He has always given me good gardening advice. He now stocks a nice collection of pots in addition to soils and mulches, and is bringing in fresh plants for indoor and outdoor gardens daily. The outside is always decorated with a selection of their plants, anywhere from Japanese Maple Trees to potted Bonsai trees, succulents, and herbs. My mom is obsessed with plants and says their selection is good and of good quality, but a bit pricey. But you get what you pay for! Plus it's local to the neighborhood, which is always nice. Only drawback was that I stopped to look at a cactus for a few seconds and a shop attendant kind of hovered over me outside the entire time. She offered me a nicer version of the one I was looking at, which was nice, but she was a little pushy lol. My mom also mentioned that the one time she entered the store with some family, they were followed by the attendant and kind of harped on. Guess they take a very hands on approach to sales and up selling. Regardless, I'd probably buy some plants from them in the future, as long as I can get the space I need to make a decision lol. Some prices I saw today if you need a point of comparison: - Spider Plant: $8 for small-medium pot. According to my mom, our certified Steve Irwin of house plants, this is a bit pricey. Amazon shows similar prices & you have the benefit of supporting a small local business & getting your plant instantly & being able to check out the quality in person. Seems fine to me! - Small Succulents/Cacti: 1 for $4 or 2 for $7. Cute & trendy, everyone's got one so you might as well too! (Not judging you, I swear! I am also on this same band wagon lol). On his own, without my asking, he laid the bags all along the border between grass and flower beds. How thoughtful of him! After he left, and I fastened the picket gates, one by one I opened the bags and, with some effort, lifted each and shook out its contents exactly where he had known I had to. Shannon's is the best. My family has been using this business for at least half a century or more! Nicer people there aren't.

Massive branches were dropped directly into our backyard, and the workers made no effort to clean them up. My elderly landlord ended up clearing the mess himself because he didn't want us to deal with it -- and in doing so, he injured himself. Today, I came home to find even more damage. The crew returned for a second day of work and left wood shavings scattered across our yard. More disturbingly, our fence is now broken, and there are dismantled fence posts and debris all over the garden. Our own beloved crab apple tree seems in danger of being irreparably damaged. Once again, no cleanup, no communication, and no accountability. When my upstairs neighbors attempted to speak to the crew on Friday, they were met with rudeness and complete dismissal. This company showed zero professionalism, care, or respect for neighboring property. If you care about your home or that of your neighbors, avoid M&D Landscaping.

They were given specific instructions by the sender to deliver on the appropriate date. I'm not sure how they mixed it up. The other thing is that some of the flowers started wilting within a few days. I was a bit disappointed. The flowers were pretty and looked expensive but I hope they don't keep making this mistake.
