I called the satellite company the next day to activate it and was told that I would get 3 months free not one year and if the dealership told me otherwise I should take it up with them. I didn't even bother I just said, well I will enjoy it for three months (it wasn't worth the hassle) so I put every single last dime i had into the down payment on this jeep and had help from a relative with the down payment to get the payments lowered monthly. at the time I was offered a warranty however I had no more money to put down for a warranty. I gave them everything I had. then as of I week later on Wednesday Feb. 12th I got in the jeep to drive to work that morning and noticed the check engine light came on. I took it to an auto mechanic the same day at around 1:45pm (my Lunch Hour) that scanned it for me and told me it was something to do with the transmission line over pressure. they referred me to Glen's Transmission which is where it is at this morning, and already 95.00 in just to put gauges on it to see if it needs a new Transmission or if it can be fixed. I relayed this information to Priority Honda and they refuse to help because it is an as is sale. which I understand, what I dont understand is the things I was told and the things that were advertised are far different from what you are told in the shop. please buyer beware if you get a vehicle from Priority Honda, unless you have the money to purchase their extended warranty don't buy it. they will not help you even thought hey say the customer is their No. 1 Priority, I am not feeling that priority. I simply did not have the money to purchase the warranty as I gave them every bit of my savings for the down payment! read more

First and foremost I want to say that I am not pleased with the service that I received on 2/25/2021. Let me start by giving you a little background. I bought the car there however, it was called Rick Woodson Honda in 2007. I have had my car serviced at the dealership the whole time that I have had it. I have never taken it anywhere else. Now fast forward to my last three oil changes with Priority Honda. At one of these appointments I was told that something was bent on my front axle I don't recall if it was right or left but this should be noted in my records. Whichever it was it was an expensive repair. I didn't notice anything wrong with the way the car handled so I put it off and kept a mental note. Since then nothing about my axle has been brought back up during any of my latter appointments. Yet, it still handles just fine. Which makes me think that nothing was ever wrong in the first place. 02/25/2021 I was told that everything physically with my car was good. Followed by them finding my drain plug to be stripped. Which needed to be replaced as well as have a helic coil installed in my oil pan. Remind you that I have never changed the oil nor took it anywhere else to have work done. So if it was stripped or crossed threaded it happened there at the dealership. I should not have to pay for something that happened at the dealership. I work in maintenance so I am familiar with the mechanics of working on cars and other equipment. Not to mention $67.50 for labor on such a minimal task. On top of that I was charged for two washers and there should only be one on the plug. I called the service manager whom seemed nice and understanding and he worked things out by refunding half the labor cost for the plug installation. But the more I think about it, things just aren't setting well with me. Now I am hesitant on my return because I fear that things will get out of hand. I had another unfavorable experience but that was with Rick Woodson so I won't speak on that. I don't like feeling as though I am being taken advantage of and I need to able to trust the dealership with the handling of my vehicle. It's sad that I am feeling this way after 14 years. Before now I would have without a doubt recommended Priority Honda to my friends and family. But now I recommend that no one takes their car there for servicing. I don't think that I can ever trust them again. I also mentioned all of this on a survey that they sent me. I was informed that it would be forwarded to a manager. I have not heard anything back from anyone as of 3/10/202. This shows me exactly how much they care about loyal customers and how they are now handling business. So while writing this Yelp review I am sure that my relationship with Priority Honda is now over. Nothing against Honda, I really like my car. To anyone reading this get your vehicle serviced there at your own risk. And if you do it would behoove you to check behind any work that they say has been done. I recommend finding a trust worthy mechanic to avoid the headaches. read more

The most unethical service department of any dealership in the valley. My 79 year old father took his 1999 Accord in for a "free" state inspection. At that time the car was in perfect mechanical condition with around 100,000 miles. Technician rejected the car for cracked engine mounts. My father agreed to have the repairs made, after picking up the car he did not get 5 miles from the dealership when the check engine light came on and the transmission started slipping. After returning to the dealership and inspecting the car they stated the transmission needed rebuilding at a cost of 6,000.00. Remember this was a perfectly functioning car prior to the state inspection and engine mount replacement. No attempt was made by the dealership to take ownership of these issues and my father was left with a malfunctioning car. Car was taken to a local mechanic and he replaced a 250.00 solenoid that was damaged at the time the engine mounts were installed, transmission performs perfectly now. Does not say a lot for the Rick Woodson's "technician's" trouble shooting abilities. Sad part is this is the second time the dealer taken advantage of an elderly man. My father also had a "free" state inspection done on his 2003 Oddessy van and was threatened with rejection for cracked engine mounts. I have been using Rick Woodson myself for 17 years. We purchased two Accords and put 250,000 plus miles on both and servicing was