I try to make my purchases at…read morelocal businesses when I can, even though I can often find the same fabric several dollars a yard cheaper online. I was really disappointed at a recent visit. I couldn't find the very basic fabric I was looking for, and in addition, a staff member was very condescending, which was very uncalled for. It's hard because there really is not a great selection of fabric stores in this area, but I will go back to purchasing most of my fabric online. I like to take my business where I am treated with respect.

Also, they cater for punch needle & appliqué. There are some lovely handmade wooden bread boards, dyed in primitive colors. The shop owners father has made them & if I remember correctly, he's in his 80's. They are so lovingly made! The shop owners name escapes me (my apologies) but she was lovely. She totally engaged with me & was so helpful when I asked questions. I genuinely look forward to getting back there in the future, I just wish this shop was my local. Also, they have another shop a few doors up with primitive pictures, candles, decor etc. It's so worth a visit if that's where your interest is.

When I entered in I was immediately greeted by the staff. They asked if I was looking for anything in particular and when I looked around I said everything. Lol! If you hobbies in needlepointing, cross stitching, knitting, journaling, etc, this is the place for you. I left with some washi tapes, pens, needle minders, and more pens. Lol. This store is the perfect place for the hobbies I enjoy in life. It's definitely a great place to checkout if you're starting a new hobby or just want to pick up some new items.

Recently, my mother decided to downsize and move closer to me - she gifted me the fabled dining room. Whilst still in love with the furniture, the fabric she chose didn't work for our house. I found MC Interiors & Fabrics online as still relatively new to our home. Their reviews were fantastic. Not only are their prices reasonable, their workmanship is PHENOMENAL and done quite quickly. My dining room looks exactly the way I hoped. I am grateful to have found them. They are professional, so very skilled and simply lovely to work with on this project. I was so impressed by my first interaction with them, I brought my mom to the store so she could have some chair cushions recovered. While I don't have pictures of her chair - let me assure you it looks fabulous - it takes quite a bit to impress my mother. She remains impressed. I repeat, my mother in her 80's was blown away. Lisa is very skilled and knowledgable as she offered to make arm covers with the new upholstery. However, through research and trying new sofas that offer higher seating, I decided it would be best to go with an option where I would sit higher, making it easier to stand back up after sitting for a while - that's not as easy as it used to be at my age now. This place is amazing!!…read more The owner Angie is one talented and kind lady! It was urgent for me to have a garter embroidered for a bride. Wedding was next day. The company who initially made the garter sent the wrong one to me. I was in LA. Wedding in Frederick, M.D. Company who I had ordered garter from was not getting back to me....what a nightmare. Expressed it to M.D. She was one of the two who said they would make time to embroider after calling 20 places. Had to have it done same day. The delicate lace was a concern Angie said but would give it her best shot and it came out SO BEAUTIFULLY!! Better than the company who made the garter!! Upon bringing it in, she was done 1 hour later. She has top of the line equipment also!! Not to say she will be free all the time for last minute jobs but this shop owner goes out of her way for her clients and cares!! You will not go wrong with her for small or big jobs!! Below is the long story...... Tried to find someone here to fix error. No one had time to fix garter and no one had time to embroid it even if itwere fixed. It was last minute. Found a amazing bridal shop in LA called Bella Wedding Bridal. The best wedding dress shop in the country!! They removed the wrong initials on garter and replaced it with beautiful matching lace of garter. They also tried to help me find someone to embroider calling all over town. However, no one had time and too last minute. I had to express by 5pm to M.D. At least I thought bride will have garter on wedding day and will get another one to her for her keepsake. Expressed to M.D. then thought to call around to ask if anyone can embroider garter. No one had time etc. Found Angie at Embroider Me. She said she would give it a shot given lace and machinery. She did not want to damage so she would take a look first. She told my friend to bring it in right away. 1 hour later it was done and AMAZING!! Better than the company I had ordered from and with the correct initials at that. Angie had a very busy schedule but she made time and did the best of the best embroidery and saved the day!!
