We moved to NJ last year, and we needed to find an apartment remotely beforehand. After doing some…read moreresearch, I was really impressed by how the Crossings looked - the apartments appeared to be slick and revamped, and everyone was really helpful and nice over the phone. We decided to sign a one year lease, and I'm super glad we did! Our experience was very positive and I would definitely recommend the Crossings to anyone else looking to grab an apartment in the area. First, our apartment was just as nice as expected - no bait and switch here. The kitchen had a significant amount of counter space for a 1 bedroom apartment, all of the appliances were brand new (we were overjoyed to have a working dishwasher after our previous apartment failed in that regard), and everything was clean. The location is awesome as well! You have access to trails right outside of your apartment so you can go for a walk or run and enjoy some nature immediately. In general, everything is very well maintained - I always enjoyed the view of the trees across the horizon when first entering the apartment complex. Plainsboro is not a super exciting place to live, but at least the Crossings is very close to the town center, so you can walk and grab some frozen yogurt or something if you want. Maintenance, in general, was responsive and did a good job. Although we never really used it, there's a pool which is quite nice. The exercise room is pretty small and doesn't have a lot of equipment, but at least it was usually pretty empty (at least when I looked). Downsides? I kind of hate large speed bumps, and the ones in the Crossings are pretty gnarly. It makes sense, though, because there are a ton of families that live there, so you have lots of kids running and biking around. They're trying to crack down on kids playing in the parking lots, but I can't imagine they'll have a huge amount of success on that :) Overall, I would highly recommend the Crossings to anyone looking to rent an apartment in Plainsboro!

The management team has changed and Michelle in management fit right in with the former team. Her beautiful personality, her smile and her professionalism makes you feel like you're her family. With everything I need to report, repair, replace or even just a sit down for a minute and let my hair down with her is a blessing that she is around. She is genuinely bubbly and welcoming to all. I can't leave out my maintenance team led by Dave. He makes sure the job is done and done well. No short cuts. He is very approachable, especially with the kids. I attempted to put my 11 year olds grandsons bike together. After it broke down a bit, Dave had no problem helping and teaching him each step it took to fix the problem. Who does that? Dave does. The Cranbury community is well groomed, the amenities are the best and did I say I lived here for 5 years and still in love? Thank you Michelle, Dave and the rest of the staff at Cranbury Crossings, East Brunswick for making my residence, Home!!!

I've lived here for less than 2-3 weeks, and unfortunately my experience has already been very…read moredisappointing. I'm writing this review to share specific issues that new residents should be aware of before applying. The heating system does not properly warm the unit. While the thermostat can be set up to 78, the heat does not adequately reach the bedroom, leaving the room consistently cold. This is a comfort and livability issue that should have been addressed before move-in. The unit also did not appear to be properly prepared for a new tenant. The carpet was clearly not replaced, as there was a visible yellow stain present upon move-in. In addition, the kitchen cabinets have a strong, unpleasant odor that remains even after repeated cleaning. These are basic cleanliness and maintenance concerns. There are also additional fees that were not clearly emphasized upfront, including charges for amenities such as the gym. The gym itself is very small and may not be useful to many residents, making the extra cost frustrating. Overall, the condition of the apartment and the added fees do not match the rent being charged. I regret not reviewing previous tenant feedback before making this decision. Based on my experience so far, I would not recommend this property, and I do not plan to renew my lease once it ends. I hate it here January 22nd 2026 I've emailed management for over two weeks about ongoing issues in my apartment, and nothing has been resolved. They don't reply to emails at all. If you're looking for a quality, comfortable, or luxury living experience, I would suggest spending your money somewhere it's actually worth it. This has been the worst place to live -- I would not recommend it to anyone.

First off, the on site management and maintenance are very nice and helpful people. Our issue was with the property management company and their response when our A/C unit failed over the course of two summers. The first summer we spent in the apartment, the A/C stopped cooling and the maintenance person was dispatched. He did something and the A/C worked ok the rest of the summer, but it didn't cool quite right and our bills were extremely high. Fast forward a summer later, and the A/C breaks again. This time a technician from the contractor they use is sent out, and tells us he had recommended the system be replaced a few years before. Clearly that didn't happen and the A/C just died. Over the course of four weeks management dithered in figuring out how to fix the problem. This was during July and the apartment was routinely in the mid 80's and humid. Despite repeated calls and requests to replace the unit from both us and the HVAC technician sent out, management did nothing. Eventually they put in another temporary replacement and we decided not to renew our lease. I can only feel terrible for whoever moves into our unit this summer.

When i moved out i got a piece of paper from them asking to give them a 5 stars, i honestly will…read moregive them -3 stars and here's why: 1) When i was applying for this apartment complex MG was my point of contact and it was very difficult trying to get a hold of her if i had any questions during the application process. It would take her forever to get back to me. When i was finally ready to sign all the paperwork and get the keys i asked her if we could do it another day and see if she could accommodate and she flat out told me NO. 2) When i was signing my paper work they told me that would not provide me blinds for the sliding door of my patio and i had to pay out of pocket to either get an outside company to install them for me, pay around $100 for them to source and install the blinds for me or i can just buy the blinds myself and pay them $50 to install them for me THIS BY FAR IS JUST A HUGGGEEEEEEEEE SCAM BY THEM!!!!! I just decided not to have blinds on my patio and just live with it 3) As for my unit itself that i was living in, i knew right away that i made a mistake living there and regretted my decision immediately. Looking back at it now, i realized that the carpet in my unit has very dingy and old and should have been replaced before i moved but for some reason management did not decide to do this (I'm very salty about this because in the unit next to me management replaced the carpet in the unit before the new tenets moved in.) They just shampooed my carpet and shampoo carpet machine that they used did not did a very good job cleaning my carpet. My carpet looked exactly the same before they shampooed it. 4) Also my unit had no insulation and the walls were very thin thus in the wintertime it would get very cold and i was just wasting money with heating because my unit was not built very well and all the hot air was just slowly escaping from my unit. The water pressure coming out of my sink and shower was not very strong and my dryer would take forever to dry my clothes. If i had a lot of clothes to dry i would run it like 2-3 to dry my clothes. 5) Like every one else on here dealing with the maintenance department was a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE PAIN IN THE A$$. I had issues with the water heater in my unit, it was starting to not work anymore and speaking/dealing with Connie to get someone to my unit to fix my water heater was more difficult than pulling teeth. I would leave voicemails in the maintenance phone line and no one would respond back to me, i learned a trick where you just had to dial the the number and just hang up (to avoid leaving a voice mail) until Connie or someone else would eventually pick up your call. To their credit they eventually did fix it but i was just one big hassle fixing it. At first they just kept making sure the pilot light did not extinguish then after the third visit they finally just replaced the heating unit parts and eventually it was finally fixed after that. 6) like every one else kept saying on here the management would just pile on fees on all the tenets like they just don't care. The pool was never open when i wanted to use it and the clubhouse itself was just an afterthought. Management would not and will not spend money to renovate it and make it look better. Of course, my access card would not work to enter the clubhouse and like i explained above trying to contact the maintenance/management team was a HUGGEEEEEE PAIN IN THE A$$ so i avoided using the pool and the clubhouse at all. Even like the landscaping or just general upkeep of the grounds of this place is very dingy and drap and awful and i'm convinced management /maintenance just do not care at all. In conclusion, DO NOT MOVE HERE AT ALL, AVOID THIS PLACE / DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT OR CONSIDER MOVING HERE.