done exclusively by Rick Woodson and must say the quality of service has deteriorated. In the future I will be buying from Duncan.... UPDATE... The power of social media!!!! My father returned to Rick Woodson to confront them about what it actually took to repair his car. I just moved from New River Valley. I had such a good service experience with Duncan Honda in Christiansburg. I thought I would get accustomed to going to the nearest Honda dealer in Roanoke and was hoping I will get a similar experience as before. I just needed an oil change this time. I called the service department, they put my on hold forever. I noticed their website will take appointment request so I tried entering information but found that they only take an appointment only ten days from today and later... I just need an oil change the day after tomorrow before I leave for a long-distance trip, so it doesn't work. Then, I tried their "live chat" service, I thought she would help me make an appointment. But No.... she is going to have to have an advisor call me back. She gave me a link to make an appointment online... I told her I already tried but only take appointment so much ahead of the time. I tried the link she gave me anyway, and guess what, it was not a valid link! At this point, everything is like a joke with this dealer. I waited for an hour and nobody called me back. Geez, I just need an oil change. I thought I would check the review of Rick Woodson Honda and didn't find good ones... Years ago, I went to a Jiffy Lube and they forgot to put a cap on something. I read about another reviewer on here having the same experience from this dealer... Well, I am paying more money thinking mechanics at the dealer would know what to do... I am glad I didn't go to RIck Woodson Honda. To tell you the truth, honestly, sometimes it is racial discrimination. This other reviewer on here obviously is a minority person, I am as well, and some dealers treat white customers very well and not the others. If you are a white person having a good experience at Rick Woodson Honda, that would be the reason. I called my old faithful Duncan Honda and I got to speak the service department right away, I got to ask about what kind of maintenance my car is needing at my next oil change, he told me nothing else is due... they never rip off customers. I love their sincere and friendly service. It will be a little far, but I will keep going there. You see many Hondas on the streets in New River Valley, and they all look good, whether new or older models. I don't see as many Hondas here in Roanoke. TL; DR version: Rick Woodson Honda's service department has some of the worst customer service I've encountered; reps are rude and dishonest; expect to wait far too long for routine service, to overpay, and to be lied to about what was actually done to your car. Full version: My bad experiences with Rick Woodson Honda started about a year ago, when I had to return multiple times to get tires put on my car because the service department failed to contact me before my two rescheduled appointments to let me know the tires had not arrived in time. Not a big deal, right? Just a minor inconvenience. But this was when the sarcasm and all but blatant eye rolling treatment began. Fast forward to August 2014. My starter battery has died and I go in to have it replaced. I tell them I also suspect my tires are out of alignment because my car feels "wobbly." A service rep looks at me and asks, "Wobbly? What do you mean?" Every new attempt to describe what my car is doing is met with sarcasm and dismissal, as if I am an idiot who does not know how to talk about cars, and I'm told they don't hear anything that makes them think it needs an alignment. Basically, they refused to even check it out. I left feeling like they just wanted me gone and didn't have time, but for some reason wouldn't treat me like a human being and just tell me that. Last week, I bring in my car for a VA state inspection, and as I have been doing, ask them to look my car over and see if anything needs or is soon to need replacement. They look up history in the computer and suggest filter replacement and an oil change... As well as an alignment. An hour later, I'm approached in the waiting room and told they don't have the filters in and will need to schedule a return visit. Two hours later, I approach the desk to ask what is taking so long. I have watched several customers come and go. (BTW I had an appointment, and was not a drop in.) I express my concern that an arbitrary decision was made that I was low priority time wise; I point out as an hourly employee, the time I spend waiting is time I am losing getting paid at my job. At first, the rep I talk to is defensive, then sympathetic. He tells me he will do "anything" to make this right. He assures me when I come back to get the filters done, he will do everything he can to get me out in under an hour, as everything was done except the filters; the inspection was done and nothing else is needed. I warn him I can only come in the day I am travelling home for Thanksgiving. He assures me there is no reason to worry. He tells me the rough estimate of what my bill will be. I tell him I am surprised at the low amount. He points to several items on the bill that he has comped me for because he wants to "make this right." I thank him. He tells me he will leave the ticket open until I return. I leave there after 3.5 hours. I immediately regret upon leaving not asking for a paper copy of what he showed me. I return yesterday. I am told right away that he didn't realize a certain filter took a longer time to replace, so I would be there closer to two hours. The apologies after such ardent promises are minimal. Over the course of my time there, I progressively find out that none of what I was told was done last week was actually done. Including the inspection - they have found parking lights need to be replaced now to pass inspection and tires and spark plugs will need to be replaced "soon." This is after months of being told nothing is nearing need for replacement. It is clear I sat there and waited for three hours last week while nothing