It was an easy refi, low loan, good credit etc. After it funded, they stopped returning my calls (but they still spam me with their marketing crap) and the escrow company caused a problem for me and team Shenkman did not help me to sort it out. Worst service EVER!! Stay AWAY from this company!!! These people are unprofessional, lazy and will waste your time. First, let me start off by saying that I have impeccable credit. My Fico score is in the 800s, I've never missed a payment on anything! I was looking to do a simple refinance on my home that I've owned for almost 20 years in order to take advantage of the low interest rates. The amount I was looking to refinance was about half the current value of my home. The first problem came when they didn't provide me with a secure portal with which to upload my fianancial documents. I was assuredt that they are a reputable company licensed by the State of California, blah, blah, blah. So I trusted them. The second problem came when they asked me to get my business partners to verify that I had paid off a note to them. The note had been secured by a separate property that I own and we had gone through escrow and recorded both the note and the payoff with the county. I didn't want my partners to know what I was doing with regard to my personal finances so I asked that they do a title search on the property to see that it was recorded with the county and get the deed that way. They out and out refused, telling me that it wouldn't be on a title search. I insisted that it would but they just refused to listen to me. So I had to go to my business partners and tell them what I was doing. I gave them the recorded deed and at that point was FURIOUS with them for forcing me to breech my privacy. The final thing was they asked for me to sign a SSA-89 form- but they gave me a blank form. The form asked which company needed the information. The whole time they kept telling me that this was required by the underwriter and not them. So the form asks for which company is asking for the form. If it's not them, then it must be another company. For three weeks they ignored me until I threatened to report them to the state. I asked them to give me the name of the company and they refused saying that since I refused to sign the form, they cancelled me. THEY CANCELLED ME FOR REFUSING TO SIGN A BLANK FORM THAT WOULD GIVE ANYONE ACCESS TO MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!!! I had given the EVERYTHING that they asked for except for that!!! I think they never had any intention of giving me a loan because I am an individual woman. I also think they provided that blank form in bad faith so that they wouldn't have to grant the loan. I reported them to the State of California and everyone else who has had a bad experience should do the same. I am now doing business with Prime Choice Funding and getting much better service. The only problem is that the loan rate is much higher now than when I locked in the rate with these Bozos. read more

Here is how the story goes. They sent me a letter with a very good rate. It was considerably lower than the market rate. I called them a week later and was told this. 'Sorry we do not do this rate now. The market conditions have changed.' BTW, this was before the expiration date on the offer. A reliable and reputable company would not send a promotional letter with a rate that they had no intention to offer. read more

It's unfortunate that you can't rate a company in the negative. I started my application on 6/10/2020 and locked in my rate on 6/17/2020. Gave all my docs needed; lots of delay in the process of docs. Signed my closing doc on 7/1/2020 to move forward with underwriting of my refi. We were asked for additional paperwork, and then we told that my husband's child support was in collections. However it is up to date, and paid ahead of thr date due. Proved them they were wrong, we moved forward. Along this process our rate lock date expired, and our loan agent told the processor we needed and extension and the company should own that debt. They honored a week and said we'd get it done. Ok! Tuesday 8/11/2020 we were told that we were finally approved. They need to pay off the proper companies and close the deal. Well we're still not closed. Today; I was sent to 5 I spoke to 4 different people today, who I will not name. However; I was cut off while trying to speak, I was told I was wrong and my loan agent should be rectifying this. My loan officer has done everything he can being me answes. I was then informed that "Refinancing is not their top priority" Hmmm, so we are still not closed we are 2 and a half months in and our rate lock is still expired. Great Company! read more

