My sister recommended this salon to me when I was visiting her. It was easy to make an appointment on their website and they even have a discount Mon-Thurs during select times! It was just slightly confusing to find the entrance because my map showed that the entrance was around the corner, but I figured it out! They have a 5 min grace period which is helpful too. The ambiance was nice and they played good music throughout my time there. I just went for a gel manicure and there were a ton of color options available! The nail techs were lovely but the management is the worst. They called us when we were already on our way to the appointment and accused me of booking "the wrong way". When we couldn't move our appointment they called a couple of minutes later and told us to come in. They have locations all over Manhattan + Brooklyn. I've been to multiple and each one does an amazing job. I personally come back to this one because of the crew, and ambiance. The nail technicians are all so sweet and really have an amazing attention to detail. They don't get annoyed or frustrated if I ask for something and don't like it. I always get a gel manicure, which comes with cleaning, hand exfoliation, oils for nail and cuticle health, hot towel and massage before and after. It's on the pricier side, and I'm not saying one cannot get nice nails at a more affordable place, but I don't get my nails done often, so it's worth it for me. read more

It depends what you want out of a manicure and pedicure. If you want to move quickly and get exactly what you want no matter the design/length/area/gel/shape DO NOT go to primp and polish. Although they offer free tea and you get to choose between 3 oil scents it's terrible. $10 to take off any gel, including a gel manicure. $62 pedicure was my experience yesterday, with 0 polish and 0 massage. Does not have proper equipment so everything is hand done and SLOW. The vibe is OK but it really gives rookie with money. I found them to be kind but nothing spectacular. It took a long time, no massages in my $62 pedicure that didn't even include any polish. Just bad. I've tried it a few times and I want to love it because of the proximity to my house but it's just so bad :( read more

Salon is clean, very zen, mask friendly! My friend Di had Tina and said she was great for a honey and milk pedicure! The massage chairs are phenomenal, I highly suggest you come in and bring a friend. They are mask friendly and require that you do wear a mask at this location. Go try this place out! They were able to take me for a pedicure and then when I noticed the massage chairs I added on a 15 minute chair massage. Betty was my technician and she did a quality job on my toes. She paid close attention to my cuticles which I really appreciate but it was her chair massage that made me want to write this review. She did a spectacular job working my neck, back and shoulders. I felt totally relaxed despite the background noise from the salon. It was such a treat after my red eye from SF, so much so I ended up doing 30 minutes. I'm only in town for 8 days but I'm considering coming back for another massage from Betty. Only complaint is the massage chair during the pedicure. My friend and I had an appointment for 5:20 PM. We were promptly seated for our pedicures. The chairs were behind black strings which gave the illusion of being in seclusion away from the manicure bar. The lighting was dim and the music playing at a nice volume. The massage chairs were awesome. Large and can tilt back to get more comfortable. The chair itself added to the experience of being pampered. The woman handling my pedicure was nice. She took her time and was gentle. She made sure the water was hot and that's something I'm always looking for. Who wants a pedicure in luke warm water? The hot stones were soothing and an unexpected treat. Once my pedicure was done we moved over to the manicure bar right outside of the pedicures. The chair was a bit high to get up onto but comfortable. The same person handled my manicure. Again she took her time and was very careful as she worked. The scrub for the hands was a nice touch. My only complaints were my foot dryer was out of order. So it took longer to dry than expected. Also they have to move the manicure dryers around to the customers. They didn't seem to have one per customer so you would have to wait for someone else to finish drying. I didn't have to wait long but it would gone quicker if they had more machines. For both services it was $42. A little more than what I usually pay but the work was good. I will be back. read more

There's a ton of nail places to try in the neighborhood, and I've gone to a few and always find myself coming back here. The salon is well designed, clean and the staff is always friendly. This place is such a rip off. Chair didn't work, the "hot stone massage" they describe is totally BS, it's basically a girl quickly rubbing lukewarm rocks on your ankles for 3 seconds and then calling it a day. I had to tell my technician to go back and actually pumice my heels because she just quickly went over my foot and didn't take any time to make sure my feet were even smooth. On top of it, I tried to make my pedicure somewhat worth the expense by asking to add on the 10 minute massage, only to be told that they didn't have time for that. Why wouldn't the salon factor in that people may want to actually use the add on options and give a cushion of 10 minutes between appts? Funny thing is, my appt started about 8 minutes later then what I reserved so.... This place is elitist nonsense, you can go to the less fancy, but much more satisfying nail salons in bushwick and get your money's worth. Total rip off, I won't be coming back. read more

My nail technician, Polly, took extra care of my nails by cutting the corners so they don't grow in all whack. She used sanitary tools that come out of a new, sanitary pouch. The negatives: She seemed rushed and it became apparent when I noticed her paint job was slightly subpar. Secondly, she didn't ask me how I wanted my nails shaped.