was done to my car. The rep listens and is apologetic. I feel like I have an ally who will help me with the bill in the end so I show patience as my promised one hour wait turns into two, three, four, five hours. I endure with humor as I am missing Thanksgiving meal prep with my family a two hour drive away. Finally, all is done and I go to pay. The rep acts proud of himself as he shows me that my total should be this really high amount, among the highest amounts I've seen charged for routine maintenance, even when I've had far more done. He proudly shows me the "discount" he is giving me over what to me was clearly inflated to begin with: an amount 2.5 times what he said it would be the first time. I confront him with this discrepancy and he quickly takes the favored tack of the service department: make me feel delusional or crazy. He says he must have just been referring to the cost of one of the filters. He doesn't remember going through the bill with me before. He can't imagine having told me what he told me. Defeated and demoralized, I agree to pay the increased bill, and leave. I notice the one upshot of the whole thing is that my car drives better now that the tires were finally aligned - which I had wanted done three months ago, was refused and mocked for asking about. NOT COMPETITIVE ON NEW CARS, 0/3 I purchased two new Honda vehicles in 2014, and am in the market for a third new Honda. I purchased the first from Rick Woodson. Although Rick Woodson was several hundred dollars higher, I went ahead and purchased locally. They did a nice job on the sales and delivery piece of that car. On the next Honda vehicle I purchased, I provided Rick Woodson an opportunity to match several other nearby Honda dealers in Danville and Richmond. They would not, so we purchased elsewhere. We have recently had occasion to buy another Honda, and again, Rick Woodson (the internet manager) would not meet the competitive offers--there were several, so we will be buying elsewhere. While the staff is polite, professional and I am sure the service folks excellent, it is interesting that a local dealership will not endeavor to be more competitive on pricing new vehicles. Not happy so far, have called them 4 times in the last 5 months, our Honda is under recall for the airbags. Each time we are told "Parts are on order, we'll call you when they arrive". A week ago we call and they claim no record of us even calling. We are supposed to drop it in the morning for the airbag replacement told it would only take an hour. I don't believe it but we'll see. What pisses me off thus far is the fact our recall letter stated no passenger front riders as the airbag was a death risk. we have a family, we have to use the car. So to be lied to already 4 times is absurd. I'm in customer service and honesty is key, so my biggest concern now reading these other reviews is whether they are actually gonna replace the bags or just say they did!?!??!?!? About a year ago I got into a car accident and purchased my first Honda Civic. Well, the car operated as expected from the fantastic reputation that Honda has. Unfortunately I ended up having some mechanical issues that needed to be taken care of. So, I called this Honda dealer and scheduled an appointment. Upon my arrival I was rudely greeted by an older man whose name I forgot. I left my car with them and used the convenient shuttle service to go back to work. The driver, Larry, was exceptionally unprofessional and made obscene gestures while driving. I felt completely unsafe as he was making sporadic adjustments as we went down the road. Finally, I received a telephone call to come out and retrieve my vehicle. Once again I was reminded why I should never do business with this company again. James who claims to be the assistant service manager greeted me and began ranting on about my vehicle acting as if I was stupid. Already insulted, I told James just to give me my key and tell me what I owe. He obnoxiously snapped back at me and continued his rant. He was the most unprofessional, rude, and irritable person I have ever done business with. Without adding in the rest of my day I can honestly say that James single handedly ruined my Woodson Honda experience. I would avoid doing business with this company and look for comparable dealers in the area. I hope this helps! read more

Purchased a vehicle from here two weeks ago through my banks car buying program and received a guaranteed price that was well under MSRP, that gets them one of the two stars on this review, but I think my bank deserves the credit more than they do. Secondly I had already secured my own financing and was ready to purchase this vehicle expeditiously as I had laid the ground work to make this an easy sale. I traveled over two hours to make what I thought would be a quick purchase, but turned into a four hour process as workers like to stand around and look at you instead of helping out as the sales rep that I was working with was busy with another customer. The sales person that sold me the car gets the second star if the review was solely on her it would be five stars as it seems she is the only one that works around this place. Now two weeks later the bank from my trade in is calling me asking for payment as they have not made the payoff on the loan. My bank released funds to the dealer on my new purchase within 48 hours. What's the hold up? If you want to buy a vehicle from here be prepared for slow and sloppy! Still have not received the necessary paperwork so I can register my vehicle in my state, so I am still waiting (15 days and counting). We went home and waited almost three hours for them to call and say it was done. Got tired of waiting so we called about 11:45 and they said they hadn't started on it yet. I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Fusion from their used car inventory. I brought a family friend along with me who recommended Danny Haley. I had already been pre-qualified for financing, so there was no need to shop around for financing resulting in heavy damage to my credit report. I recommend Mr. Haley for any purchase from their used car inventory. Also, the