She rushed through my hair to make the event, which turned out to be a fashion show at a club. The hair was installed so tight and messily that my boyfriend had to help me take it out. As a wedding day is one of the most important days of her life it is of utmost importance for the bride to find the perfect makeup artist. I found my perfect artist in Priscilla. From the moment I met Priscilla for my trial she was extremely professional. During my trial I was set on a look and she made that look happen. She took her time and was very detail oriented. I left extremely satisfied. As time passed I decided I wanted a more dramatic look for the wedding but time didn't allow for another trial. The day of my wedding Priscilla came and truly made me feel like a princess. My makeup was absolutely flawless and I had never felt so beautiful. My makeup stayed perfect all night long and showed beautifully in photos. She also did makeup for several of my bridesmaids who were beyond satisfied with her work as well. Priscilla is now my MUA. Indefinitely! I came across her yelp reviews and it was very convenient that she did not live far from me. She was especially kind enough to take me up on a Sunday too. She did my make-up for a birthday brunch (And I'm make-up handicapped btw) She gave me the look I wanted and beyond my expectations! I almost didn't recognize myself!(Although we amusingly did go back and forth with the red lip color lol) Personality is bright, funny conversation and had depth, created a great ambiance, great playlist and her dog was pretty cute too. I found Priscilla by looking up makeup artists on Yelp. I came across her reviews and ratings. Everyone had excellent things to say so I had to give her a call. I booked her to do my makeup for my birthday. Now let me say, I had changed the time of our appointment on her about 2-3 times... I was even late for out appointment, however Priscilla STILL had the besttttt attitude. She was very nice and sweet! I loved that! She was very cool to talk to as she did her work as well. I found Cherry on Yelp and messaged her just a few days ahead of the Tuesday night event. She responded with her quote and the relevant details, and after mulling over whether or not to spend the money, I secured the appointment with a deposit the night before. She only had a 1:00 slot available, but she was able to come to me, meeting me in my hotel room. She arrived right on time with an arsenal of beauty supplies. I liked her immediately. She was so friendly and energetic, and said flattering things about my skin, obviously music to my 39-year-old ears. I had a great time hanging out with her. She asked what I was looking for and I said I was walking a red carpet and just wanted to look good. She took me through her overall plan and started with my eye makeup, layering on colors and checking in to see if I was okay with the level of drama. I didn't know enough to weigh in and let her do her thing, and less than an hour later, I was fully dolled up. She even put fake eyelashes on top of my already fake eyelashes. To be honest, I was a little worried at first. I looked very dramatic for two in the afternoon, and I wondered if I'd let her go overboard. Once I was dressed and at the premiere, though, I felt fairly confident and comfortable and got lots of compliments. I walked the carpet, the second time I've done that in my life, and stood and posed awkwardly for a million photos. I've seen the pictures from both events and am really glad I got my makeup done this time around. The bolder makeup just worked better with those bright lights. I'm not professionally pretty (I'm a writer, which is, if anything, an ugly person's job) so it was fun to get my face painted and hang out with the attractive people who go to television premieres.
