Recently, Tony and Wilmer moved the items from my 10x15 storage unit to my house. Even with the heat and humidity and cicadas flying everywhere, they could not have been more efficient and professional. They showed up a few minutes early and knew which truck bay to use because of the size of the truck and previous visits to the storage facility. They worked well together and even let me help! Their equipment was first rate and the truck was well organized inside and clean inside and outside. I've always believed that if they don't take care of their own equipment, why would they take care of my things? They were kind enough to move a couple of large items downstairs and inquired if there was anything more they could do for me before they left. I've moved 7 times and this was by far the best experience. I selected Prince Movers because of the price and Karey, who was easy to work with to schedule the move and best of all was pleasant and efficient. I move usually once a year and have used a lot of movers... these guys are organized and are extremely efficient. We had a fairly complex move: picked up items in storage in Maryland, packed up our apartment on the fifth floor of a building in Virginia, quick stop at our storage to get more things, then to the new house. We had some very delicate antiques and some fairly heavy weights, too -- no property was damaged. Throughout the entire day, these guys were in constant motion. They took care of all of our items, were extremely professional and polite, and got our stuff in our new house in tact. I got quotes from a few others who were cheaper, but I've used companies like that before and things get either dented/damaged or there are always more hours or surprise charges at the end to make up the difference. Nothing like that with Prince Movers -- there were no billing surprises whatsoever. I've never written a review for a mover before, so that should tell you something. We hired 3 movers and 1 truck to help move from a 3-level, 3 bedroom townhouse in Alexandria to a 4-level, 3 bedroom townhouse in Chantilly. The crew showed up at 8am on the dot and quickly got to work. They did a great job laying down mats to protect the floors/carpets as they came in and out. They wrapped up all of our furniture and fragile pieces with plastic wrap and moving blankets to protect them from damage. After a highly-stressful move prep period, Prince Movers made things easier. They arrived timely then swiftly loaded furniture and boxes into my U-Haul with skill and care. It was some kind of crazy ninja/sherpa magic the way these guys hand-strapped literally 5-7 boxes to their bodies, stood up like Transformers, then glided down 3 flights of stairs & into my truck for load-in. Mad skill, didn't drop a thing. They packed furniture & boxes in tightly like a Jenga game with my blankets + their paper pads, corked the load with mattress/box spring, then securely tied it all down using my ratchet straps. When I arrived cross-country after several days of driving, things were in fantastic shape. The local movers I used in St. Louis commented on how well-packed the truck was. We can't even begin to describe how amazing Prince Movers is. Justin, Elder and Alfredo were the best crew we could have asked for. They were communicative, professional and personable throughout the entire move - even when they had to deal with rude neighbors and management. The crew arrived on time and immediately got to work. I have had several local and cross country moves, and they were by far the most efficient, careful, thoughtful and hard-working team I've used. It took them literally half the time to pack and load my 3BR home than another very well-known local company took earlier this year. Their estimate was accurate (my move actually ended up costing less than their estimate because they were so fast!) and pricing was fair and straightforward. Literally not one item even so much as dinged and they took time to point out pre-existing scratches and damage. I'd dropped a nicer piece of jewelry and they found it gave it to me directly (as opposed to just packing it) and there were many instances when they asked questions, made helpful suggestions, or took extra care with special items. Mario, Dima, Oscar, and Oscar were unbelievable! We needed to book last minute as our movers dropped out - booked Thursday afternoon for a Sunday morning move. The guys were promptly on time (might have been even a few minutes early!) and were as polite as could be. They very quickly organized the items as t was a two stop move and did not stop for the next 8+ hours!! They took unbelievable care in wrapping some very delicate and old but large furniture. Not a single thing was damaged despite the sheer size and weight of it all and moving it into a very narrow townhouse which is 4 floors!!!. Which was the most impressive part of all! We had multiple pieces that we're impressively huge that we were not sure would fit due to the narrow turns and low ceilings on the stairs. Even if it took multiple attempts - they did not give up but managed to get it all into place without damaging walls or ceilings. They all worked so incredibly hard all day and I would not have blamed them for begrudging us for the office that is located on the fourth floor with hairpin turns and no elevator - but not a word! They were able to fit me in on short notice, and at a time that was convenient for me. The guys who came for the move were on time, very friendly, and hard workers.
