Storefront of probably the best hoagie chain on the East Coast!
    Steven B.

You can't throw a stick in the Philly area without hitting a hoagie place! Of course, many of them are little Ma & Pa private joints and lots of them make a damn good hoagie. And then there is Primo which is a sizable chain. Across all of them there are hundreds if not thousands of reviews and four things stand out. Two are good and two are not but you've got to give it up to them for consistency. 1. The hoagies here are expensive. Most people get the "Primo" size which is about 10". You're going to pay at least $2 and maybe $3 more for your sandwich then most other places. That's a lot of extra dough for one sandwich. In most cases you can count on a sandwich and chips lunch to go over $10. 2. The service at his location is poor but what's weird is I've found that to be true at most every location I visit. The staff has this don't-give-a-damn attitude that is really annoying. It's so consistent I think they must train them that way. 3. They use very high quality meats, cheeses, and bread. Lots of folks say that and I agree with them. You can tell just by looking at your sandwich that it's top quality. 4. Finally, it's a very, very good hoagie. The flavors work together well and the portion size is good. The roll is amazing as long as you like the "hard" Italian style. I love the "Diablos" variety. This location is often mobbed. Folks are willing to put up with #1 and #2 in order to enjoy #3 and #4. It's a great sandwich but the overall experience is three stars for me.

    More bread than meat!

This used to be one of our favorite places but it's went downhill fast! If your going to charge the same prices keep your food the same. We don't want to eat more bread then meat or we would have ordered the roll! Stayed away for a while and figured today let's give them a try again, nope! No change! What happened here. Giving it a 2 star cause the roll was fresh.

    Italian Diablo ‍

Young kid was working or lack of working. Telling customers it will be an hour then going back to playing on his phone. Now for the food. Ordered 2 Diablo's one tuna and one Italian. What did we get? Well complete dissatisfaction and disappointment. We received 2 ham Turkey and cheese sandwiches. You must have picked up the wrong order! Sadly, not the case. Oh and the guy in the black shirt was just sitting on he rear yelling at his kids running rampant in the kitchen was a nice touch too.

Awesome service! Great RARE roast beef! Always go above and beyond to make an order right. Thanks!

They weren't sure they had enough beef for this sandwich due to others ones that were being made. Guess that order got screwed.

This place is so overrated. "Overstuffed" with air maybe. I ate there years ago and the sandwiches were huge. Now they charge $11.59 for a ten inch sandwich that is half empty. Hopefully they close up shop soon. Primo is hardly what they have become. Lamo is more like it.

My 100th Yelp Review is way overdue, but am happy it is a momentous one…read more As this was a dinner of a lifetime. It was the second weekend in December and we arrived on a cold night to Eddie V's. With the chill in the air, it was a pleasant surprise to see valet parking available for patrons. We pulled up, the young man was so quick and friendly & we headed inside. We had a 7:30pm reservation and could see the restaurant was packed. Lots of holiday cheer around the bar area for sure. Our coats were checked. We waited quite some time in the corridor, however after about 10 minutes a staff member appeared with a tray offering of champagne, for all who were waiting. This was an exceptional consideration. After about 10 more minutes we were seated. In the back room of the restaurant, back corner, along side their Christmas tree. The ambiance was only made more perfect by the birthday card and confetti they had adorned the table with. We started with cocktails. My signature Sapphire Martini with Blue Cheese Olives. Spot on. Perfect dirty, only a vermouth kiss and big ole hand stuffed olives. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned. It was with a specific rye on menu that was not available at the time. The server had them substitute Whistle Pig 12 (complimentary without upcharge). This again was so considerate. Our server was so attentive, generous, complimentary, careful and helpful. We loved having him. Our Food- The bread was warm, crusty and chewy. Along with the creamy, fatty butter flaked with salt and chives. We ordered our appetizers- Oysters, Calamari and Dumplings We loved having the opportunity to try multiple varieties of oysters. They all tasted clean and distinct. My husband loves horseradish, so it was fantastic to see a side offering of just that, with the cocktail sauce and mignonette. And the lemon was in a bag!!!! The Calamari was a joy. Asian flair, crisp veggies, the calamari sang in texture and light fry. And cashews!! Squid and cashews. Inspiring. We also tried the Wagyu Dumplings. Plump, savory pillows. The beef was tender and flavorful. The wasabi cream gave a zing. Our meal had the best start. For entrees, my husband ordered the Lamb Chops. I ordered the Sea Scallops. Sides we had - the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. (We had leftovers, lolol) The plating for this Lamb was so strategic. It sat atop its Chimichurri Butter Sauce just the bottoms dabbling in it. So at your desire- to dip at whatever length the lamb, into the sauce, or eat the lamb alone. This dish was incredible and genius. My Scallops were seared spot on. Golden crust but a mild, clean, sweet inside. Cooked exactly. The pepitas gave a nice crunch and the squash puree gave a seasonal spin. But the scallops stood on their own and it was perfect. The Asparagus had bite, was not woodsy and not over seasoned. Just a well cooked vegetable. The Lobster Mashed Potatoes was butter heaven. Creamy, the huge chunks of lobster were swimming, and no potato peels, so smooth & decadent. We were stuffed so nixed dessert, however- a birthday dessert arrived. What a show! Flambé hooray!!! A firey plate with bananas, a coffee chip ice cream and chocolate cookie cake. We ate it happily, (hating ourselves later, for being so stuffed). This dessert was so sweet in gesture and taste. An ideal ending. This was sincerely the most care we have ever felt dining out. We felt like (and ate like!) a King and Queen. The thoughtfulness that went into our night gave miracle service. Model class, truly magical, and unprecedented. Thank you Eddie V's for a birthday experience so incredible in food, small touches and care that I will treasure and feel special for forever.

