We have had an incredible experience at Primrose School in Cherry Hill. Due to relocation, we have tried out quite a few daycares in the PA/NJ area, but none have compared to the care, dedication and attention that both our pre-school-aged child and infant receive at Primrose. The staff and teachers are truly a part of our "village," and have helped both our children flourish and grow. The facilities are also great. The amount of outdoor space available for varying age groups is like nothing I have seen before. Plus, they provide breakfast, lunch and snack. The place is a fugazi. Dont be fooled by the brand new facility, owner and administrators are incompetent. Our children were sent home with misdiagnosed hand foot and mouth that our pediatrician just told us to call in for the required return to school note. Our kids had to quarantine for 10 days, on 5 separate occasions, within a 3 month span. Owner pockets the tuition money during that time period, as the tuition is not reimbursed and he does not pay his staff when they have to quarantine. Scumbag. Our children's teachers were great though. Unfortunately we were only able to speak to them through the window of the classrooms once every few months. All communication with them through the app was moderated by Trudy the admin, who is wildly incompetent. read more

It's March 1st and I have used 3 weeks of vacation due to this horrible place. If you're a working parent (family) STAY AWAY. This review is more to protect other families rather than hurt this school. Even though I have a lot of resentment of this place. Like all the other reviews here and on google - they just want your money. Daycares are a business, and I'm not naïve enough to think they're all just there to love my child. But, wow. It's a cash grab. Constant closures, treating staff poorly and a confused and rude director. Unfortunately, the teachers are the only good part of this school and you're never allowed to talk to them except once a month through a window while 10 other parents wait impatiently behind you. The owner wants your money. He doesn't care about your kid. He doesn't care if the school closes down every other week for 10 days (not an exaggeration) and parents are out of work. CASH GRAB. After 6 months of anger, frustration and a true hatred of this place, we finally got out just as I was on the verge of losing my job due to excessive time off. Primrose of Cherry Hill is absolutely fantastic. My 4th child recently started!!! I have had experience with literally every classroom as I have sent 4 children. The teachers are phenomenal and the school is extremely well run. Miss Trudy the administrator does a fantastic job and is always available for assistance, physically greeting you everyday, but being totally accessible via phone/email for anything. The younger classrooms have a great curriculum, are kept very neat and have loving, enthusiastic teachers that care about the kids. The older classrooms have excellent curriculum and have prepared my children extremely well for 1st grade. I highly recommend the pre-k and kindergarten programs. If you are deciding between private/public kindergarten, the flexibility of hours for a working parent is great, the teachers are able to give more individualized attention, and the kids truly learn so much. I would highly, highly recommend each and every classroom here. Miss Trudy and all of the administrative staff are phenomenal, and the extra add in programs (sports, yoga, charity events, etc.) really make it such a community. Prior to finding my home at Primrose, I had enrolled in other daycares. They do not even compare to the experience here. Thank you Primrose for taking such great care of my children!!! read more

I would not recommend this place at all. They value the dollar sign over the care of your child. My child had a accident and a teacher yelled at her. She then told her she was going to send her to the baby class. Other children in the class were yelled at for accidents as well. When we brought it up with Trudy , she said " she would never yell at your child." This was the same response she told multiple parents. Also my child was getting bullied by another student and we told Trudy about it by email. Never got a response back except when we pulled our children out of school. Another thing that worried me was the constant out break of hand foot and mouth right before we left. I would stray away from this place. The shiny bells and whistles aren't always worth it. read more

We have been attending Primrose for almost a year now and although it's not perfect, I can say with absolute certainty that this is THE BEST daycare in Cherry Hill. The facilities are beautiful and they have multiple playgrounds which both my boys love. In the midst of COVID, they have a high tech automatic temperature check at the entryway and they also offer extracurricular sports activities (additional pay) from outside instructors who come in to teach the children golf, soccer, tennis and baseball. I am also very impressed by (and appreciate) the level of background checks that this daycare has to ensure that the teachers hired are highly qualified. The director Trudy is great about communicating with parents especially when there have been a few COVID outbreaks. The classrooms are always sanitized and I feel that careful precautions are made. There are open air conferences with the teachers during the open house times which is a great way to interact with the teachers given the circumstances. We also love that there's an app where we can communicate with teachers/staff and get picture updates on how the kids are doing. We moved here from San Francisco and were at a Bright Horizons daycare which was very corporate and Primrose has the smooth organization of a corporate daycare with a fantastic curriculum for the kids while having the feel of a smaller daycare. My only gripe is that for the infant classroom, all the babies are on different sleep schedules so when one baby is falling asleep, another one may be waking up. My baby was barely sleeping so we had to pull him out but he's back now in the toddler classroom and is thriving. My suggestion is to put all the infants on the same schedule (with 2 naps) and to let the parents know before enrolling to try and put them on a schedule that matches what they have at the daycare. The reason why I give 5 stars even though it's not perfect (let's be real: there is no perfect daycare) is because the positive most definitely outweighs any negatives and the staff/teachers are all so wonderful not to mention the other parents that I chat with while waiting during pick up time. read more

