a wonderful job giving us everything we want. We had a great time and can't wait to do another event there. Definitely will recommend this place to others!! read more

Just had our baby shower this past Sunday and it was amazing. Damien and Anice went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they upgraded us to their Sky Tower Room, which is an amazing room, but the food was delicious and they added an additional entree to our package just because. Courteous, kind, helpful, professional, are just a few words to describe their services and them. They were there throughout the entire night and if we needed any assistances they didn't hesitate to help. Everyone one at attendance couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the decorations were and how great the food tasted. At the end of the night, literally all the left overs were taken. Damien and Anice, I want to thank you for an unforgettable night. I'm 100% sure that we will be booking another event with you as well as a few of our family members. This place is awful! We arrived to see the garbage from the day before outside the door. The hall was messy and not the cleanest. We had to request paper towels and additional toilet paper from the one very sour staff person available. We received rectangular tables and nor round as pictured and the space was extremely tight. I was lured here by my mother, as a potential place for my shower, and I was blown away. Anice was in the process of decorating one of the rooms for a shower that evening, and her attention to details, and her creativity was superb. I had no idea where I wanted to have my shower, but immediately knew that Pelican Ville was the place for me. It's intimate, clean, well-organized, and elegant. Anice was beyond professional, attentive, listened, effective communicator and an overall pleasure to deal with. Every time she and I spoke, she was pleasant and accommodating. The day of my shower everything was exactly what we discussed and much more. It was beautiful. I had an amazing time, and will highly recommend this place and Anice as your to go to decorator. The worst experience ever. Booked this company for party rentals...specifically a white acrylic wall and gold pedestals, and by far the MOST unprofessional services I have ever experienced. Firstly, their delivery arrived to the venue 3 hours late! Yes, you saw that right...3 HOURS! My party started at 430p and they arrived at 4pm (actual agreed upon time according to the invoice was 1pm delivery). The delivery man and manager did not even call to inform me that they would be arriving late. Their tardiness left my party decorator with minimal time to decorate the wall and pedestals. To make matters worst, they never even apologized for their tardiness and unprofessionalism...and still demanded full pay even though they were completely wrong. Their excuse for their lateness was due to "traffic," which is absolutely no excuse when Prime 33 is located less than 15 minutes away from my venue. They even had the nerve to tell me, "what do you expect me to do fly across the traffic, life happens, you can cancel the order if you want!" Delivery and customer service from hell. When the wall was actually displayed, you can see the crack in the middle which is supposed to look seamless. Very poor construct and setup. I will never ever book them again! If you wan to to enjoy your night DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE!! the most nasty and disrespectful costumer service ever! I have been doing baby shower for more than 5 years and I have never experience something like I did with these people.. First of all, when you go to see the place there will be a nice lady showing you around and explaining all the details they can do for you. If you do not chose their package I guess you are death, that happened to me. I choose to only rent the venue and do my own decoration.. Well they seem ok in the beginning once I pay the down payment the problem start. There is 100 rules that according to them are in the contract which is a lay, the contract only is a page only and it does not explain all the details. At the end of the day they want to charge me even for the air condition. they did not want me to use the freezer and they charge me for a cleaning fee of 150 dollars in which I had to help cleaning because they were throwing my personal stuff away in the garbage.. It was a night mare for me!! I won't even recommend this place to my enemy. They really destroy my night .. X-( read more

Let me start by saying this is the worst place I ever rented. It has the worst customer service you can imagine. My words can't explain what an awful experience I had. When I booked the place I decided just to take the rental without their other services, at first the owner and his partner seem to be very nice until I paid the rental. Pelican Ville has hidden fees; their contract is not precise since they have different rules far from the ones listed on the contract. We booked the hall for 100 guests and I made an agreement with the owner to pay the clean up service at a discounted price which was $75.00 but at the end we had to pay an additional $75 for a total of $125.00 since the owner lost his memory and denied what we agreed. Their clean up service fee is per person so WATCH OUT. Their fridge is NOT INCLUDED on their rental you have to pay extra. The bar is also not included on the rental you have to pay extra. Even though when we rented the hall they said we were allowed to use it as long as we bring our own liquor. Their decoration rules are far from clear on their contract which made it tedious to decorate for the event. The AC was not operating properly, the hall was extremely hot and my guests were sweating the whole night. The clean up lady was so NASTY, she argued with me and cursed me out and she did the same to at least 6 of my guest. She had a major attitude problem; she almost broke my centerpieces by rushing her job and had the nerve to say she was doing me a favor by cleaning even though I paid for the service. PELICAN VILLE SHOULD INVEST THE MONEY WE PAID FOR SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING, ANGER MANAGEMENT COURSE AND WORK ON THEIR PEOPLE SKILLS. YOU JUST LOST FUTURE BUSINESS AND A LOT OF CLIENTS. This is in a rundown area of the Bronx. The street is very sketchy. I mad an appointment for 1:30. I got there early and waited for my 1:30 appointment. I spent 20 minutes knocking and ringing the bell before anyone showed up to open the door even though someone was in there setting up for a party. Once I was let into the place, I was told that the person I was suppose to meet with Anice, left to the store to go purchase something and would not be back for a while. Some man showed me around the place. For the $1400 they were asking for the rental, the place should have been in better condition. The chairs were mismatch, the floor was uneven, the place had no natural light coming in. It was dark and closed in. I have seen better spaces in basements of buildings. In essence, this place is very low class. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Remember anything looks good in pictures if the angle is right and you crop the picture. Don't waste your money.
