Best movers I've worked with. The team that came out was Raul, Gerson, and Velkin, and they moved about 70 boxes, a piano, a bed, a sofa, a huge dresser, and many various other things with no trouble and with stairs on both ends (the piano is close to 700 lbs and pretty huge; it was impressive). The range for their arrival was 8-9 and they arrived at 8 on the dot. They were communicative throughout, asked questions about where to put things, etc. We had a complication where the reserved spot when we arrived at the new place was occupied already (illegally). They handled it completely professionally, were unswayed, and started moving stuff in anyway from a much less convenient location. They made what would have otherwise been a stressful experience much, much easier. I'll definitely be using them if I ever move again. read more

Very fast movers- moved our one bedroom apartment to a house in about 4 hours. Total cost wash around $500. They did break a few things though- a dresser and several bowls that we had purchased on travel that were packed well with paper and bubble wrap (I'd guess that box was dropped). Unfortunately, getting another company to come pick up the broken dresser for removal was another $110. read more

Holy cow, these guys were great. Just, super-punctual, kind, strong-as-hell! They packed our kitchen for us which saved us a major pain in the tuchas. They moved a piano and an armoire that felt like lead. They tried their darndest to get a couch we wanted downstairs even though it wouldn't fit just because we'd had our hopes set on it. Exceptional Movers.  The entire experience was very professional.  Working with Karey ahead of the move was a great start to the process, she was quick with email responses and really gave me thorough answers.  And the movers - Henry and Alfonso - my move heroes.  They arrived on time and worked their tails off.  They were friendly with me and seemed to genuinely like each other, which really puts you at ease.  The craftsmanship that they showed in packing my fragile items was impressive.  I ended up having much more stuff than I had estimated, yet they came equipped with enough packing supplies to get the job done.  I found out mid-move that my UHaul storage pod reservation was cancelled for no rhyme or reason.  My Prince movers calmed me down, stepped in and recommended a storage pod company which set me up on the spot (Mi-Box, terrific company too).  My Prince movers solved what could have been a huge problem for me in 5 minutes, heroes.  After a long day of packing, they left my condo and unloaded my belongings in a Mi-Box pod in Manassas. I went by my Mi-Box this morning to add a couple things and the skill, care and organization they put into loading my pod was very notable and appreciated.  Thank you for making my move a success. read more

The pricing was clear and as expected. But some things that were supposed to be packed and moved were not, and some that were not supposed to be moved were. I couldn't go back to my old house, so lost all my silverware and a drawer of cooking utensils. The movers did not wear masks, which surprised me. I asked why not but didn't get an answer. First moving we got help from friends (not great idea), second we hire it's really great and third time, use same company like second moving and not great experience and the current moving we try to find in yelp and found this company. Based on their philosophy it's attract us and have good review even though I look higher review but we give a shot AND we so glad we hire them! I moved several months ago and have been meaning to write a review. The experience with Prince Movers was great! Before moving I reached out to several moving companies with estimates. Prince was in the middle and seemed like a good value for me. Some were cheaper, but had horrible reviews, so I didn't want to risk it. I reserved my date for first thing in the morning. Something came up and I had to change my moving time and Prince was accommodating and responsive. You'd think since they had another move that morning they'd be late to mine, but that wasn't the case. They were exactly on time and even called on their way. Amazing communication. I elected to pack my own stuff and everything was ready for them. They were SO efficient and fast moving my one bedroom apartment. I have moved 7 times as a U.S. government employee. In those cases, a contractor comes to your house, packs and loads everything, transports it to your new residence and then unpacks and reassembles everything. It's an expensive venture. This time, I wasn't moving for the government and I would be responsible for paying for the move. I looked at Yelp and did my homework and I decided to go with Prince Movers. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much after years of white glove treatment by nationally known companies like Atlas, Allied, etc... I was wrong. This move was far smoother than any of the others and at a very reasonable price, quite a bit cheaper than I thought it would be. The three guys who came to move my household goods (Henry, Alfonso and Alejandro from truck spot 73) worked carefully and had the 4 bedroom townhouse cleared out in a few hours and delivered and reassembled everything in the new house by early afternoon. Considering that the billing has a by the hour component, I was really quite surprised and impressed. They were quick and treated my stuff like it was their own. We contacted Prince Movers to help us move out of our 1 bedroom apartment. We had requested a two man team, which we thought would be enough to handle our small space. One of the movers, Alfonso, was pleasant enough and very hard-working, the other one named Mario, had a bad attitude from the start. He gave us a hard time as he felt we had too large a job for a two man team since they had to pass through the garage of our apartment complex. He told us how he was calling his boss and that we really should have requested a three man team. At first, we weren't too upset at his behavior. We explained that we didn't know the job was going to be too much and I offered to help out with the smaller items since they were apparently slowing things down. I carried several boxes, a table, and other small items down to the truck for them. We even told them they could leave additional items behind, like our TV, to lessen the load. We will have to return to our apartment later to really finish the job. Fortunately we left enough time on our lease to accommodate that. Our real problem is that the attitude did not improve over the course of the day. When we got to our new place we noticed Mario was slamming boxes down, even those that were marked as fragile. We asked him to be more gentle with our things and he got defensive. We later asked him to place boxes in certain areas, and he ignored our requests and went on about his business, which felt very rude. We allowed him to use the bathroom in our new home and offered him cold bottles of water, just trying to be courteous. This whole ordeal culminated with an argument about the boxes at the end of the day as we were paying our bill. We left Alfonso a $60 tip for his hard work and Mario a much smaller tip due to his behavior, which he felt the need to leave in our mailbox on his way out.  We contacted Prince Movers about Mario's behavior as soon as he and his coworker Alfonso had left our house. They immediately apologized for the poor experience and informed us that they would be taking corrective action. I assume this sort of behavior is not the norm for Prince Movers but I just wish we hadn't experienced the exception. read more

