Primos seemed like a good company, so we had them install and paint a new garage door for us. A year later the paint is fully peeling off the garage door, and despite bringing it up to them they refuse to do anything about it. They just keep making up excuses for why it may have happened, when it seems pretty obvious they didn't prime it right. Stay away from these jokers if you want something that lasts longer than a year. EDIT: So after talking to them for awhile they just keep trying to gaslight me about it being "normal" for paint to only last a year on a "south facing" garage. If you expect paint on your garage to last longer than a year, and don't want to be gaslit, then avoid these people. read more

Primos tried to charge me over $500 to reset my door after a cable came off, which took the tech 30 min. Tried to tell me "We charge for the service, then we charge labor for performing the service". Ended up negotiating to $300, and that's a lot for 30 min of work, but I just wanted it done and I already had to pay the trip charge. They also offer to give you a discount for a positive review w/photo. I will never do business with Primos ever again. EDIT: The reply by the owner is full of lies. The tech took exactly 30 min. I never tried to fix it myself. These folks are profiteers and scammers. read more

The owner here was rude and tried to intimidate me by telling me if I wrote this review that they would attack my company with a bad review even though they've never done business with my company. They also won't talk to women about pricing they only want to talk to their husbands. Be careful, they lied about the state of our door and tried to charge us twice as much as others in the area who all have awesome reviews. I decided not to be intimidated by their promise to retaliate if I left a bad review because people should know what they are getting into and they, Primo's should be kind and nice to their perspective clients! I'd never use them again! Do NOT TRUST THEIR SUPER HIGH PRICING! And when they tell you that your door might fall and land on your head, they are just trying to push you to spend 2X what you need to spend on your garage door. We used them in the past and they didn't even clean up after themselves, I still have the parts in my garage they left behind! Excellent customer service and experience. I called on a Saturday evening (after the garage wheels became misaligned). After I provided them with my information, I received a text letting me know who the attending technician would be. Not long after that, the attending technician called to verify if it was an emergency or an appointment. The technician provided me with options so I could make the best decision. Once I confirmed it was an emergency, the technician immediately headed to our home. The technician (Aaron) was kind, professional, and knowledgeable and provided recommendations for the current repair and maintenance. Oh my goodness, Primos is AMAZING! My day was ruined when according to my daughter, I pressed my car's garage door opener a second time while backing out causing a collision with the lower door panel. The door frame was so bent the door would no longer close. And with all the recent thefts in Boulder since COVID, I was uncomfortable leaving the house with the garage open. I called Primos, and Toby had Jose out to fix it in HALF AN HOUR! Jose is a fantastic human being and a skilled repairman who had my door back up and running in an hour. In fact, he made adjustments to other parts of my garage door opener so it works EVEN BETTER than before I hit it. He even replaced the light bulbs in the motor casing and reattached some loose door trim! THEN, I get on the phone with Toby the owner who waved the fees for such a small repair. I then had to practically tackle Jose and place him in a sleeper hold to stuff some cash into his shirt pocket because I was overflowing with such gratitude. As someone who uses my garage door as the main access to my home I was devastated when it stoped working last week. I reached out to Primos and had an appointment the next day for a tech to come out and diagnose and fix the problem. They showed up on time with a pleasant and helpful attitude. Having three kids the tech Aaron also did a great job happily working while they asked endless questions. They were able to fix my issue quickly and answer any questions I had regarding the process. On top of fixing my broken spring Aaron did some preventative maintenance greasing up all the parts that needed it and tightening the chain. I was scheduled to be home for an estimate between 5 and 6pm. Got home at 4:50pm. Technician showed up at 4:45pm and left since I wasn't home. He thought it was okay to not wait until 5pm. Assumed I could reschedule and wait another hour between 6:30 and 7:30pm. Called the company a couple times. Was told the owner would reach out. That person did not. So, I guess Primos believes it's good business practice to schedule an hour window with a potential client, and only the client needs to keep their commitment to that window. read more

The double garage door on our recently built house got jammed mostly open late on a Friday and I called all around trying to get it fixed quickly. He was able to be there within an hour and fix the cable that night so it would close, and then come back for repairs the next day. Cost was very reasonable (even though it was an emergency type call) and he pointed out quite a few things not done well by the builder that we could improve now or in the future. Also tried replacing just the logic board on the motor rather than a whole new unit, refreshing versus just pushing to sell/replace everything. In the end the door was not only fixed but way smoother and quieter than it was even when the house was brand new! Great service and knows exactly what he's doing. read more

I believe you truly know how good a company is when you are dealing with a problem. Recently my door refused to close and was making quite a racket. I was leaving town so I needed service.
