Tried this shop out for the first time last week. Had their cheesesteak sub and fries. Both were awesome. Dressed up my cheesesteak with their free options (lettuce, tomato, pickles, hot and sweet peppers) and made it a cheesesteak hoagie. Loved it so much that I returned to order the same thing again two days later. Plan to go back often to try some of their other sandwich options and loaded fries. The fries are much better than fast food fries and one of me and my son's favorites. read more

I wanted to give 5 stars, but it's hard to ignore a mistake that costed me the enjoyment of my sandwich. I gave 4 stars because of the amazing service & recs by Matthew & the overall experience. Customer service- top notch. It was our 1st time visiting any Capriotti shop. We ordered 2 sandwiches & fries to-go. Meatball sandwich- this topped the list of the best meatball subs by chain restaurants across the country. The article popped up on my browser this morning, I told the wife- let's get one for lunch! It didn't disappoint. Delish. Fries- they were sprung on us by Matthew & we're SO GLAD. He said they served the best fries, & it's true. omg. Flattened steak fries, salty & hot & crispy & dreamy & they didn't make it home. :) Classic Italian- The meat & Liscio roll- winning combo. Unfortunately, it wasn't made correctly. The toppings are listed on the menu description (& we repeated verbally) yet they didn't make it on the sandwich. Barely any mayo at all, some parts were completely dry. No onions, no tomato, no oregano. Yet, a whole jar of hot pepper relish. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, it's just lettuce a couple of sweet peppers and a whole bunch of hot pepper relish. That's it. (Also, we already ate half the sandwich and no sweet peppers are on the half we already ate. So I thought that they forgot the sweet peppers too!) anyway, it's not the cheapest sandwich available, the two medium sandwiches and large fries was over $30. At that price point, I'm expecting a little more attention to detail. It's disappointing to bite into the sandwich, all I could taste was a mouthful of spicy vinegar because that was basically the only topping they put on the sandwich. It was just okay. We had the Bobbie and the cheese steak fries. The Bobbie was cold, which was our fault for not confirming, but we order this type of hoagie at a lot of other places and have never gotten a cold one. The cranberry sauce was not the best, and the stuffing was subpar. The turkey might have been okay if it was hot, but with it being cold it wasn't so great. We got the large and oh boy was it big! You could totally split a large between 2 people, or maybe 3 depending on how hungry everyone is. The cheese steak fries were good but could have been better if the fries were crispier. They were cut really thin so I'm not sure why they weren't crispier, but other than that the flavor was good and they were definitely the meals highlight. The staff could have been a little friendlier, but they weren't unfriendedly. The store was clean overall but I did take issue with the one employee that was taking orders and making sandwiches that didn't think she needed to change her gloves in between touching the register and touching the food. read more

Food first: I wanted an Italian grinder, but they don't do those, so they suggested an Italian grilled sandwich OMG. This was so incredible I don't think I can ever go back to a regular cheesesteak. It's like a cheesesteak but with grilled Italian cold cuts and cheese some peppers. Just deadly. Don't get their very large one unless you want to take home leftovers. The smaller sizes are more than ample. The food was great. Customer service & the level of friendliness + how clean the store was, was not satisfactory though. Also, I'd like to point out that I saw a review complaining about certain workers/yelling/altercations b/w workers occurring in front of customer & the "business" responding to the comment saying the individuals had been let go- they hadn't been though because the individuals in the photo were both working the day I arrived. Capriotti's makes awesome hoagies. Having shredded Butterball Turkey for a turkey hoagie is wonderful - plenty of meet and delicious. Italian sandwich was just right, and they put the hot chopped peppers on the side as requested. I do think this location needs more staff in the evening - just had 2 gentlemen on 5-13-24 Matthew seemed to be in charge and was very conscientious and coordinated everything and they were both really quick considering the number of tickets that were coming in over the internet, delivery people picking up orders, and people coming in and ordering. Matthew even hooked up my grandchild's meatballs in a cup with the roll on the side just like she likes it. I tried to call 4 times the phone number that was online for the shop and it wouldn't go through they said it didn't ring. I went over because I was craving a turkey sandwich. I think the phone line was just overwhelmed by all the orders - great food and so many ticket orders coming out from the phone. I watched as Matthew took control and his partner backed him up in every way. They were so conscientious and caring about doing a good job in a timely manner and were coordinated together and didn't take the stress out on the customers - great customer service and they were a team. So I was dying to try some of the sandwiches, after I saw a review on FB. I stopped in and got several for our family. I got the "wagu slow be jo". Little did I know it was cold. Here's the thing. The Bobbies were amazing. The fries were off the charts. But the employees. not so much. The woman/girl who took our order sang the entire time we waited for our order. Yes, the entire time. When we walked into the shop, there was a man who looked homeless sitting against the front wall, smoking. We were going to offer to buy him something. Before we could, he walked in the door. Turns out, he was one of the workers. The third member of the crew was a woman who kept going into another room several times within 20 minutes. I have no idea who prepared our food. My point is this: the experience didn't feel special and it should have. Because the food is better than most fast food restaurants. The brand was sullied by the appearance and actions of the crew. I only have one suggestion: give them Capriotti polo shirts. Branded hats. Be proud of your brand. Will I go back? Probably not. What you should know is my wife went there about a year ago and left because the woman behind the register was screaming in an argument with the manager. It took that long to consider eating there again. But it was another disappointing experience. I hope they get their act together and bring their staff up to the level of their product. One last point: my wife suggested Capriotti's may be a chain that gives people a second chance or people with challenging issues, if that's the case, God bless. If not, find an HR person. read more