Last night, we dined at Eddie V's Prime Seafood at King of Prussia Mall with a 5:15 PM reservation…read moreon a busy Saturday night. The restaurant was completely packed, and by the time we left, there was a crowd gathered out front waiting--definitely a popular spot. Inside, the two-person tables were set quite close together, making the space feel a bit tight, and the noise level was quite high throughout the restaurant. Service was a highlight. Our server, Nadine, was warm, friendly, and attentive. She answered our questions with ease and always had a welcoming smile, and the bussing team kept our water glasses filled without us ever having to ask. We started with the complimentary warm bread and butter, which is always a nice touch. We were also each served a fried oyster called amuse, which was a pleasant surprise. I had the crab cake appetizer, followed by the Big Glory Bay king salmon with a side of crab fried rice with mushrooms. My husband ordered the Wagyu dumplings and the Norwegian salmon. I enjoyed my dishes--everything was well-prepared and flavorful. However, my husband wasn't particularly impressed; he found his dishes to be average and not especially memorable, which made the overall experience feel a bit uneven. While the restaurant delivers on ambiance and solid service, the food didn't quite rise to the level you might expect for the price point. Overall, it feels like an elevated mall restaurant--pleasant, but slightly overpriced for what you get.

They have a solid happy hour menu (one of the few places around that still does half off apps without changing the portions) and weekly specials are great, too. My favorite is their taco Tuesday. $5.00 margs (they make their marg mix in house no pre-made surgery stuff!), $2 tacos, and $12 enchiladas which is a healthy portion and very fresh! My go to for appetizers are their honey way wing bites and the eggplant! As far as entrees go I always rotate between their salads and the short rib melt. Sometimes I wish the melt had just a bit more of the horseradish cheddar (I have asked for extra in the past) but overall it is very flavorful. Their menu does rotate every so often. Many things stay on for a while but if you see something missing, that is why! The owners work extremely hard and are always present. Wait staff is always friendly, too. Give this place a try if you haven't already!

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. -Husb and I had a 7:00 reservation. We weren't sat at a table until 7:17. Ok, not ideal, but no sweat. -Sat for at least 15mins, no water, no drink menus. Starting to get restless and very hungry. -manager came over and asked if we had been helped and we said no. He said he'd get us some water and I asked for a drink menu. No apologies from him. He asked one person to get us water then walked walked across the dining room to ask someone else to get us a drink menu. -we received water, bread, and a drink menu. Okay! Things are looking up! -The drink I wanted they didn't have the ingredients for. Bummer. I ordered a Gin cocktail it was syrupy and sweet. I did not complain, but I could not finish it. -We ordered lobster bisque and wedge salad to start. Soup was fine, not very creamy. The wedge salad doesn't come with bacon! You have to ask to add for an extra cost. BONKERS -our steak came and one of our sides, but we didn't have any steak knives, which was pure torture. As we both tried to make eyes with anyone who could grab us a knife, I notice our steak is wrong :( it has crab and berenase instead of the crab stuffed shrimp. -we ask for steak knives from another server and told her about the steak. She gives us the knives, but takes our steak away. I SHOULDN'T HAVE SAID ANYTHING. Now we have sides that we are picking at while we wait for our steak. -the server returns with the same steak my husband attempted to cut with his butter knife, with the sauce scraped off and possibly regrilled? Yikes. We are desperate to eat it, and say nothing. -we are hurrying to eat and trying to make eyes with our server for the bill because we are not going to make it to our movie on time. We paid over $150 for lackluster service and mediocre food. I think that they must have been understaffed, because the restaurant wasn't very busy, yet I saw several people who were dining who were clearly as disappointed and confused as we were. The manager was not being helpful to his staff. He seemed quite young, immature, and really uninterested in providing support to his staff, but rather giving them orders while they are already overwhelmed. Icing on top of the cake? I have absolutely no idea what happened in the first 10 minutes of the movie, Marty Supreme. We were late due to the aforementioned series of events. It's rare we get a night out, and we would never waste our time and money coming back to this place. Lesson learned. Shoulda checked the reviews!
