if I could give them 6 or 7 stars, I would. About three weeks ago, while cleaning in my grandmother's home, my brother found a piece of jewelry I purchased about ten years ago. It was a ring that had significant sentimental value that I thought had been lost. However, when I bought the ring, I needed to increase its size to what I learned at Spivak's was a 9.5. That was because when I purchased the ring, I weighed about 180 pounds more than I do now. So, having found this ring, I went to Spivak's to see if they could resize the ring to a smaller size for me so that I could wear it. Unfortunately, they could not. They were honest in telling me that trying to reduce the size of the ring to that extent would result in changing the entire character of the ring. The shape would be destroyed. They also shared that if another jeweler told me anything else, they were likely leading me astray, But, they still didn't leave me without a compromise. A ring guard! They charged me nothing AND cleaned another ring that I had with me that belonged to my grandmother. I can't say sufficient positive things about this business, the professionalism, and courtesy that they showed me. So this is a 100% family owned a run business. My fiancée and I walked in there a little nervous looking at rings. But you get introduced to everyone. They were so warm and welcoming. They listened to what I wanted, pointed me in the right direction, and gave us honest advice. Everyone kinda chimed in and even when you went to a different person it all felt so seem less. They had wine, champs, beer, a hot chocolate bar, all kinds of tasty treats. The family is a riot, I swear they could have their own reality TV show. After an hour with the whole family, I just wanted to invite them all over for dinner. The prices seemed very fair. And they even resized my ring first thing the next morning bc they saw how excited I was to have it. And you never got the impression that it's just a job. They were excited, passionate and knowledgeable about their pieces. I don't buy expensive jewelry that often but if I ever wanted to, I don't think I could ever go anywhere else. OK, so the owner of the store thinks he can just beat you down. I had a wedding ring fixed, but the wife who is a comedian, never told me that the finish on my ring would be changed. Also, they never told me when I left the ring their work was not warranted. When I pick the ring back up, the owner told me he could but the finish back on for another $150. Rather than just argue, I left. They knew when I left I was unhappy and BLAME me for their poor communications. Be ware of this store. The owner is arrogant. Okay! I'd give this place more than five stars if I could. I accidentally broke my grandma's necklace mid-way through a trip and was on my way to Philly. I called ahead to see if they do same day repairs, they said it was possible but since it's close to closing they didn't wanna promise me they definitely could in case it couldn't be done, which is totally reasonable, but they welcomed me to come in for them to take a look. The location is easy to spot in a shopping center with plenty of parking. I walked in and I was really impressed with the vibe right away. Very welcoming, friendly and outgoing. This is clearly a high end place that cares about high end quality. There were a few customers working with jeweler associates when we walked in, they were returning customers and really satisfied with their experience there, so they keep coming back. The jeweler was really friendly and was able to fix my necklace within a few minutes for a very reasonable price. While I waited another associate was incredibly friendly, offered us espresso and kept us company while we waited. DEFINITELY give this place a shot for any occasion!! read more

My boyfriend was thrilled by the initial service he had; he picked a beautiful engagement ring for me and I know that time was spent to help him decide on a perfect ring. This store has a wonderful display of beautiful things. However, my ring required to be downsized and this is where things were not as nice as the initial meeting. I bought the ring back and was concerned about how this process was going to work. I asked a simple question and the response was not what I expected. It was handled roughly and in a non-professional manner. I walked out of the store a little dismayed but LOVE the ring so I let it go. The ring was sized in a timely manner and when I got it back I noticed that the diamonds were sitting lower in the prongs and wasn't sparkling as much as it was prior to sizing. My boyfriend called to ask if the diamonds had to be removed and reset during the process only to receive the same rough, non-professional and mean response over the phone with a quick hang up from this jeweler. This experience put a damper on what should be a thrilling moment as he upset both of us and we only asked what a consumer has a right to know. I was reluctant to write this review but it has left a negative impact on what should have been a wonderful experience. I love this ring and want to keep it but it's hard to look at it without thinking about the manner of how we were treated. I will have to take this ring elsewhere to get a professional opinion and help in making it look the way it did when I initially got it. I am sure if I call for help, this jeweler will treat me in the same manner and it is unacceptable as I am sure this ring was not cheap.