I was extremely disappointed with Priority Financial Network. The process took 9x longer than promised, I was charged an upfront fee which I believe is illegal and management did not seem to care. Underwriting made several mistakes and the entire process was a nightmare. If you have no personal relationship with a broker, DO NOT WORK WITH PFN. After showing me a "Pre-approval" for 3 months and dragging the process, we had a 1.5% APR increase AND and an extra POINT in the final days before signing and had no choice but to take the loan. Please save yourself time, money, and health and go somewhere else. UPDATE: Instead of contacting me to see how my experience could have been improved, Kandace Murphy, the broker we worked with, left me and my family nasty voicemails with threats to take action if we do not remove this post. No one from management reached out to us although they were well aware of the situation. What a nightmare. read more

Repeatedly asks for the same paperwork , nit picked every single transaction on my bank statement going as far as asking for my grandparents' bank statements because of a birthday check they wrote to my 1 year old daughter! We were actually told to stop inquiring about the status of the file or else he'd shelf it...what company does that? The short story: Horrible, horrible experience. Bait and switch that cost me thousands of dollars and weeks of stress. Go with another company. Learn from my mistakes. The long story: When selecting a lender, Chad communicated to me that a 30-day close wouldn't be a problem. He wrote "I run a branch and I have a lot of "juice" with my company. Plus I know everyone in the office including underwriters so it will be quick and smooth." He said he could get me a low-interest rate because "Running a branch is a luxury where I have nobody telling me how the loan needs to be structured". He was super communicative in the beginning and we started off a week ahead of schedule, so I made arrangements to pack up and move out of state. Then the chaos began: -He offended my new HOA management company (he did eventually apologize), but it was a shocking rude thread of emails for no reason -There was massive delays that he kept blaming on everyone else, which cost me so much to pay for our moving truck rental every extra day, and we had nowhere to put the truck (not to mention the danger of having everything we own in one place, on wheels), and we had to pay for accommodations as we closed 16 DAYS LATE. This doesn't seem like a lot, but when you're 7 days ahead and have a 30-day escrow, it's really, really bad -Near the end he went MIA, so my realtor called someone on his team to get an update, and he lost it and wrote to him "You, and me, and the borrower, and God, and everyone else emailing X accomplished nothing. If you want to deal with X and cut me out of the equation that's fine we will close in March going that route" (this was early January)...who threatens someone for calling the office for an update?? -He was no longer nice to me either, emailing me instead of calling saying "I can hang up and chat with you but it will get us further behind." -He was asking me for paperwork I signed over a week prior -He sent me multiple wrong closing statements to sign, one with closing costs nearly 10k higher, also ultimately the original interest rate he got me ended up not existing and I had to pay for points, and also pay for all these other things at closing that were left off from the original estimate I attempted to switch lenders and refinance immediately after I closed that's how much I didn't/don't trust this company. But they ended up selling my loan before my first payment was even due. I'm so glad to be done with them. read more

We had the good fortune of working with Deborah Loopesko of Priority Financial Network when we purchased our new home in the spring of 2021. Our first home purchase was over 15 years ago and so much has changed. We had a MILLION questions and she patiently and thoroughly answered every one of them. She promptly returned every call and email. Ms. Loopesko kept us, and our seller's agent, on track every step of the way. Not only did we close on time (a feat in itself in today's crazy housing market), but her attention to detail caught a few "errors" by the seller's agent which saved us several hundred dollars. Holly Gustlin is flat out awesome! I'd give her six stars if I could. I couldn't get a loan for a house purchase a few years ago, because I didn't have two years in my current business. (I had just started a law firm and the lender didn't care about the prior 25 years in practice). A colleague referred me to Holly, telling me if anybody could get me a loan, she could. Tough loans were one of her specialties. She did, and with an excellent rate. I've gone to her for two subsequent loans. Each time, no matter what curve ball the underwriters threw or ridiculous demands they made (including sometimes for the same information), she was able to navigate around it and close those loans for me. Again, she was very tenacious and proactive in finding great loans and rates for both. read more

The WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had. The only one that did anything to help us was John C. from the Tustin office. Stay away from Stephanie and Ashley. They make it sound like everything that went wrong is your fault! The escrow company issues checks in the wrong amounts to the wrong accounts and I had to call to clean up their mess. Another account the escrow sent the check to the wrong address, didn't reference my entire account number or even put my name as a reference. I'm working to get that cleared up now. It's been almost seven weeks and they haven't done a thing! Stephanie said I only gave them the last few numbers of the account. Funny they seemed to have the information in the beginning. Ashley misplaced paperwork and I had to resubmit. It has been nothing but a terrible nightmare!! Read other reviews, STAY AWAY...... Again, John C. was the only one that helped and took responsibility. He was also the only one that thanked us for the business. The others have no integrity or class. Nothing but money hungry agents. Unprofessional, disorganized, you have to call, email or text about 10-15 times to get 1 response from him if you are lucky. Also I was patient and gave David plenty of opportunities to "reset" the relationship. Never changed. Same song and dance. Not only did we end up saving a lot of money off our monthly number, but it was the way they handled themselves; every call, text and email was returned promptly and courteously. I normally don't write review, I only do to something very extremely best or worst. Hoping you all out there don't have to experience what I went through. Worse lender ever in my 25 years doing refinance and purchase loan. After 2 months of multiple last minutes request of documents, and same document, paystub and bank statements, I finally setup up to sign closing loan document. 3 days after signing closing document, another request to wire balance amount of my credit card, never ever my previous lender requested this. Told them all my bill is setup automatically payment from my checking acct. But nope, they insisted. Ok, I wired the money as she wanted. I did not know my loan status for 12 days, no phone call nor email. Assuming loan closed. Beginning of the month, found my previous lender still taking mortgage payment from my bank acct. Call them up, they confirmed my loan is not paid off and still active. Call this lender, she said loan was paid off to my previous lender 12 days ago. Bridge them to talk. Another hour later, senior loan officer, who insisted me to wire my credit card balance money to title company, called me saying loan fail to close because this type of loan the title company can not credit me over $2000. And this over $2000 was caused by the money I wired that she requested. Very interesting for 12 days they had no idea, they did not close the loan. I had to wake them up. Their request of money to pay off borrower credit card balance (never heard that before) cause the loan fail too close. Ok. There is more. Requested bank statement and recent paystub again, and then signed another closing loan doc again. Again, no news of the status for a week. I then called title company to find out what is going on. All I want now is a confirmation of close or no close so I can move on with other lender but I was kept in limbo. On top all those above, I was guaranteed twice that their manager will for sure give me a call. Not surprisingly that never happen. I guess this tell you how bad this company is Lost 3 months, can not move on and kept in limbo, that is really suck. I hope this review will benefit to some of you before taking a decision to deal with this lender read more

