I…read morealways dread this because my prescription is so awful and changes every year, so I always need a new contact prescription and new glasses. On top of that, I hate wearing glasses because even after paying extra for the thinner lens, my lenses are so thick that I look ridiculous wearing them. This year was different. My insurance changed so I looked for a new eye care place near our home in Maplewood. I came across this location and chose it because they had Saturday hours and good deals through my insurance. My eye exam was quick and painless, and I came out with a new glasses and contacts prescription. I went to pick our glasses. Instead of searching through a ton of mediocre frames and waiting in line for what seems forever to get someone to assist you, I was helped quickly by someone that understands my style and need for a frame that goes well with my thick lenses. She walked me through all of my options and got me the cheapest set of the best glasses possible (anti reflective, thinner lenses, the whole 9 yards). After ordering them, I was led to the counter where I also ordered contacts and was given a rebate form to send in once I received them. A week later, my contacts arrived at my home and less than two weeks later, my glasses arrived. They are amazing! For literally years, probably 15 to give perspective, I've only worn glasses at night because I hate how I couldn't see as well with them and how bad they looked on me. Now I wear them whenever my eyes are tired or just for fun! It's so nice to be able to give my eyes a break, especially when I work overnights or long hours in the hospital. I highly recommend this place. They have a huge selection of awesome glasses, service is quick and painful, and the staff are all super nice and eager to help. So glad I came here!

I had to wait a little bit to get my glasses fitted and ordered because there was another customer being helped and Lisa came over to take care of that process so I wouldn't have to wait. When a pair of sports glasses I ordered with prescription lenses did not fit, they refunded me the cost of the frame and lenses. And most recently, when I ordered new prescription lenses and the lab broke my frame, Brad was able to get a partial reimbursement for the cost of having to purchase new frames. I recommend this eye care center very highly!

I asked about a drooping eye, and they said they'd have to refer me somewhere else as they couldn't diagnose it. Well that cost me an additional $50 plus my insurance paid $119. I was struggling with the prescription, and that was my main concern. I was trying to figure out why it wasn't working for me - including the possible dropping eye. Turned out it was the prescription, and now I'm just fine, but it still cost me an extra $50 after I already paid $102 (insurance paid $367) so they made out $ on me. Needless to say, I'm switching eye care centers.

We were able to get appointments within a week and were very pleased with how friendly and efficient everyone in the office was. Dr. Seyller is extremely knowledgeable and gave both my husband and I information that we hadn't heard before from other eye doctors. She seemed to go above and beyond. Next we worked with Elliott in choosing our frames and were very impressed. He was very attentive and listened to what we liked but also made great recommendations based on what he was hearing us say. All in all, a very positive experience and we would highly recommend St. Croix Vision. We will be long time customers!

I was a longtime patient of Dr. Hansen (10+ years) and always felt I received good care with him. I…read morerecently relocated but was back home visiting family and was having problems with the fit of my glasses, which were purchased elsewhere. A family member suggested I visit St Anthony Eye Clinic because they had also had a pair of purchased-elsewhere glasses adjusted there at no cost. Because I had been a patient for many years, I stopped in and politely asked whether they might be able to help me adjust one of the arms, which was loose, and which I'd been having trouble tightening on my own. The woman who met me at the door was polite and said they'd be happy to help, but the person I spoke with at the optical counter (an older woman with short hair and glasses) rudely rebuffed me, sneeringly saying that they won't touch glasses they didn't sell without a $40 fitting fee. After handling my glasses she shoved them back at me without wiping them off or apologizing for the inconvenience or cost. Ten to twenty dollars I could understand, but to charge a patient of 10+ years $40 to tighten the loose arm on a pair of glasses is extortionate, and the attitude was galling. I was really taken aback by how dismissive and rude this person was. I left the office feeling humiliated and upset. If they couldn't offer the service at a reasonable cost, that's their prerogative, but as a small business working with seemingly locale clientele, a little kindness and basic courtesy would go a long way, and it was disappointing to encounter the lack of it. I wouldn't recommend St. Anthony Optical to anyone after this experience.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident I'm getting the best care for my eyes! I see Dr. VanMeter for my regular eye exams. She takes the time to listen to me and makes sure I'm happy with my prescription. She always manages to dig up some samples for me, despite my not-too-common prescription. The exam rooms are spotless. It's a nice, quiet setting that's perfect for folks who experience appointment anxiety. This past year was my first time ordering glasses from the store, and I'd definitely order again. The staff were extremely helpful with my indecisiveness about the frames. They had great suggestions, and I ended up with a pair I love. I initially had some issues with the fit, and they encouraged me to return as many times as necessary to ensure I was comfortable with them. Their selection of frames are on the expensive side, but they seem to be worth the price. Things to note: There's a parking garage in the same building. You can access it through the alley to the left of the clinic. They have convenient online scheduling. They also offer an online contact ordering system, but it's a little confusing to use. I typically ask staff to order my contacts for me after my appointments.
