Well I called and got an answering service. I don't want to leave a long winded message, so I waited 5-10 minutes and called again. This was at 4 in the afternoon on a Friday. Second time I called back, a recording asked me to leave my name and reason for calling first before the person on the other end would accept the call. Really? They're screening calls? That doesn't seem caring and compassionate to me, so they lose my business, and yes, it is a business as they get paid very well by insurance for each patient they take on.

Our only choice was Hospice at another facility but we chose to take Dad home. Within days Silver State Hospice had located and delivered all needed equipment assigned a new doctor provided register nurses on site and delicately demonstrated what compassionate and professional Hospice Care can be. They met our immediate needs and felt like extended family. Dad hung on long enough to say his goodbyes and was well cared for into a peaceful transition at home.