This place was all class and excellence throughout my transaction. I was able to deliver my documents electronically to my loan officer and their system seems to automatically check in documents. Additionally their system sends me updates throughout the loan process at major milestones so I was never lacking for status. I think I had about 5 calls in total from start to funding with my loan officer. //BEGIN RANT Don't believe the negative ratings from Katie and James, as when you read them, they both seem to want to hold Priority Financial accountable for the state of the lending industry as a whole. ANYWHERE you get a loan, you will be asked to provide the details of deposits on your bank statements that is not an optional condition to getting your loan approved. James E. appears to be mad at Priority Financial because he is a financial scumbag with a crappy FICO score. Guess what buddy? You're gonna be looked at as a bad risk anywhere you go until you can prove you are more responsible with your finances. Quit blaming everyone else for your lack of propriety with your creditors. Sorry for the rant but I get so agitated when people leave bad reviews based on OBVIOUS EXTERNAL FACTORS which are ubiquitous at every lender. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience with refinancing with Priority Financial, Calabasas, CA office. I was offered refinancing with my local lending officer in Austin, TX, in order to remove PMI and lower the interest rate. I submitted all paperwork, was pre-approved and we scheduled Closing for July 1st, 2019. After that, I was planning to purchase investment property and apply for short-term loan. - July 1st. I was told that closing will be delayed. When I asked what's the reason and for how long, I didn't get meaningful answer. My local lender, was communicating with Calabasas office on daily basis, but it was pain the butt and never a clear answer. - July 10. Still on hold and cannot apply for investment loan until refinance. Was finally told that it's all good with Closing date, and I can apply for investment loan anytime. - July 15. Received call and was told, that there are some delays and I cannot apply for investment loan. When I responded that I cannot be in pending mode, and need an exact Closing date, I was told again it will be "tomorrow", or next week or may be next month. - July 17-19. I applied for investment loan, being tired of waiting from lazy and unprofessional Priority Financial employees - July 23, Melleane (Loan Processor) and Anthony Regner (Branch Manager) in Calabasas office told me, that "mortgage insurance error" happened, and "we have to rework it because of your new debts with your investment". 23 days after original Closing date I have finally been told what kind of error happened!!! - July 24. Anthony Ragner assured me that they are working on possible options. I responded something like "do whatever f...k you want to do. I will proceed with my investment property. - July 26. Anthony Ragner told me, that Priority Financial cannot proceed with my refinance. SUMMARY: lazy, unprofessional and extremely unreliable employees of Priority Financial wasted almost 1 month of my time. They did a multiple errors in Closing Disclosure as well, so if you don't pay attention, you will be on a hook for hundreds or thousands dollars of extra fees for your mortgage. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. read more

I had an amazing experience with Priority Financial. My loan officer Albert was freaking fantastic! My husband and I are first time home buyers and did not know what to expect from a home loan experience. Although all of the paperwork was foreign to us as first timers, Albert took the time to explain everything in detail to us to make sure we knew exactly what we were getting and signing. We had quite the file, as we were FHA getting a short sale property. The bank was a pain in the butt and came back with many new requests towards the end of escrow, and Albert again backed us and fought to make sure we were not getting pushed over by the sellers bank. Bia Desantis was our loan officer and we had an unbelievably horrible experience with her. She was dishonest and ended up costing us thousands of dollars. In May when rates were at 3.6% but inching up, we asked to lock and she said we needed to wait until we were closer to our closing date and to "trust" her. We waited and then closing was delayed and rates were going up and she kept saying "trust me, don't lock". She said she was in touch with the analysts and they were advising not to lock. By the time we finally decided to stop trusting her and lock, our rate was 4.375%. She said we could have locked earlier but then we would have had to pay a fee to keep the rate. We would have been more than happy to do that because now we are stuck with this rate for the next 30 years! She kept telling us we could refinance in 6 months without any fees but we knew that this had been our one and only chance to get that low a rate. It still really upsets us to know that we let her convince us to wait. We trusted her "professional opinion" to our detriment. Do not use this company and definitely not Bia. read more

I am an escrow officer on a transaction recently handled by Priority Fianncial and must say we see a lot of lenders in this business. Hats goes off to Dan Buben for an excellent service he provided. Not only was he on time with delivery of loan docs but he personally showed up to the loan signing to make sure his clients were comfortable with everything. Our company does roughly 75-80 loan signings per month and we see the Loan officer in the signing maybe 1 time a year. Dan did an AMAZING job!! read more

I wish I had read these reviews before I trusted an acquaintance that I met through a friend. The things that Katie said in 2013 were what I experienced in 2015, all attributed to the "change in lending laws". The title company said they had never seen so much paperwork and pages of documentation, especially for a re-fi. The appraiser said something similar. Now I understand. Our mortgage has been sold. We have been instructed to make payments to a P.O. Box in New Jersey. All along I thought that PFN was selecting the "best lender for us". I wished I had not listened to the broker when he told me how long it would take if I used our bank, CHASE. It took 2 months or more with them! We have stellar credit. We did not get what we were promised, it took forever and was extremely stressful. read more
