The post went straight out the side of my bone and caused an infection that is causing lots of issues. Dr Matthews NEVER came forward and said he messed up, nor did he take an X-ray after the surgery and correct the issue. Every dentist I've seen has said this is HUGE AND HORRIBLE mistake and are shocked when they see the X-rays, and have called it a "VERY BAD DAY" that Matthews must've had. If you don't want this to happen to you, and get the cold shoulder when you confront him to fix it, then go elsewhere.

The athletic trainer recommended Dr. Doman and called to see if they could accommodate an emergency visit, and they were happy to do so. As you can imagine, being in an unfamiliar state with an injured child is terrifying. However, we were greeted by the kindest staff member (Katie, I think her name was) who got her to a room right away. They were a calm, comforting voice in a chaotic time, to say the least, and were actually able to reposition and save her teeth. We were stunned! Aside from the injury itself, my daughter came out of the experience in high spirits with only minor pain. It was a masterclass in emergency dental care, and that is not an exaggeration! Dr. Doman took the time at the end of our visit to help us understand the injury and what to do when we got back home, even coordinating with her dentist in California to ensure they had the x-rays and other notes from our visit to help continue her care at home. And boy would you be wrong. What they didn't tell you is that the cost and billing for services WILL change for you, and that $90 service will now be 10x or more. Stay away from this place. I explained that I had heard patients often say funny or disoriented things during emergence from anesthesia and wanted to be present for that personal moment as his parent. They agreed to notify me. However, when staff finally came to get me, my son was already fully awake and had been moved to another room. The assistant stated they "have to move patients to another room right after the procedure" and added that my son "didn't say anything funny." I was deeply disappointed. As a parent, this was a once-in-a-lifetime moment I had specifically requested. It is not the staff's role to decide what is or isn't meaningful to our family. This experience disregarded basic patient and family rights to participate in care and be present during key recovery moments, especially after sedation. We were not given even a few minutes to accommodate a reasonable, pre-communicated request. Instead, the focus appeared to be on quickly moving patients through rather than providing patient-centered care. Wisdom teeth removal is an expensive procedure, and families expect better respect for their rights and wishes. I will not recommend this practice to others.

I asked to speak with the owner, and was surprised when I was hung up on. I called him back and back and pleaded for them to help me relieve the pain of the affection. She laughed and said whatever. And then hung up. Now the work that the dentist did on my mouth over the past three years, has left me with what is called chronic ulcers. The surrounding teeth or chipped by the dentist and these chips caused white painful sores on the bottom of my tongue. Sores it to this day have not healed. Sores that the dentist ignored, until I asked him about them, and he referred me to someone else. Nothing was done to alleviate the pain from the sores, sores that I still have to this day. Chronic is caused by the dentist by his work, and were not treat it. I was under the understanding that if the Dennis knew something was wrong with something in your mouth, they have the obligation to tell you. At Family Legacy Dental this is not true. The dentist is there to visit with the nurses, the dentist is there too except Medicaid, did not except the fact that the price they receive is lower. The dentist does not work with people who are individuals without support systems and have disabilities like myself and turning us onto the street with a dangerous infection which ultimately required me to go to a doctor, who looked at it, said that the gums were infected, and gave me an antibiotic. He then referred me to a dentist in cares, one Dr. Wiest in Provo. To make a long story short, this dentist does not care about the patients the owner of this practice does not care about the patients the receptionist and the nurses, all of the same type age and ethnicity, do you not care about the patients. A dentist who could have written me a script and sent me on my Way, chose to allow me to leave with an infection the size of a golf ball, very close to my eye sinus and was actually growing to the other side of my face, with that too bad so sad, and a message from the owner which said we do not want to treat you again and you are no longer welcome in our practice. They will not release my entire records to me, even though I paid for them, obviously, they are going to give me copies of papers that I still have that don't really explain anything other thanThe work that they did on my mouth. They would not give me the x-rays, and they would not entertain for even a second helping me. He caused me grief, and the dentist or the owner neither one of them had the courage to confront me one on one. They let the staff tell me. The staff laughed when I mentioned how dangerous my infection was, and the Doctor Who finally did treat me and my family doctor told me that a dentist who operates an office like that is there for the money not for the health of the patients melts. He said it's a shame that that dentist is allowed to practice, and that everybody on Medicaid is basically forced to use that dentist because of the limited amount of doctors that would except Medicaid. I admit I did change several appointments two different times I did have the Covid which required me to change two or three appointments, and then my insurance changed in January which left me in the dark as to whether or not he could still be my dentist. In an emergency situation he chose to not help me, even though all he would've had to do was write a prescription for an antibiotic.