I have sent my kids to several schools and Primrose is one that I would NEVER recommend to anyone. The director, Trudy, unfortunately does not know what she is doing, at all. And the owner, Ankit, is rude and very unprofessional. We are Muslim and our religious rights were violated by my son being given food that was not kosher. When I called to find out what was going on they tried to lie to me. After speaking with the owner I realized that they do not care one bit about their students or the families. They only care about themselves. The owner tried to turn it around and say that I was lying about my son being fed something he should not have been fed and then hung up the phone on my face. The attitude of Ankit was a disgusting one and definitely not one that an owner of a school who is responsible for hundreds of kids should have. Instead of accepting the schools mistake and trying to make it better he tried to save his own reputation by making it look like I was at fault. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE. There are sooo many more schools out there that would benefit your child. Do not send your child here. read more

My family and I had such a disappointing experience with The Primrose School of Cherry Hill leadership that I feel compelled to write a review. It is important to contextualize this review with the caveat that the classroom teachers that our daughter had were phenomenal. We always felt that our daughter was cared for and appreciated by them when we were enrolled. However, soon after enrolling our daughter there in the summer of 2019, we began to feel that the school operated off of a highly corporate model that did not truly value the school's families or their needs. We had no parent-teacher conferences, and open communication between parents and teachers was actively shunned. In fact, we got a number of emails from the Director Trudy during our time claiming that parents were not to have any direct communication with teachers, and that any conversations would be moderated through the administration. There were directives not to share email addresses and effectively not to have any one on one conversations with the teachers. This was challenging, but at least workable prior to COVID when I had contact during drop off and pickup. After COVID hit, and parents were no longer able to go into their children's classrooms, it became impossible to have any communication or contact directly with our daughter's teachers. We tried using the portal to communicate, but messages were never returned. Unfettered access to classroom teachers is one thing that I understand administrators would want to restrict, but having NO direct access to the educators directly responsible for providing care to my child was not acceptable. There were times that issues came up (e.g., insufficient seating in classrooms at meal times) in which we promised follow-up that never happened. The owner posts frequently on Facebook to promote the business but is never available to parents facing issues or concerns. We never met him, and were never offered an email address with which to communicate with him. Compared to other preschools I am familiar with, the school did not go out of the way to create detailed operational plans following COVID (aside from a short 2 minute video) and there were multiple instances in which my spouse and I felt that precautions were no being taken seriously. Multiple times I came to pick up my child, for instance, I saw school leaders conversing with staff without wearing masks in common areas viewable to parents through the glass doors, despite large and prominent signage on the property indicating that face coverings were required, and despite me sending email reminders. I expressed concerns about mask compliance in classrooms since there was a disregard for the protocol in public areas of the school. Finally, and most upsettingly, we decided to withdraw our daughter in the summer of 2020 after feeling that the benefit she was receiving from her wonderful teachers and other students was not enough to justify the stress of having our daughter in a large top-down center in the midst of COVID. Despite having been a paying customer for over a year, and having had our daughter enrolled there full-time with the exception of March-June 2020, when I emailed the Director Trudy to inform them we would be pulling our daughter we got no response back. Having entrusted this school to care for and nurture our toddler, we were incredibly saddened not even to have an acknowledgement of our email, though we received other information indicating the email had been received (e.g., were taken off he list serve). Our nearly 3 year old daughter was confused and distressed by not having the chance to hear brief messages from her teachers and/or the administrators she had come to know and love in the year she was there.I would not recommend Primrose to any one looking for a truly family-centered daycare/preschool experience. There are better options out there in our opinion. read more