I would think if you are an experienced mover, you wouldn't block the neighbor's driveway and then move like a slug to move the truck when the neighbor needs to get out. I have moved several times and have had other people move next door to me and no one ever blocked my driveway. If you don't want a new angry neighbor I would suggest using someone else. 9/3/19 - A rep or the owner of this moving company sent me an apology and also stating that it is unacceptable that my driveway was blocked. I thank them for that since I never received any kind of sincerity that day from anyone. A simple apology goes a long way. I also took out from my review that it was the whole day, it was not, I was mistaken. The owners of this company seem to know how to resurrect problems and they obviously have a majority of 5 stars which shows they do a good job. If you ever have to block someone's whole driveway, the best thing to do would be to go knock on the door and see if anyone is home and simply ASK if it is ok and find out what time they will have to leave. My car was parked in the driveway and next door the driveway was empty. It doesn't take much common sense that IF you have to block someone's whole driveway, to do it in the one that is empty, especially if you are not going to go knock on the door and ask. Please be courteous and ask, it will prevent any future issues. read more

From covers, boxes and packing tape to dollys and a mat to cover the floor. They were well organized and efficient every step of the way. Absolutely fantastic! I had a bad experience just last year with a moving company, Prince Movers has restored my faith that there are still moving companies out there that can be trusted. I went through the very difficult process of having the hard conversation with my mom that maybe being home alone without nearby friends wasn't such a great idea anymore. The Retirement Village my mom was moving to recommended a company, but to move a one bedroom apartment a mere 45 mins away they were charging a rate that was so astronomical it eclipsed the cost my best friend paid to move his parent's two bedroom condo AND his aunt's one bedroom apartment from Vermont to California. Prince Movers came highly recommended and quoted a reasonable measure of cost and a timeframe that they stuck to. Prince Movers' was exactly the kind of smooth experience we needed during an emotional time of saying goodbye to the family home. The guys showed up exactly on time, were kind and personable, and they not only took care with our items, they even packed a few things that we hadn't been able to pack ourselves. Everything was protected with care and arrived at the Retirement Village in tip top shape. They moved so quickly that our ride to the retirement village had to rush to pick us up because we were done faster than expected. I treated my mom and her friend that was kind enough to drive us to Retirement Village to lunch, and by the time we'd finished eating and had a coffee, the move was done. These guys are awesome! I've moved with them twice, and had a great experience both times. This time I had a full service move from Manassas to Arlington. Before the move, Jon and I were is communication to make sure everything was set. The morning of was Winter Storm Riley, so we had to reschedule. Jon was very accommodating of that and clearly cares about his team. The morning of, the movers were early, worked quickly and carefully and were very attentive. In the new apartment, the couch wouldn't fit through the door, so the guys lifted it up to the balcony and in through the back patio. It was incredible! We used Prince movers yesterday to move us from our apartment in DC to Leesburg and they did an amazing job!! The rate was very transparent because it's 129/hour for two guys and a 24 foot truck (plus 129 travel time) or 149/hour for three guys and a truck (plus travel time) with no hidden fees, additional fees, or taxes. Carlos and Marcos were our movers and I can't say enough good things about them. They not only helped pack everything really well, but they also made a couple extra stops along the way for us to pick up furniture. Since it is a flat rate, they were totally fine in doing that. They also disassembled and reassembled all of our furniture. They were extremely careful with our belongings and used care in everything. They balanced that care by working very hard and quickly though. They put carpet runners down and wrapped all the furniture so nothing was damaged. They were so hardworking - I didn't see them take any breaks at all and I was with them for 11 hours yesterday. I can't say enough good things about Prince Movers because they made the whole process so easy. The owner, Jon, was very responsive on yelp too and very flexible.