business manager, Tom Campbell, was very informative during the final paperwork phase and he was very easy to talk to. I test drove a "Certified" Used Honda in August, during my test drive my brother in law advised me not to purchase this car due to recognized front and back bumper damage. Against his better judgment I went back to the sales rep and advised I would indeed buy this car if the bumpers were fixed. He apologized for having the "Certified" used car on the lot, advised that it shouldn't be there and they would fix the bumpers. It took a week and I picked up my "Certified" Used Honda with a "Peace of Mind" guarantee off to Myrtle Beach. No worries right? Wrong! I hit a pot hole and had the bumper break. Came back from Myrtle and had the oil changed, and bumper repaired in July. It is now October and I am still having bumper issues. Here's my list of problems, while talking to the service manager he accused me of wrecking the car, (hitting a pot hole is indeed under the scope of normal wear and tear) He also advised me that they just did a $900 bumper repair in August. (Does that not come with a warranty?) Why was I not advised of a more serious injury when the oil was changed in July? They "fixed" it then right? I contacted American Honda Customer Service, under their "investigation" they advise me that the car did not need the oil changed, they had no record of the $900 bumper repair, and the technician did not alert his management team to the bumper issue while having the oil changed - he just jerry rigged it, but there is nothing they can do because I hit a pot hole. I still have no recourse from American Honda or Woodson Honda - I am very disappointed in the poor customer service, have no faith in their "Certified" Honda peace of mind guarantee, I was not impressed with the service managers rude, condescending communication and I will not take my now less than perfect Honda to their service department again. Made appointment, arrived a little early, explained I needed to pick my child up in an hour. They knew why I was there, what service I needed in addition to what I originally scheduled, told me the price. I declined the maintenance service and told them I would reschedule that--just give me an oil change, a free inspection, and a tire rotation, if there's time. The guy checking me in didn't think there would be enough time, but he would ask. Guess what? All was done and I was on my way in less than an hour--after I had a cool drink and a snack in the customers' lounge while I read the provided newspaper. Customer service? Yes. Pleasant experience? Service Dept- customer service was great but they are extremely over priced! Be prepared to pay $60 for an oil change! I even called to make sure I wasn't over charged by accident, and I wasn't! I recently received a recall on my 2005 Honda Civic for the airbag so I took it to Rick Woodson Honda service department. When I went to pick it up the airbag light was still on, so I questioned the service guy about it. He said it was the seat belts which also had a recall. I took it back to get the seat belt recall fixed and when I went back the high beams didn't work. I called the service manager and he said that they were not to blame even though they were working fine when I dropped it off. He told me to bring it back and they would check it out. He called to inform me that it was something under the dash and would be $425.00 to fix it. I guess they wanted to get the money back for the recall. I live 2 hours away and had to make 3 trips to get beat out of a lot of money. It sure is strange how they went out as soon as they got the vehicle. Beware the old bait and switch from these guys! I am in the market for a new vehicle for my wife and was on the fence between a Honda Hrv and a Subaru Crosstrek. This experience has made me decide to go with the Subaru. Do not trust these guys. I have been dickering with Rick Woodson on a price of a new $30+ thousand vehicle. It's a competitive market and I explained this to the salesman after I was made to feel like a "heel" for contacting other dealerships (as he described) to "chip away at his price".. I have been a customer at Rick Woodson since 2002 buying two Hondas (1 brand new) I was told the price he quoted was a "rock bottom" price and any lower they would be "losing" money. I questioned why, (me being a long time customer), were other dealerships quoting a lower price for the same vehicle (I wanted to buy from Woodson dealership again but wanted them to drop the price)...Long story short, I was informed by the GM to either "take it or leave it". Rick Woodson, I am so sorry for checking around for the best price, please forgive me. I should have taken your price without question. Gosh I feel so bad. The last time I checked it's my money and my decision, not yours. If I want to ask for a competitive price with other Honda dealers then so be it....we parted on good terms. P.S. The only reason I am not giving a 5-star rating is that I experienced a longer than expected wait for my new vehicle, but my car buying experience was otherwise EXCELLENT! I had wanted to purchase my new Pilot locally at Billy Craft Honda in Lynchburg, after having purchased our last 4 Honda vechicles from that dealership. However, they were not competitive enough to retain my business, so I requested a quote from Woodson Honda online and was very pleased with not only their excellent customer service and communication (thank you, Jamal Robinson), but they were also VERY competitive with their offer, especially on the trade-in of my Oddysey. When I traveled to Roanoke, I had the most pleasant meeting with Jamal Robinson and Carl Byrd. They generously confirmed their online offer and ordered my new car. It arrived a bit later than we were hoping, but when I went to pick it up, they gave me an even better deal than originally promised and took plenty of time to familiarize me with my new Pilot and make sure that I was happy. And I sure was! They treated me so well and I could not have been more pleased and happy with my whole car buying experience. All of my family's future business will be with Woodson Honda.
