The caregivers always have a smile and a warm greeting. They're consistently present, attentive, very kind and patient with the residents. I love how they always jump in to dance and encourage the residents to participate - it's makes for a great time for me and all in attendance. The residents are always neat & clean, and the place is spotless! They receive beautifully displayed snacks during happy hour. Honestly, I can't say enough good things, It's genuinely one of my favorite places to perform and I look forward to it every time. If I ever needed a place for a family member, I would not hesitate to choose Silverado Red Rock.

Knowing that Las Vegas doesn't always have the best reputation in healthcare, I was nervous about finding a place that would truly care for my aging parents. From my very first tour of Silverado Red Rock, I was impressed--and even more thrilled when I saw there were dogs living on the premises. The time my parents spent at Silverado was truly a gift. I've wanted to leave a review for a long time, but when you're still working, visiting often, and carrying so much on your plate, it can take a while to find the right moment. Both of my parents recently passed and now I can reflect back and say without hesitation that choosing Silverado Red Rock was one of the best decisions I could have made for them and me. The staff treat every resident with dignity, respect, and genuine love. My experience was that you are treated like family here. Most often you'll be greeted by Bob, the dog, wagging his tail at the front door. What impressed me most was how everyone--from management to front desk, kitchen, laundry, physical therapy staff and maintenance--interacted with the residents daily. No one was "just doing a job." Silverado brings real life and joy into the community with endless activities: cooking foods from around the world, live music, Sunday services, spa days, exercise groups, themed luncheons, nightly movies, and field trips around town. The staff actively engages with each resident and honor them exactly where they are in life. One time while visiting I learned to play Lotería with the residents while sipping "mock" margaritas. Was it 100% perfect every single moment? Of course not. But for my parents, it was absolutely the perfect place. They were safe, celebrated, and deeply cared for. Both of my parents have since passed, yet I still stop by to say hello--because that's how much the people here became part of my life too. I'll always be grateful for the love, dignity, and family Silverado gave to my mom and dad. And if you want to know more, here's why I would give Silverado a solid five stars: Dignity: Residents eat in the dining room with real plates, silverware, and glasses. Whenever possible, people are taken out of their wheelchairs to sit at the table. Daily care--from bathing to dressing--is done with gentleness and respect. Even when memory is faltering, residents are still engaged in meaningful ways, whether helping cook or simply being asked about their lives. Respect: Residents are kept active and involved. I was nervous my mom might end up sitting idly in front of an iPad, but instead she was busy and engaged every single day. Staff brought joy to sing-alongs, styled women's hair for themed luncheons, gathered residents for the Super Bowl, and made sure no one was left out. Genuine Love: I witnessed staff hugging residents, complimenting them, and making them feel special. I saw kitchen staff go out of their way to just say how beautiful someone's hair looked. I saw front desk staff walking with residents to their rooms, or stopping to ask how their day was. Those small acts of love and kindness happened all the time. If you're searching for a place where your loved one will not only be cared for, but truly loved and respected, Silverado Red Rock is it.

What I really loved about this place is that the manager and owners are caring individuals, Christians if that matters to you. This was important because their perspective on caregiving was much better than what you might get from an establishment just out for a profit. I felt that they really cared about my mother and wanted her to be as happy as possible. If you knew my mom, you would know how cranky she could be. So of course it was tough for her to be in a situation where she didn't have control and where there are rules to be followed. So their caring of course has limits. For example, for safety we were not allowed to visit during Covid at specific times. But honestly, I would prefer that over a lax facility that puts patient's health at risk. However, in those instances, they were more than willing to let me FaceTime mom and call whenever I wanted to. Another thing I liked is that the work shifts include night time. In the prior home she was in, there were only two patients maximum and the owners would sleep at night and get up to take care of their patients if needed. That made for very cranky owners because they were sleep deprived at times. The patience was not always intact. At Ohana, however, individuals come in specifically to work the night shift and are meant to stay awake the whole time and take care of other cleaning functions as well. So I had a level of comfort knowing that my mom could get help more easily at night. I think all of the residents are either memory care or immobile. I say that because each resident gets a button to push if they need help. There is a corresponding number for each room and the number shows in the living room on a display. That is really nice because I knew that my mom wouldn't have to yell really loud to try to get some help if needed. They also have a log where they keep track of all the medication and bowel movements and other information on each patient so that whoever comes in next will have the information. As a rule, I believe they change those that have to wear adult diapers every two or three hours. I could be wrong but I think that was the requirement. I believe with five or less residents they have one person working each shift and with 6 to 8 they have two people working each shift. So you know that they will get the care they need with another employee. Plus, the manager is often there as well and the owners pop in for visits. Another thing I loved about the facility is that they would really make birthdays special. They would get cakes and bring everybody out and have a celebration. They also celebrated every holiday. In addition, we had a walk for Alzheimer's that they do every year. They take all the patients out in wheelchairs and wheel them around the neighborhood. With up to eight patients and only two employees, there are going to be times when a patient pushes the button but an employee doesn't get to them as fast as the patient would like. This was always stressful for my mother. However, I constantly told her that if we wanted the level of care she was complaining to get, it would cost a lot more! If you find this place through an individual that refers it, be careful because they will want to charge you a finder fee even if they don't mention it to you. So be sure to ask if there is a fee involved. It could be up to $3000. I learned the hard way.
