Made a last minute appointment for my granddaughter (age 5). I read many reviews on most of the stylists and decided on Alexus. She was excellent, very patient with me and my granddaughter. She was also gentle with her, she had anxiety about it hurting. Despite me changing the type of service I made the appointment for, she was flexible and reassuring that it was ok. I booked appointments for both of my granddaughters this past Saturday at 1:30pm and 2:00pm. The stylist scheduled for 1:30 had just started on a walk-in, and the 2:00 appointment was shortly after 2:00. By nearly 3:00pm, I went to the front desk. The lady there offered me a refund or to rebook my 1:30pm. I chose to rebook because I wanted both of my granddaughters' hair done. The style she wanted was on the flyer, but I was told no one could do it because it included a silk press. I explained she didn't want a silk press--a crochet would be fine. The lady said the only time available the next day was 2:00pm, which didn't work with our schedule. I specifically asked for a morning appointment to avoid the same delays. She then rebooked us for Monday morning at 10:30am, assuring me my granddaughter would be the first seen. Note: Both girls had six braids, one with crochet and the other with braided ends. I arrived Monday around 10:20am, only to be told by a different lady that no one was available to take down my granddaughter's hair. I was shocked--why wasn't this told to me on Saturday when they rebooked? If I'd known, I would have taken the refund or taken down the 6 braids myself. I explained how unfair this was, especially since the same service had been completed for my other granddaughter just two days before. The receptionist was dismissive and rude. When I asked for a refund, she refused. As I was leaving, she suddenly said they could do my granddaughter's hair--but only if I paid an extra $30 to take the braids down. This was outrageous and inconsistent, as I wasn't charged extra on Saturday. When I pointed this out, she simply said "they must have been just being nice". This is absolutely unprofessional. The lack of consistency, poor communication, and rude customer service were unacceptable. To make matters worse, the stylists looked unprepared and unprofessional. I will be going back to our regular stylist--even though she's busy and requires booking in advance--because her professionalism and customer service are unmatched. This salon's customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. The owner needs to seriously reevaluate who they rent chairs to. read more

Nice shop, but without making C/S a priority this business will never operate at it's highest or best level! First time customer. Appt. with Dee at 9 a.m. Dee never did show up. I did not leave shop until 12:45 p.m. when the style provided on a 4 year old was only a wash, conditioning, and ponytail style. The vibe received from the staff (only 2 in shop unit about noon) was not of love, care, or joy. The stylist that provided service had her headphones in her ears and did not attempt to engage her client. The end result of her work was nice, but it isn't worth the lack of care, conconcern, and C/S received. Going forward, please "do better." read more

My girls are REALLY princesses when they come here! They love the pink salon, they feel like big girls and the stylists are so patient with the kids! They let the kids pick their colors and bows. It was my daughter's first hairdresser experience and I couldn't ask for more! This is the perfect location to bring your little ones to get their hair braided. It is super cute inside and designed with kids in mind - especially those who are princess fans and love pink! When we arrived, the stylist, Vonshe was ready to begin. She immediately began servicing and with no breaks we were finished within less than 3 hours! She was as gentle as she could be. My 4 year old managed to stay put. I highly suggest bringing an iPad and snacks for your little ones - it was a life saver. I brought my own beads but they provide if needed and they added a cute bow. These braids lasted 3 weeks! And could have been in longer but I figured with all the outside play it was time to wash. I'm already looking forward to our next visit! read more

0 If you're thinking about working here. Reconsider.! I'm a master braider for over 15 years. When I started this job I I was excited up until the point that I didn't get paid. I told my manager... and I kept being mislead about how things would work out. I then took it upon myself to reach out to another manager at another location. She helped as much as she could. However that still got us nowhere. I then asked for the higher up contact info. It's now two days after payday. Finally they pay me. The owner Juanda then decides to go on my social media to see that I wasn't happy about being paid and decide to fire me because they didn't pay me. No one understood my frustration about me not being paid on time at all. On the other note the owners are getting paid 60 PERCENT while the workers are being paid 40 PERCENT. You're also being charged to use product which NO one explain this part to me in the interview process. Last but not least this company doesn't have a HR team. The husband is the HR. However he doesn't respond to emails at all.....I emailed him two days before being paid. No response..! The owner pay their stylists VIA CASH APP.!! Which also I didn't know until payday. I asked if they could do direct deposit and I was told no. Everything looks good guys isn't good. I was let go because the owner said that I made the company look bad. My experience is my experience. You all should have handle things differently. Firing someone won't fix you all on how you pay someone and when you pay someone. You all are in desperate need of an HR Team.! read more
